I was always curious if the silica that comes in packaging is the same as plant grade silica??? Can you use that as a source of silica?

I think some people use them for other purposes with plants I'm not sure don't think they are an effective source of silica for the plant tho

Update

I've went ahead and threw the trellis net on tomorrow will be the last day of veg. So I went ahead and did a defoliation as well, the defoliation has revealed plenty good cloning candidates think im going to take them all a couple weeks into flower again.

I don't think these girls are as bushy as last run but those girls were in veg over 80days since i stunted them probably like 63 days of true vegative growth andd I dont really feel like waiting that long pretty sure i can get the tent pretty full with where the girls are.

Im gonna brew a high concentrated compost tea give them a good shot of veg nutes for the stretch and microbes to hopefully break down most of whatever is left in the medium think I'm switching to synthetic nutes for weeks 3-7 of flower then gonna flush either weeks 7&8 or 8&9

I'll definitely give this a shot for the next run Gonna look into that tomato as well...this grow I'ma switch to synthetic nutes for flower once they done stretching good tip on looking out for most recently package I never think of lil shit like that lmao

Day 1 flower

Let them get 45 full days of veg (minus the NFSHEEESH bagseed 38days) now it's 12/12 time waiting to see that the timer adjust properly should be lights out in a few minutes. The compost tea yesterday seem to have made them pretty happy today.

Less fortunately one of my air pumps got a bunch of water that bubbled out the bucket inside of it..now it sparks and smells like a spent vape.. she's doneso luckily their like $10-15 and I didn't really plan on any more teas since I'm going synthetic for flower so don't need the pump for anything critical

These two are looking good in pretty excited to see what the bagseed is gonna do now that it's flower time curious to see what traits she shows im like 70% sure it's last runs outdoor NFSHEEESH X Ice cold, hopefully one of these two will give some deeper purples in the buds I've seen some pretty ass examples of both strains with deep purples​

And lights out aiming for another 60day flower period 56-65days is the general range for everything in the tent

This little cabinet grow experiment is still going honestly forget when I flipped the light schedule but was sometime last month I'ma say they may be 4-6 weeks in flower probably 5ish weeks left to finish. The little white label RS11 did not enjoy her life in this cabinet. But the white label Black lime kush plant don't look to to bad given how I grew them.​

Gonna try and improve this set-up when these are done but it'll probably be to hold mother plants

They're spreading out nicely, i think youve timed it perfectly. You should only need the 1 net. I cant get the timing right, which is very hard to do. Especially with new strains. Great job and those babes have got some nice bones and structure.

So far this has been organic in recycled soil except maybe the calmag I used like twice
Everything on the bottom shelf has been utilized,
may or may not flush the medium to use that 8-14-9 violet mix around week 3-4

Was thinking the nutrients I added in would start running out around 35 days post transplant that would be about a week from now, looking at the girls that don't really seem to be fading or anything

l if I do switch to synthetic nutes might flush the medium in a few days don't want to over fert.

Im thinking around week 3 or maybe 4 when the buds start to come on it'll be beneficial to up the phosphorus content still learning more about all the NPK shit so maybe it'll make sense to switch maybe won't

No individual updates on the girls just more tucking and plain watering

The cool thing about epsoma products is you can jump around and not worry about lock outs,over feet and feed shock!! You can also make compost teas with this epsoma mycorrhizae starter culture. The transition to flower is very touchy process,let the plant tell you when to switch feeds, always remember less is more and you can always add more but can't ever take out( unless u flush tf outta her) I grow organic for seedling and veg then during flowering transition I begin introducing synthetic nutes to maximize both aspects. Its a mix of methods

I start w ffhf and add all epsoma and amendments into my compost tote and cook it. I do not add tomato tone at any other point except the begining of the compost. The epsoma mycorrhizae is used all thru the grow,in transplants, teas and compost. I use many other amendments too.

This method allows me to re use the soil from my grows after a short re amendment period,I'm at 60 day compost cooks before reuse but I want to push it to 120 days or 4 month re amendment cycles to make sure it's alive and recovered.

Alright, I didn't even know espoma had such a wide range of stuff just got done looking at their website. I'ma try that bio tone for sure maybe the compost starter along side?

Might buy some new soil next grow, so I can recycle this batch the plants are growing in to try the cooking thing the recycled soil I'm using now I just amended and planted.

Got a bunch of these lil cuttings atleast 3 or more from each plant took em a few days ago

Unfortunately some of em already wilting might have been an initial low humidity problem but I'm also thinking I might need to find a way to up the temps this cabinet only heat source is the lights which I'm guessing keep it between 60-70 degrees might try and finds a heat mat somewhere or get it online
