Trala’s Tent: Lucky Edition

Hey, @Trala! :ciao:

I'm almost at my saturation point when he comes to how many threads I can follow (and be able to make sense of without going back 3 pages). But I'm adding yours to the list. And I'm going back to the beginning at play catch up (or at least half way back :Rasta:).
You have some fine looking plants. They're all that! :bravo:

BTW, if this was the question you were referring to on my thread. Ha!

I know nothing of growing outdoors except what I've read - but not done - here. I wish I could grow outdoors!

You do plan to finish them strictly outside, right? And how do you move those heavy pots around? And what is your current night time temp. average? (That would be my concern about whether to just leave them out now.)

I'll be talking at you!

Do you think I could safely leave them out?

I think so- there's more than 12 hours of darkness now, and the days are getting shorter- that's all you need to keep them flowering, so I say go for it!
But like GDB said...as long as it's not too cold out there at night (50f or warmer).

Yes it is.

Don’t bother looking back I can sum up my grow style in a few of sentences.

1. OMG I dropped one
2. OMG I literally just kicked one over
3. OMG will they herm?
4. OMG I forgot to bring them in (x 3 days in a row...)

Ok answers.

Do you plan to finish them strictly outside: Yes that was my plan, but not strict. If there is heavy rain, then I can bring them in.

How do you move those heavy pots around: I lift them. I’m strong as fuck. I keep light plastic pots inside the pottery pots for easier lifting.

What is your average night time temp: It’s autumn so prolly 18- 20 degrees centigrade atm. Put it this way, my after work happy hour ran over yesterday and I carried it on once getting home. We were in the pool till 1am. Okay for me, day off. My partner on the other hand had to leave at 0530 for a 12 hour shift. Sucks to be him ;)

Just checked my light. When she decides to work nothing man made compares. Well I don’t think it does.

Not quite 12 Carcster. Like I’m talking a bees dick off. i think it’s 15 mins off 12.

I think I will. I’m going to get an update in a couple of hours. It very seldom gets under 10/50 here.

I totally agree with leaving the plants out full time to finish as long as your temperatures don’t drop to low and you don’t have a heavy monsoon season down there before you chop.
No monsoon season here.

If a monsoon is the same as a cyclone our cyclone/storm season is Summer.

I did a light defol, and nipped the popcorn buds off a couple of days ago, they are recovering well.

While my canopy leveldom definitely needs work, I think for a first try at this style of grow I did ok.

I have a Carla update. Unfortunately it has been terribly overcast/raining here. The girls have had little to no natural sun. I had a choice, stand them under a weak lightbulb or stand them in the daylight rain. I chose to leave them out in the rain. I just felt it was the healthiest choice, but either way it’s definitely going to affect my yield.

They look so happy today. Their arms outstretched and taking in the warm sunshine.

They are unshackled and free and I’m so excited to see how they move. There has been definite stretch. I can clearly see my canopy skills regarding the evenness of my growth needs work, but overall I think I’m happy with how they both look.

Carcass you are so welcome. You really have changed the way I grow and I can’t thank you enough,... well I can but I said can’t for the added drama.

Week 4 of Flower

Girls are travelling along okay. I’m a bit disappointed with the unevenness of my canopy. We have had nice sunny days here and they have been basking in the beautiful warm sun rays.

I still have ongoing cooties. It didn’t seem to effect the grow last time so I’m not gonna get twisted over it. Insects have to live too. The buds are short in length, no foot long coca colas here, but that glitter! It smells like mangoes and happiness.

Canopy - smanopy. Those plants are gorgeous! :Rasta:

I really want that level canopy tho
Once they start stretching, the flat canopy usually becomes a distant memory....
And really- outdoors, a flat canopy isn't nearly as important as indoors- some of the colas being 6 or 8 inches farther from the sun isn't going to matter at all.
They look excellent just the way they are!
