Toucan Do It! Purple Cheesy Og-zie: A Dutch Seed Shop Grow By VG-zie!

Mornin y'all.
A quick update before my cookies kick in and I'm drooling. My neck has been screwed up for about a week now. This means headaches, back spasms and numb finger tips. I haven't been sleeping or eating well because of it.
Need to make some dosing oil. I have a bunch of Blue Shark trim I can run.

Anyway, I started a bit of lst.
The True Og is looking a bit too dark. Gonna back off of her. The other two are still pulling from the big fans but the new growth looks to be a slightly deeper green.

I should be passing out soon...hopefully. I screwed up labeling two pics. Lol.

hope you get better soon.

you really gotta try some better dosing methods. canna pills. just too easy.

everything looks to be responding well in there.

Thanks bluter.
I'm going to try @Amy Gardner 's sublingual dosing oil. I believe she said the 1:1 strains work well in this application.
Warming up the girls is helping. I'm guessing my soil temp was below 64° and that inhibited mag uptake.
Need to green these girls up and flip them.

i use 1 : 1 as well.

the dirty little secret about a lot of canna treatment is the cbd often works better with the presence of thc. the mmj community has been super cautious about that, at least here.

going to try make glycerin tincture. a friend does it and it is amazing. perfect for sublingual, and delicious.
just don't do 6 drops and try run a lighting board .... sound tech said it was one of my best looking shows .. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Oils are fantastic

But I'm a stonch believer in CBD oil and THC oil

Then mix , test, what % fits u best

But that's me

This ^^^

I do the same. Its good to be able to just have one or the other if needed, or change the ratio.

I blend depending on time of day.

I use a 1:1 ratio because it’s the most effective ratio for pain relief :Namaste:

I've been playing with my ratio to

Usually don't do THC oil, but back issues started after 3700mile vacation, go figure

Gunna make some Amnesia Haze oil soon, it's a great sativa strain

My poor Candida baby isn't doing well but have some new CBD strains in the tent to try this grow

I have some G13 Haze that I can run as well but that's about all I have.

I'm attempting to stay awake. The bf is going to drive me to the store. No way I should drive.
I need something Greek to eat and some mandarins, chocolate......

Hi V :ciao: I'm coming off the neck/head /shoulder thing after 4 or 5 days too. It's your turn, let's go! Soon I hope.
So I was perusing Emilyas MC journal just today and she's had some issues she's worked through there. Maybe something there for you in the last page(s). I see great looking plants in your closet. They don't want for much today. :hugs::love::hugs:

Didn't our last neck 'episodes' happen at the same time too???
I wish my neck would crack and could be done with this crap.

I'll take a look at Emilyas journal tonight.

Hiya VG. If you feel the uptake of Mg was related to the cold then stop with the calmag and feed only MC. This way you can keep a higher feed amount of MC so the plant doesn't miss out on the other nutrients.
It will be a few days before I feed again. I'll keep the heat up and see if I'm right about the root zone temps being a major factor. I would normally take a temp reading but my thermometer finally died.

I'd be surprised if it was related to the temp. Mag def typically happens with indoor grows. Very rarely will you see an outdoor grow have mag def and yet the weather can get a lot cooler than your tent temps. I've never heard of the two related but there's a lot I haven't heard as well :)

Root balls stay warmer under ground though. This is a limited amount of soil.
I've read in a few places that mg doesn't get taken up by the plant under a certain temperature.

Here is a snippet.
*Conditions such as, low soil pH, low temperatures, dry soil conditions and high levels of competing elements, such as potassium and calcium, reduce the availability of magnesium. Under such conditions, magnesium deficiency is more likely.

So when I hear something new I have to go digging some info up on it and this is what I got from one site.

Reasons for a deficiency
The magnesium deficiency can occur because uptake is inhibited because of:

  • A very wet, cold and/or acidic root environment.
  • A high quantity of potassium, ammonia and/or calcium (for instance high concentrations of calcium carbonate in drinking water, or clay soils rich in calcium) in comparison with the quantity of magnesium.
  • A limited root system and heavy plant demands.
  • A high EC in the growing medium, which hinders evaporation.

Recovery
Rectify the possible causes: in soil, when the pH is too low (less than 5), use magnesium containing calcium fertilisers. On hydro, temporarily apply a nutrient solution with a higher pH (6.5). When the EC is too high, rinse and/or temporarily feed with drinking water only. When growing indoors, keep the root temperature between 20 - 25 degrees Celsius.

That's 68-77F and I think many of us have been well below that temp.

How about this one:
"As previously mentioned, low temperatures will detrimentally affect the root system and the uptake of nutrients, particularly in the case of magnesium. This micro-nutrient is vital for the proper development of the cannabis plant and if the substrate is colder than 18ºC then this element is most likely not being absorbed by the plant."
