Trala’s Tent

Ants have been bringing aphids into my grow room, it has been a battle:lot-o-toke:
I spray my grow area with proper surface spray (while the plants are outside of course. Then I put my drip tray in a larger drip tray and fill that with water which gives a moat effect.

I have seen zero ants
on my plants
Like Dr Dre
I rhyme all day
I even rap
When I take a crap
I’m a lyrical poet
And I do know it
I do eat orange
Fuck you non rhyming orange! You ruined my freestyle!

:thumb: I have done this, I have also caught them making multiple ant bridges to span a space or gap. :thedoubletake:
Omg!

Are you serious?!

You have gladiator ants bruv!

It has all the hallmarks of a Marvel movie!

Just inspected. MC has two live nits. I can see this is where I always went wrong. I treated spider mites like they were an acute issue when in fact they are a chronic issue.

Oiii @013, I remember you saying I can’t keep that green clean in a bottle made up? Why is that? And are you sure? I just made up 500mL then grabbed the wrong fucking squirter and squirted them with the soapy one. Fml

Description

Treat Pest Insects, Mites & Fungal Diseases With Green Cleaner!

Green Cleaner is an effective insecticide, miticide and fungicide without the residual impact of conventional pesticides. Green Cleaner can be used as a knockdown spray to control severe pest infestations and can be added to integrated pest management programs. The active ingredients of Soybean Oil (39%) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (19%) along with citric acid and isopropyl alcohol combine to make a potent treatment for russet mites, spider mites, mealybugs, powdery mildew and more!

Benefits of Green Cleaner:
  • No pest resistance with continued use. Great for resistance management programs.
  • 0-hour REI (Re-entry Interval) & 0-day PHI (Pre-Harvest Interval).
  • No need to suit up; spray it on your plants without using gloves or respirators.
  • Multiple modes of action – smothers, kills on contact and cleans.
Soybean oil coats the pest insects or spores to smother and limit respiration and hatch/propagation rates. Isopropyl alcohol and citric acid dehydrate and kill on contact. Both active processes kill eggs, immatures stages and adult bugs limiting the potential for developed insecticide resistance.

You can use Green Cleaner in every growing stage throughout cultivation. Green Cleaner is particularly helpful when controlling active pest populations during flowering and fruiting stages. There will not be contamination when outsourcing plant starts and clones. 2 oz. of Green Cleaner will make up to 4 gallons of spray.

Suggested Uses: For use on horticultural plants. Not for use on food or feed crops. Green Cleaner can be used as an insecticide, fungicide or miticide.

This Product Controls These Pests or Diseases: All soft bodied insects including spider mites (Tetranychidae) and their eggs, aphids (Aphidoidea), whiteflies (Aleyrodidae), broad mites (Polyphagotarsonemus latus) and russet mites (Aculops lysopersici). Also effective against powdery mildew (Erysiphales).

Instructions

Spray Green Cleaner in the grow room while main lights are OFF. Let plants dry well before lights are turned back on.
  • Although you can apply Green Cleaner with any type of sprayer, high pressure sprayers are recommended. Hand-held, back, pump or machine sprayers can be used but atomizers and foggers are preferred, such as Fog Electric Atomizer.
  • Shake REALLY WELL.
  • Add water to container and then add Green Cleaner to water.
  • Shake REALLY WELL again.
  • Keep solution thoroughly agitated during application.
  • Spray enough Green Cleaner to get uniform coverage on the plants.
  • Repeat treatment as needed to achieve and maintain control as foliage area and pest pressure increases.
Application Rate:

Test on 1 or 2 plants before applying Green Cleaner to your entire crop for the first time. Start with lower application rate of ½-1 oz. per gallon.
  1. Initial drench/application – 2 oz. per gallon.
  2. Secondary applications – 1 oz. per gallon. Apply every 1-2 days.
  3. Weekly maintenance - ½ oz. per gallon.
Powdery Mildew Control: Apply at a rate of ½ oz. per gallon for powdery mildew control.

Environment: Green Cleaner is exempt from EPA registration under minimum risk pesticide exempted under FIFRA 25(b).

Storage: Store only in original container in cool, dry place inaccessible to children and pets. Do not reuse empty containers. Offer for recycling if available or discard in trash.

Thanks and bugger.

I made up a batch then didn’t realise I’d sprayed MC with the soap one till it was too late.

I sprayed the other 3 with green clean. I have one application left in the squirty bottle.

