This is my trick too. I hang one from the top of the light holder beams, and in the room where my bud drying is done.

I had to do surgery on 2 of my husband's 5 sprouts! None of mine though. I got it right this time and buried the seed deep enough. Hopefully not too deep -- One of my 5 hasn't come up through the dirt yet.Woo hoo! No helmets! You are moving right along.

Rosa isn't doing so well. Not coming out of the dirt and I see she still has her helmet on. Sigourney, Dolly, Penelope, and Uma seem mostly happy so far. Going to go check my 2 little plants, Bates and Bobbie, in the other room. Grow tent is arriving on Monday. Lights and controller arriving in Saturday. Remo nutrients arriving on Sunday.

Bates is doing the best. Bobbie is kind of lagging behind but seems happy enough. Any comments, pointers, anything is always welcome and I really will listen.Rosa isn't doing so well. Good morning! My 5th of 5 won't open (really badly wrapped around still) and has a solid stem. I know I originally had it buried in the same way as the other 4 that have sprouted. Hm.

You could wait the day out and see if it shakes that off. If not, you've had some practice with helmet removal now, so you could try it carefully. Don't pull up on it, just try to open the sides of the shell without pulling or twisting or poking the cotyledon. I use two pairs of tweezers after giving it a drop of water and letting it soak in a bit on that shell.Good morning! My 5th of 5 won't open (really badly wrapped around still) and has a solid stem. Good morning Lady Cannafan, Cool okay good idea to wait until the end of the work day. And we do have two pairs of tweezers so that will work! I buried it slightly more again because I had uncovered for the photos. Haha hopefully that's not a bad thing to do.
Yeah, if you uncovered it, then it hadn't really had time to completely come out. Wait the day and see what she does.

Day 4 in the dirt. One of my 5 needed helmet surgery. Drama because only half of the seed would come off so I will wait until tomorrow to do more because, will it shed the other half? Attached are two close ups. One before, one after. And then also a photo of all the new 5 plants.

Okay so I am waiting for the tent. Lights/controller and nutients arrived today. I have 4 plants that were planted on May 13 so today is Day 5 in soil for those 4. Also, Bates and Sister Bobbie were planted in soil on April 30 so today is Day 18 for them. BUT... Sister Bobbie looks the same size as the Day 5 plants. And, Bates is smaller than my husband's Day 18 plants. From our first batch of 5 each, we both had only 2 survive. We are having a blast reading 420 Magazine blogs etc. and watching Highigan and Strain Show on YouTube. So much to learn. One cool thing is that Wendy O. (I renamed the 4 seeds after musicians) has an extra bottom leaf -- 3 instead of 2.

Gooood morning! My 6 girls are doing fantastically in Tent #1 while we wait for Tent #2 to arrive on Monday. In fact, I have noticed a huge difference in my two older plants since putting them in Tent #1 yesterday. Sister Bobbie suddenly got a lot taller and shot right out of her two bottom leaves.
