TheRoach's First - Soil - Aurora Indica - Organic Grow - 600W

Thxs my friend. I did consider that but was unsure on how to proceed as these buds are mostly foxtails with no main tip. What do you think?

I hear you. I was having the same thoughts looking at yours. Mine have that foxtail tendency but not as extreme- there is a definite bud with a tip to snip off. Still, I think if you cut the tips off those foxtails in one area, it would give you a good test area to see what happens. They may grow inwards and become a denser mass. I usually snip mine more than once if they want to grow too many foxtails. Have you grown out this sativa before & is it always this leafy?
It's has a sort of re-vegging appearance, but I think some sativas are like that, judging by some pictures I've seen.

I was thinking something blue or purple, maybe deep red.
Panama red sounds cool!
I plan on winning every one of the 420 contests at least once.
It will be hard, but I'm in no hurry.
Time is on my side, I guess.

I like it. Not a bad idea. It's a positive process all around and helps you and others become better growers along the way. And it means you'll stick around for a while :thumb: Members come and go like crazy around here. It's hard to know when someone is just going to disappear. The more long term members the better I think.

I had the same impression about the re-vegging look. I had to bend the branches to control the height of the plant, so the buds kind of grew sideways. The tent is light proof and I never turn the lights on outside during their dark period. This is one of the free seed I got with my Aurora Indica seeds. Now that I think about it, I read other people complaining about freebies not fattening up and taking forever to finish blooming. Maybe its too hot in there or there is a light leak. Temps are 82.8 F or 28.7 c
I will try the backbuilding technique in a bud or two.

Thank you, I agree with you. I saw you did well in the member of the month contest. You should start a journal.

Ha ha. I'm working on it. Finally got some hps sunglasses which I can use as a camera filter and get away from that washed out yellow effect. Now I'm thinking on what sort of journal I want and have time for.
My sativas 'seem to be' heading towards the finish line ok this time. But I've seen them do that before and then they got stuck near the end. Any sign of them doing that and I'm going to knock the light hours back by 15 minute increments and see if that helps. I don't know if it would apply to your situation, especially with other plants in the flowering room ( I have too but I'm hoping 15-30 minutes less light will be ok all around).

My plan b is turning it into butter or cannabis extract if it doesn't come out that great. It will still be a good amount of cannabis.
Maintaining a journal is feels like a lot of work, but it is very interesting. You could update once a week if you don't feel like taking pictures of your plants every day. I really liked the method you use for cloning. I think many will find it useful.

Those plants are starting to look real greasy...in a good way of course! :)
Thank you ClosedCircuit, they are developing more trichomes this time. I am using the base mix without the amendments, next run will use amended soil.
Most of my freebies have been shit. Out of three packs I got one good one. All the strains I have ordered have been badass tho.

Thank you Dusty. I kind of expected this would happen. I am thinking now that I should turn all that bud into Honey oil - shatter.

Today I spoke with the guys at the local quarry and they agreed to sell me a cubit meter of basalt rock dust for $25. My guess is that I will need 20 sacks at 50 l each one.
I will add the rockdust to the cooking soil as soon as I get it.
Sourcing the ingredients of the mix has been a very interesting quest.
Thank you for watching :420:

I would seriously consider building soil amendment kits and selling them if you are buying material in those amounts. Ive been thinking about doing the same when I get out to Colorado. We had a member on here CoOrganics who started his own business doing the same thing.

Haha yes I knew it looked weird. Sorry, yes any competition. In my native language the same word is used for both competence and competition. Thank you for the correction :thumb:

Ha no worries. You write English quite fluently, where as I type typo after typo. I'm just used to catching little things like that. English is my mother's and my girlfriends second language.

hiya TR, i was just thinking about soil today when my clone reached day 10. It seems that she will be the one that survives and I am debating on the benefits and simplicity of dirt. Thanks for convincing me to ponder coming over to the dark side of soil, I would like to try my hand at organic growing.