If MC have any live nits in the morning I’ll dose her. If not I’ll piff it.

Edit: and @013 I wasn’t being lazy. In all of my research I couldn’t find where it states it has a 24 hour shelf life. Literally just found it then under “technical”.

Given the ingredients I can’t work out why it has a shelf life of just 24 hours.

My teenage girls are enjoying fresh air, sun showers, dancing in the wind and QLD humidity, while my little women are cooped up with faux light, fan sways and 61% humidity.

Growing up sucks.

I'm not even close to catching up but good to see Floramingo is still giving you side eyes

@Carcass i got an idea light wise. I need to get that little ‘un under 18hours but first! Omg I have the best Saving Private Mantis story! Well it’s not the actual best, but it made me feel good.

So I went outside to get some pics of my spiderweb condos coz I noticed the spiders are back now the suns out and I see a praying mantis stuck tight. Now I know I should just leave nature but I hardly ever see praying mantises or is it mantii? like fungus fungi? Anyhoo it’s stuck. So I am literally dodging and weaving spider on spider trying to save this thing! So I finally get her out and she is covered in sticky web. So then I spend the next half hour with tweezers and my lashes bifocals removing Charlotte’s Web! But I saved her!

Pictures of Saving Private Mantis

There was a bit of collateral damage to the web, but no spiders were hurt.

Oii @DeeBoy yet another add on!

Trala Mother of Green Dragons, rescuer of bees, saviour of butterflies, liberator of lizards, rebirther of beetles, detangler of Praying Mantises/Manti

Made me so happy :)

Thanks K. I just didn’t want you to think I hadn’t checked myself.

I don’t have enough veg light. I discussed this with Carcass today and I’ve come up with an idea! I remember (look I think this is how it went). I was flowering and vegging but with one light. And I’m 78% sure my friend in here said the light would be best over the flower. That you can veg under a lamp. So I’ve run with a vague memory I’m only 78% sure of. Lolllllingggg!

I am wanting to buy 2 weeks, hopefully by then the Peyote will be done, then I can put the mimosa in the flower room with her twin and the Tangerine Dream. My flower room can only just accommodate 3.

So I thought I’ll buy a cheap lamp.

First things first, this is EXACTLY why we should always read directions….

Just jokes. I wanted it that way coz I need extra height. The bulb would be too close to Bluebelle:)

Fingers crossed it works. I’ll get a pic on dark. I only need it for 2 weeks. Just to buy me a bit of bud time. She will only use it from 1900 - 2400.

Just bypass it.

It’s just the same shit different day.

Mites, treat, repeat.

I think it will work ok for a temporary measure. Look I don’t know. I’m hoping it will be ok. She is 53cm from the light and the lightbulb is 1000 lumens. Tbh I have no idea what this even means. It was the highest number so I just guessed it would be the strongest.

The bulb really is bright.

You wont need a super strong light to keep a small seedling happy, and running it in daylight mix youll be fine.

Also its only for a couple weeks, it is actually possible to get them all the way into adulthood and flower with just 3 to 4 cheap cfls (household). Whatever is lost in the couple hours a day for a couple weeks wont hurt.

My recommendation though if you were going to do it again sometime is get the blue end spectrum (marked cool) and not super bright so you can cosy right up to within a few centimetres between the leaves and light.

Checked out your swap product recommendation, pretty keen to give it a shot. Looks easy to get and use. Cant hurt to try, well if I can get a seed out of the dirt at least....

Oh and I read your cane beetle story, didnt know if it was insensitive to laugh but the dancing beetles had me laughing

Oh that’s great to hear. I want 2 weeks, 3 weeks tops. Once I get my perpetualling right I’ll be ok light wise. I want to rotate, not rotate like perpetualtate 4. Have them staggered. The grow tent and flower room will work best 2:2.

What is this blue light you speak of? Oh that’s annoying. I deliberately chose the bright one.

1st of her name!!!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day (late I’m assuming for you) Trala. I hope it was a good day for you. My baby girl brought her baby girl over this afternoon with a sweet card and baby handprint in it, along with flowers and chocolates and a bottle of wine. They are my Valentines!

Not sure about that quote but “Get busy living, or get busy dying” is a favorite quote of mine and it’s from The Shawshank Redemption, which is one of my all time favorite movies…along with Tombstone. Have you seen either one of those?

Pretty much everything Sauga says is bang on right. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Good taste in movies!
