Yes it’s Summer, but right at this second I’m caught up in a flood. I’m a 0700 start at work today and I have a terrible feeling I might have to stay at work since many workers won’t be able to get in. Because I’m considered essential when it comes to shit times, I have to work double shifts if the need be.

I just walked downstairs and my garage and laundry are full of water. I really should be down there trying to broom it out, but given the forecast more will come. You can’t fight nature. I’ve just blocked up the back door best I can with towels.

I'm having same issues. I feel for ya. Fought water down stairs for 3 days now. It sucks for sure
 
Omg I’m flooded!

Literally just got home from work and my house downstairs is flooded. Well not flooded, but I have 2 inches of water though it.

I shouldn’t complain there are so many houses under water, but at the end of a 10 hour day the last thing I want to do is try and sweep out water. It’s just spitting at the moment and I’m waiting for the SES to bring me some sandbags. Hopefully I can work something out. My bf is rained in at his work.

Omg a tree fell on my sons car. Minimal damage thankfully.

Send thoughts and prayer, no fuck that, they do fuck all. Send dry vibes!

Good morning!

Omg we are so lucky in this country! So so lucky. I rang the SES to ask about sandbags, sure they said, we might be a while though. No cost to me may I add. So I got the broom swept out the water best I could, then used my good fucking towels and my good fucking doona covers to totally, well not totally, but dry to the point there were no puddles. Lucky for me it was like 5cm of clean fresh rain water, not that silty mud.

As luck would have it I finished just as the SES arrived, they are super busy, so they dropped and ran. My neighbour down then end of my street (who I always thought was dodgy) saw me lugging sandbags as he drove past, and stopped and helped me. We were both soaking, and it just goes to show, sometimes the assumption we make about others are dead right, he’s dodgy as fuck lollllingggg!

Just took a couple of pics. Zero water inside. The rain was so heavy it came down my driveway like a firehouse. The drains couldn’t cope. Tbh there were leaves in that grate which wasn’t helping). Rain has really subsided. Bring it Mother Nature! I’m ready! (Jokes lady, jokes. Please dial back the rain. We see your power and might).

I’m a 0700 start. I’m one of a few that can get in. Nurse Manager yesterday said we had 37 nurses off on flood leave. On the upside the ambos can’t really get in so the only real new admits are choppered in. I had 2 admissions.

Omg Dodgy Dude! No offence to over 50 year old men who choose to have an eyebrow piercing but, offence intended. Just fucking stop it. There should be an unwritten rule, as a man, the day you find your first grey pubic hair, eyebrow ring comes out.

It’s like a g banger for women. Come 50, you just need to stop (I was ahead of my time, I stopped in my 40’s). Embrace sensibility. They are so uncomfortable. I think one of the happiest days in my underwear wearing life was being able to embrace really big sensible knickers. Its like a right of passage.

Hello peepsters :) I hope you are having the best day.

Well it’s been an annoying week in the grow room. Not much sun and lots of rain and high humidity. I’m really worried about that root fungus. My nits are still under control, thankfully. It will be interesting to see if they become more manageable as I harvest my clones and move forward with seed grows. I think the most annoying thing is having no Sunday flower photo/pool shots for my collage update coz it’s fucking pouring! It’s triggering my never deviate from routine anxiety. Lollinggggg.

Merrie looks okay. Anyone who knows me knows I hate yellowing leaves. I feel so very proud I am leaving them till M sucks out every last green drop of life.

She is stacking. I’m a bit nervous. She had one drooping branch, a small non eventful branch, not a Coca-Cola one. I cut it straight off, but I’m not sure if it was because she was so dry, they all were coz I turned the humidity right down because of the thickness of our air. I’ll watch her like a hawk. She is swelling daily.

This TD is so beautiful. Her little chodes are like Christmas baubles. What they lack in length they make up for in number. She has them EVERYWHERE! And they too are starting to swell.

My little twins continue to dazzle me. The Mimosa EVO is easily the prettiest strain I’ve grown yet. MC has the most even canopy, but Bubbles is stacking on that diamond dust. This plant smells divine. They are two very different plants. They are definitely not carbon copies of Mimmy (god rest her roots ☠️), well I don’t think they are.

Omg Carcass was right (of course he was lolll) about lowering the bulb. She was getting so leggy. I think going forward I’ll start all of my seeds under the lamp. I think she is a very pretty little one and thankfully so far no signs of any nits.

And a shout out to my friend @Carcass, who joined me in the orphanage this week after the passing of his beloved mother. I think it highlights how everyone in here goes through hard days, heartbreak and shit stuff. It is nice to know we have a cyber community to catch us if we need it.

Sounds like a crazy last few days. You do handle things well. The ladies look dazzling with their diamond dust. :yummy:

Nits are a bitch. Spray your youngsters early through veg. You want them gone for good.
 
Gotta say I love your round ups Trala, Sunday is always been my favourite day, look forward to it and this every week.

Good to see the girls going strong despite the shit weather. Another week, another box ticked, you're doing great!

Ive heard all sorts of theories but Blue can be buried to negate the leggy stem on up pot. Better when theyre seedlings, but these plants are adaptable. Ive never seen any evidence against it, in fact seen them do like the tomatos do, start rooting from a buried stem.

As long as your an inch or so under the first node it will be fine.

Next round change up to the blue spectrum and go a lower wattage. After 14 days you can up the intensity. She looks like she is going to be a star.

Love love love the wine bottle, now just need to convince you to take it out by the pool for every grow. Lol.

Yep, just like tomatoes, they will grow new roots on a buried stem. So, at up-pot, bury it a bit deeper than it sits in its current container and some of that initial leggyness will dissappear down below.

Was your flood water proper dirty flood water or clean water run off?

We’re all good. Sons car wasn’t really damaged from that random tree fall. The ground is so wet underfoot.

Omg it’s been a hot, wet, wild adventure - much like the time I [*Deleted by Admin due to lewd and inappropriate content*]. It’s still darkish outside and I can’t determine whether it’s going to be a sunny day or not. I don’t BOM, I use my window for weather updates.

On the upside I have four delicious days off and I’m living for them!

Oh I will. I’m going to be on my seeds like a fat kid on cake.

I have real fungus fear tho. It seemed to strike Mimmy halfway through bud. I just made that up lol, I can’t remember exactly when it struck her, but her buds were formed I know that. Just not cooked enough. That Peyote looks like she will fuck you up.

I see now having the lights too far from the seed make their legs too long. The first node isn’t this too little bean parts where the seed opened up aye? It’s the one above.

I don’t really understand wattage and blue. Just tell me what light and I’ll buy it. It’s a screw in bulb.

I’ll do the wine bottle going forward if it makes you happy :) I only grabbed that random pin for scale coz everyone knows the size of a bowling pin and I was too lazy to go upstairs for a wine bottle lol. Once I finish it I’ll take it to my flower room.
