Tom, looking like everything is running smooth! Beautiful girls! JW, which lighting set up do you prefer? The Mars Hydro or HPS?

Thanks chakita, that not a hard question at all for me to answer, i would definitely prefer the mars 1200, i have one ww and one thc bomb under the hps and have been since shortly after they started flowering. The buds on the girls under the mars 1200 are going to be dencer for sure looks like to me and they also seem to be developing faster under the mars, i am very impressed with the mars, it has performed great and after i harvest im purchasing a ps cob to try but i am still going to run my mars. ✌

It will be interesting to see how much the autos under the hps yield vs the autos under the mars, the ones under hps are on 12/12 though with my bb so you can expect them to yield a little less with them being on 12/12 but i will say they have surprised me so far.✌

I was wondering about that when I started my grow! Some people are dead set that HPS is the best lighting to grow with and everything else is garbage, but I read a TON of good reviews on LEDs. It's nice to see them both in action and compare that way.

Yea alot of people have great results from hps so im sure once you get everything dialed in you could harvest some awsome plants with hps, but for me and from what i have seen imo i like the led better, after i harvest im going to do away with the hps and run the ps cob in a 4×4 tent and going to keep my mars in its 4×4 tent, i will probably do a grow with photos in both tents veg-flower and see how the mars compares to the ps cob, should be interesting.✌

Wouldn't the true test be to take two clones at the same time, get them established and then run the full cycle, veg to flower, and then compare results. Growth rate, feed & water schedule, defoliation, and of course yield wet vs. dry.

That's definitely the only true way to end the argument on the lights am on hps but so be switching to led leds cost less to run so there's one upside and the light colours look better too my hps is just yellow/orange I love the blurple shots in tents ...

All but two was 34 days old when i flipped to 12/12, the other two was 22 days old. Im surprised at how big they have gotten since the flip, its amazing, can't wait to try some bb, hopefully everything keeps going smoothly and they finish off nice.✌

I still believe the mars would out perform the hps, especially in flowering and density of buds.✌

Am looking at some vipar leds ATM the hydro I wants gonna cost me £1000 for two but the vipar sat like 150-200 each ..

Cool, the leds are great on power bill, my led, fans, and everything only raised my power $18, when i added my hps it raised about $40 more on top of that and i am going to have to add another ac so that will be another $15, thats a big reason why im going all led/cob next grow.✌

Nice I think there gonna be better than hps tbh it's new technology and new things tend to be better and they been out long enough know to be better than old school hps which has been around for years

One good thing is the only thing on the power bill at my grow house is my grow setup and nothing else so with both lights running, fans, ac, oh and a tv for me to watch lol im only out about $70 a month for everything, so thats not that bad, after i add ps cob it should drop to about $55.✌

That's not bad at all I'd fill the hole house up till the electrics the same as the house your living in more buds and more fun .

Yup they have been growing so nice for me I started another batch of them for the new journal
