TripleG's Apartment Based Breeding Grounds

Trim jail sucks for sure! Check out my current mess in bloom tent. 2 - 24k's, one hammer and one lemon snow cone. The 24k's are both in the back. I had to tie them down so they didn't hit the light. But oh boy do I really like them. The hammer pheno's I had were average hybrids, middle of the road at best. This is my last run with the hammer. The 24k is staying around for awhile

Did you top them or is the side branching natural?
All natural. I am a big fan of the plant structure.

Isn't it a telltale problem with they start yellowing from the bottom up towards the top? My first guess would be they're rootbound but I've seen you grow some pretty big plants in one of those tiny pots so maybe that's not it.
I would think rootbound if it weren't for what looks like a deficiency at the top as well. But normally my plants just droop for a couple of weeks and then bounce back when they get bound up, maybe drop handful leaves after that. That's why I thought ph, but that was a dead end. Neither of the Sensi NLs I just chopped were rootbound, same Maxwell house containers.

They are the only two plants running right now with anything in the way of problems. The Chemdawg x Sour Angel is loving life. I will report back about the two problem children in a couple of days, they might just drop some leaves and be fine.

Looking nice in there.

It seems like the hammer might be a bit unstable for reliable breeding for long term projects. I still can't count it out, some of my favorite plants to grow have been unstable. I have had one cross that was pretty much garbage, At least the two seeds I grew out were disgusting smoke despite their looks.

About how long is the real (not breeder timeline) flowering time on 24k? I don't know when I will be able to fit her in, probably after I fire up the closet again this fall, too much heat for the summer.

@Dankman_420 Your flowering tent always looks so tidy and clean ;) And your plants all look great. Not surprising the 24K is a hit. I don't think I've heard anyone speak badly about any cross with Tangie as one of the parents.

It's finished at 9 weeks. Super easy plant to grow. Only issue is it's a stretcher. Lol

It has come to my attention that the creator of gems like Purple Afghani x BCBD Purps and Trailer Trash Betty is terminal. To honor this man and his 40 years of breeding without being able to take credit for all of his work, my entire next run will be Outlaw Genetics.

In that lineup we have the two cultivars above plus, Purple Betty, Double Sour Purple Kush, as well as preserved lines of Querkle, and Da Purps. Should be a fun little grow show. I may include some Devil's Pitchfork x Trailer Trash Betty just because he created TTB for breeding and I have done just that.

I will get the closet running again (seriously I just have to hang a light) and seeds will be skuffed and soaking tonight. Big turn around from "I'm not running the closet til fall, but I would feel better doing it now so that he has a chance to see something really special come out of my mess.

Thinking i should plant 4 of each cultivar. Also, Double Sour Purple Kush is ultra rare (I only possess 8 beans) so come flowering time I'm going to have to bust out my CS and get serious. I have only 10 Querkle as they are also quite rare at the moment, I will have a preservation project for them in the near future as well.

That's about it for now. I am sure I can find time to ramble properly later on when my boy takes a nap. This is serious business to me.

Sorry to hear about your amigo. Never like to hear something like that. Yesterday I think it was you had a picture on here of Harlequin seeds. What that all the seeds you got off that plant? Cause if so after you give me those what will you have left for yourself?

I spent a couple hour today in trim jail getting a start on the Black Cherry Punch plant. She is a flip + 63 days today and she is ready to come down. I had other stuff to get done today which included up-potting the Black Cherry Punch replacement. I managed to trim about 1/3 of the plant. This is my first harvest of this plant/strain and I know now without a doubt it's a keeper and I will make an effort to reverse one here in the very near future. The buds are very much like the Northern Lights...…….hard as rocks and heavy. And since I'm on this trim hash kick the trim from this plant should produce some amazing hash as the trim is COVERED with trichromes. Thought I would share a couple pictures. And BTW the 15" mark there is just a coincidence.

Removed the 44w cob from the tent and put it in the closet. Also put Incredible Bulk and SSDC back in to ease crowding problems at feeding time.

I wont be able to do like I wanted and plant 24 plants. I've done it, I could do it, but I'm choosing not to. With less than a week left on the DP F2s and awhile left on everything else, I am going to start with the Outlaw gear I haven't grown yet.

