Tom Smith's First Indoor Grow With Autos 2017

Look around at some journals on here also, many growers are topping autos with very good results, i will be topping all of my autos for now on. I was going to leave a few untopped and compare but i ended up topping all and glad i did. Thanks for having a look at my journal by the way...

Yeah I've noticed and to be fair think I was clearly misinformed. I like to top or FIM my photoperiod plants and clearly see the benefits but I'm definitely looking to try some autos soon. This new information will change the way I grow those for sure. Good journal so far so it's a pleasure mate .

Yea this is my first time with autos, i done alot of research and got some good advice from a few veteran growers and from what i have seen with my plants and also what i have been told i think as long as your auto is big and healthy enough to top at day 15 or right around there most autos do great with topping, but i am sure they are probably a few strains that don't like being topped, i think the genetics has got alot better with autos over the past few years. I have also done Lst and defoliation on my autos and they have done great with it.✌

Welcome and thanks, im on day 45 today, im thinking i have at least another 45 days to go, so far so good. I hope i yield good off these autos so i can invest in some more equipment lol.✌

Day 45, everything seems to be good, the branches are forming bud better every day, they are stacking good. I didn't get many pics today, i was in a hurry but i got a few of the autos.✌

Thanks Jay, i have learned alot so far, i have had a few outdoor grows which helped me understand alot about growing but i have to say indoors is alot more challenging, it is also alot more exciting to me, i can't wait to get this first indoor grow harvested so i can start another lol.✌

What pros and cons have you found with autos? I know they come up quicker than photos and are shorter (2 big advantages in guerrilla grows) but I've heard they have a lot less thc because of the genetics. The ones I think I've tried here have looked the part but failed to have any kick (I say 'think' due to the high number of shady, schillegal proprietors claiming it's this when it's actually that...Are you lot over there just growing autos properly?

Well from what i have heard the genetics has come along way in the past few years. I have heard alot of people on here talk about how potent their autos are. They are strains with alot of thc, (15-20) my thc bomb is supposed to be 23 i think it was, now that is grown under perfect conditions but that is with any strain even photos have to have great conditions to reach 15-20 percent. My ww is supposed to be up to 19 percent, if im wrong maybe someone will let us know. Thanks for stopping by my journal by the way.✌

As far as pros and cons for me, were i live we have kinda cold nights (in the 50s and 60s) up till late june or july. The ones i put outside didn't like the cooler temps at night. Most phots that i have grown outside is fine with them temps so imo were i live im better off to put photos outside and do autos inside were i can control the environment. Thats jmo, they may be autos that don't pay them temps no mind to them temps, i only tried two strains outside.✌

The pros for indoor would be for me you can get very big yields in a shorter time indoor with autos, one of the veteran growers on here got 2.35lbs dry off just 4 autos, they can yield a whole lot once you get dialed in on everything. Hope this info helps, sorry im not of more help but this is my first time with autos and indoor growing all together.✌
