Yes, I should try drying them first, although I’ve heard it degrades some of the thc and cbd which is why I freeze and make fresh.
You know what though, I’ve never tried it and that’s where the proof lies for me so I’m going to give it a whirl and see if there is a noticeable differenceCan you post a pic of your curing process, please and thanks!
That's worth a try. It is going to be easy for me as I have lots of cured leaf and I can tell I'm going to have a huge supply of green leaf in the next week. Dee is so thick I can hardly get my hand in there. Maybe I should have been defoliating more when she was younger.
I may get a lot of popcorn deep in the jungle ---

Yea --- I don't go on our first vacation until July 1. I want to stay active here on 420 while away so I don't forget all that I've learned.
I knew it was a while away. I didn't know if you were going all blackout and stuff or not.

4/5/18 - Brewing up a witches brew. I'm starting with a big Turkey Roasting Pan full of cured fan leaves (no bud). I'll get a weight on it after decarb. I just put it in the oven at 220 F for 50 minutes. I turned on the whole house fan to extract the smell....

I knew it was a while away. I didn't know if you were going all blackout and stuff or not.
I hope to stay tuned in. I can tell you that I had to do a bit of quick study after being away for 2 months between my first grow and this grow. It is amazing how many little things you forget. Ugh.... maybe it's just my age.

Actually it's mine. I had to buy a longer one for measuring Briar and Mrs. G. They got taller than the ruler.
She doesn't mind as long as the only thing I'm taking pictures of are my plants....

First Batch of Green Dragon (Tincture) using my Magic Butter Machine. When complete you will understand why it's called green dragon.
Put 1/2 of the leaf (about 90 grams) that I crunched down after decarbination and poured about a 2/3 liter of Everclear over it. That brought the level up to the mid point mark between Min and Max.
I next set the temperature to 160 F / 71 C for 8 hours. It is pretty wild to watch but suggest you move to a room away from where you will be. It is noisy. When it starts it initially heats up the mixture then about every 20-30 seconds the blender blade engages for about 5 seconds. Chops the shit out of the mixture. There are a bunch of lights on the top that spin and change color.
After it completed, I strained the mixture into a Ball Jar and set aside while I brew up the second batch. After the next batch is done I will be evaporating it down to a dosage that I like. I have no pre-defined expectations as this is my first experimentation with Fan leaves - no bud.

Starting to see some amber on the lower Colas. I'm thinking that chop will begin in about a week. Keeping an eye on them daily (well maybe a couple times a day).