I will plant 4 Double Sour Purple Kush in Maxwell House containers, and 5 Da Purps in small containers. The DSPK will get some veg time, Da Purps will go into the tent as soon as the Devil's Pitchfork F2s are chopped. After Da Purps rotates to the tent I will break into my Purple Betty stash and crack 4 of those. Hoping to give those a nice veg time as well. And then we will move on from there to Querkle.

There are already 3-4 more than that... Most of those seeds came from one bud, we've only broken up 3 of the tiniest. There will be more, after we smoke the buds that they are drying in, lol. I cant remember if you wanted 5 or 10, either way is fine. Even if I only find 15 more, I can do lots with 15 seeds.

I received some more beans today. Afghan x Skunk F1, a few unknown Autos someone made, Lemon Tonic with 1:1 thc:cbd, and a dozen more DDAs. Seems some folks like keeping me busy, lol.

I saw Seedsman was lurking around my thread. Oh would I love to distribute seeds through them.

As I end this ramble of all rambles, wife says we are up to 25 Harlequin seeds. :blunt:

Hey , Quite the good read , I’m a little late for the party but better late then never!! How are you doing @Ganjagrowergu , plants are looking good, I would love to play with all those strains and breeding but I only stick to the 4 , I have 3 outside and one inside, and I let her veg for a few days. It’s nice to see someone doing all this in such a small space, mind if I pull up a chair :peace:

Go right ahead. And feel free to jump in at any time. As you can tell it's a bit of a rambling mess.

I will say that life would be a lot simpler with fewer plants, lol. I was really hooked on pollen chucking as soon as I grew the first of my own seeds out.

I love smoking weed, I love growing weed (most times), but creating new cultivars and testing new hybrids is the bee's knees.

Here are some rushed photos. I planted Da Purps, forgot to get a shot of little Glueberry, and had trouble with my phone/camera. Zorillo Loco grew above the QBs and needed punishment. And the closet now has more light than it will ever need... let's get into it.

Took two hits off of a standard spoon style glass pipe and was instantly greeted with a pure indica feeling ensnaring my very conciousness. Fire!

The loco is  gonna knuckle up :) Hopefully it stays happy. It's interesting to see how they grow hard ass knuckles. Amazing plants
That stem is harder than it looks too. She definitely fought back. I hated to do it, but I couldn't just let her go either. Honestly I thought she was done stretching, hopefully this puts a damper on her plans of touching the ceiling.

@beez0404 my wife harvested these today. I'll probably soak a few in about a week to check viability. I don't forsee any problems though. Glad I waited that extra week before chop.

This just goes to show , that even if your on a tight budget you can still grow , breed and crest your own amazing genetics. Hats off to you. There’s a website called groweeedeasy.com and I learned everything off here , if you have some spare time and like to read give it a go some real good tips on how to maximize your grow space.

One question so your grow medium is all lava rock and only lava rock ? I know there would be a lot of oxygen for the root zone , just wondering how does it retain water . Really love the budget style grow though. Power to the micro grower.

I have a small space bucket that I am going to start growing in, lately I’ve been doing bigger grows , this current grow I vegged the plant for 105 days before flipping to 12/12 and it’s nice to get a half p plant but it’s such a long turn around and it’s only my second indoor grow so I’m learning , so I want to use the space bucket and do smaller scale and less time , so I will have more chances to dial in my grow. The only reason I was vegging for so long was the fact I was only allowed to grow if I stayed in the legal number so I want to maximize my harvest, or else I would run 6 plants in the 2x4 and just scrog it , it would take a fraction of the time to fill the tent.
But I am rambling on here . Just wanted to let you know I love what your doing , and keep it up bud

All lava rock, mostly. Smaller hempys get a coco coir cap, the coffee can size and up have the seeds started in 9cm fabric pots full of coco. I used to do all coco caps and aquarium gravel for the rest.

Lava rock requires feeding every other day depending on temps. I do have a Tupperware container with 5 9cm fabric pots of coco nestled in lava rock for support. That would be these ones.

Next time you get a rogue plant that’s stretching too much just bend it down slightly and tie it , avoid the super crop if you can it just puts more stress in the plant and no recovery time needed .
This is the only training I do. I understand the supercrop is stressful, but in my world I don't have much extra time to spend being careful. Sometimes, I just have to bend them over, lol.

Please tell me the fingernails with the fluorescent green nail polish belong to your wife!!!

Yo brother, always looking good in your garden! :bravo: Whenever i come round you are either harvest super dank weed or quality beans! Love it.
