Troy's 2nd - Autos - DP Ultimate & Euphoria, Meph Alien v Tangle, RQS Diesel

Good Moring - It's always ice to get up and catch up with all the great journals here at 420Magaine.

Stretch is still on - Dee put on another inch but appears to be slowing. Alison in the rear has taken off and is about 6 inches taller than Dee. She is so far in the back I can do little for her except let her do her own thing.

Awww, okay Bonsai, I would be happy to share. Imo, back-building is a training technique to build more width in your bud. Some people do it early, but for me, I do it in the last 4 weeks of flower when I want to enhance the growth as opposed to directing it. I also want the vertical stretch to stop before I do it.

Some times my bud has been wide enough and I chose not to do it. Like all training techniques you want to adapt it to your style of growing. Maybe Troy can give his perspective to because we all have different times of doing things, but we all agree on adapting training techniques to customize your grow. I believe is Doc Bud's back building technique, I can't remember at all.

Hope it helps. Thanks Troy for letting me share in your journal. :thanks:

Thanks G2..... I've read the procedure, but haven't talked to anyone that actually had done it.

:thanks:
Yes... it is an Auto - I understanding Back Building really doesn't produce more but it just makes it look plumper and better shaped.

You grafted an auto..... wow... That is impressive. Do you have it in a journal?

Thanks for the response. I'm not really concerned with the shape as long as it can be made to fit in a bowl, paper, etc.

Thanks for the info..... :thanks:

mmmm Hindu Kush

What do you like about the Kush - Hindu Kush seems like everyone's favorite. I use it mostly for chronic insomnia and it REALLY works.

It is in the journal and not really that impressive. Basically I fucked up and broke a branch off of my plant. Post 211 and 235 have a couple pictures. I put it back in place with a toothpick as a splint and a little wire. I sealed the joint with Wood Glue - the branch initially wilted rather heavily and I thought I lost it but suddenly it healed itself and took off.

Kush is one of the oldest strains
I love the smell the taste and the effect
They are generally a very hardy plant
I put a good Kush ahead of Thai
Making Thai stick is an art in itself

I can't wait. So far they have really taken off. I wonder if planting so deep because of the long stems will cause them to be smaller by stopping growth when they hit the bottom of the pot.

Dee looks a lot like Mary from my last grow and she ended up with 10-12" colas. So keep doing what you are doing and you'll be in for a treat.

Thanks @Stupidface . I've been comparing her to pictures in your journal and she is looking very similar. I'll have to count the Colas

Oh, I thought you grafted two plants together...... I would love to do it, but think I would need photoperiod plants.

We had an apple tree in the front yard when I was a kid. It had three different types of apples on it. The main tree and two grafted limbs. it was great.

Just imagine an indica with a sativa branch.... Mmmmm....the possibilities.

I think you'll have more total colas because I snipped some buds from her along the way. I meant with the way Dee is stacked she will have nice long colas.

I'm sure that it is possible. I agree that it would probably be best to use a Photo.

For example
That is a beautiful Cola. I just hope mine stacks up like that.

I've been comparing mine to @Bizz Beachbum he has been growing some DP Auto-Ultimates that are just about 1 month ahead of mine. Now Dee is a Daiquiri Lime and definitely is much more dense than anything I have grown. She loved the HSD and continues to do well. I keep defoliating the underside and can't keep ahead of her. I may just let it go.

Since the plants seem to be going lots longer than breeders recommendation I'm glad I started my next grow earlier than originally planed. At least they will have plenty of time to finish off before the end of June.
