Toast's 2016 Indoor/Outdoor Grow Journal

kelticBlue, thanks for the good words. I went and checked out your Journal, sweet, you got some real pretty plants going. Sorry punks raped your car, that really sucks. Ain't it a bitch, when you go out of your way to save toward better grow stuff ( lighting ) and something, there was no way to plan for, ( punks ) ruin your Master Plan. Its one thing to screw your self up, and totally different thing when someone else does it for you. You will probably fall in to some unexpected funds shortly, that's usually how it works for me. But then I lead a Charmed Life. LOL Hang in there buddy every thing has a way of working out. TAYL TOAST

I lead one of those charmed lives too TOAST. :laughtwo: I knew there was something else that drew me to you.

Here is two pictures of each plant in Planter #2 they are both supposedly SSH:

look how the tops have curly leaves and a shit load of Calyxes. I have had plants do this before, but only one branch. This is happening to both whole plants. WTF is going on. TOAST

Is this a desirable thing or no?

Hey Thanks. That is really nice of ya.
Merrily we roll along. I feel good i really do. I did find a really great body shop. (I did auto body for 4 years back in the 80s.) They did better than anything I could have hoped for. So yeah I feel all 'even steven.'

Do I see single leaves in the SSH picture? I dont have my glasses here, so could be me. not sure what they are called, Like re-veg leaves.

Cheers!

It looks like they went through a total re-vegetation event, the calyxes that were once localized have now been elongated, the single bladed leaves also suggests revegetation. This isn't ideal, but they should grow out of it just fine. Probably gonna have to trim up some of those lowest-canopy spindly branches too at some point, to more promote growth at the upper canopy where its going to matter more. The planter is looking really good and filled out. :cheertwo:

Rado, your comment reminded me of what Lem did 2 years ago in 2014

NOW WATCH WHAT HAPPENDS. I swear Lester that planter was out of control. It had to be done. So please dont Hate me. LOL TOAST

 And no I don't think anything needs to be done to the top canopy right now. It'll sort itself out :thumb:

While we're digging through the past, might as well bump this post from 2 years ago

Is there a 420 contest for 'BEST. PHOTOGRAPH. EVER.'?

Because if there is, I think, Ladies and Gentlemen, that we have a WINNER.

 to you, Lem. Be well. And :thanks:

Great pic of brother Lem in action, tending the fields... :surf:

Okay now back to the future ;) :cheertwo:

Radogast, why would a plant that's coming out of Flowering and into Reveg cause it to make seeds if it doesn't get pollinated?

Well if you don't know, then I sure don't know what I'm talking about.

It might be that my ideas are influenced by the fact that on this, my final harvest in Massachusetts, every single girl delivered about as much weight in seeds as in buds (not much of either.) I had 2 young males but I caught them in time - I'm sure I did.

-- - and yeah, I knew those pictures just from the description :)

Stray pollen is not so rare. In Spain they can see gigantic clouds of it flowing airborne from Morocco in September

So my normal routine is to put the inside plants out at 9:00am and put them back in at 7:30pm. I put them out as normal and went in my house and went back to sleep. When I woke up at 2:00pm I went to the kitchen to get something to drink and when I look out the window, every thing as far as I could see, is straight up and down and most of the fan leaves are curling.

Its 114 degrees and rising. I now have them all drenched and with the exception of the one in the last picture they all look like they will be OK THANK GOODNESS. Radogast, its very common here in Calif. for Newbe Growers that don't know the difference between males and females to let the males do there thing and with a good gust of wind pollinate every female plant with in a 5 mile radius. There are 5 other people besides the 4 people growing my strains real close by, this year that I have to worry about. It only takes one fool that doesn't know what he's doing to screw everybody. Well I better go water them again. TOAST

In regaurds to Conradino's comment - FYI Miami doesn't have SMOG, what they do have is SAHARA DUST. Once a year Miami and surrounding areas look like their all SMOGED UP but its really Dust that blows all the way across the ocean from the SAHARA DESERT. Now I found that to be pretty TRIPPY. LOL TOAST

Mother of a wood duck, No Sheet. freaky.
I probably saw that when I lived up near cocoa beach. that is freaky guano.

cheers!
