Tra, what is the tape around the sticks? Is it duct tape? I know you made Trahooks as wells as Carhooks. Do you have an example / explanation somewhere? I just bought plant bending wire and am now on a mission to prepare some hooks. Have you decided if you are going to flip on Sunday? Also, what did you cut the pool noodle with lol? Will a bread knife do?

Because my plant is a bit of a monster, I need my Carhooks to be longer so I sticky tape two together. I also bought some cheap metal skewers and created a large hook. I use these on the super strong branches.

In my signature thing I have a Carhook link. But if you @ carcass he will 100% help you.

So the pool noodle, don’t try and cut through the centre like I did. My first noodle looked like a ragged mess. Cut through one side using a sharp knife, then the other. A super sharp Stanley knife would be good, actually I think you call them box cutters. Omg does that even make sense? I’ll try and draw a picture.

And the boss just said flip next Sunday, so we flip next Sunday. Lolll

It’s exactly how I killed noodle number 1. I do like the fact my brain knows me well enough to buy two noodles “just in case you fuck the first one”

Sunday Summary

So what a fabulous week for Cleo. She is really kicking growth goals and is responding well to her training. As Carcass recommended, I’m going to wait one more week before flipping.

She is a beautiful shade of green, and her canopy is quite levelish. She has spent the whole day in the rain today and as you can see, she loved it!

She nearly needs her noodle, but not quite.

Quick group shot, and her big sisters got put back in the attic. Her poor sisters have to stay locked up as they are in the budrot zone

So I’m outside tweaking Cleo and I couldn’t help but admire my technique. I saw a poster this morning post a pic of their Carhooks, and they’d been making them for like 5 seconds, and they were really good. (I think it was Mel).

So I’ve been using Carhooks for over a year. As you would expect there has been a vast improvement in my technique. To the point I thought I’d make an educational tutorial. I’ve added pictures for the slower witted member who has trouble processing words.

Carhook Training

Step 1

First I start with a very knotted ball of wire. Then randomly cut a piece depending on mood. Sometimes I cut from the middle, sometimes the outside, but I seldom try and find an end.

Step 2

Choose a skewer

Step 3

Manically spin wire around the skewer till you produce what looks like a drunk hook that’s snorted too much Charlie and needs a taxi ASAP

Step 4

Bish bash bosh motherfuckers. Done
