Thanks for stopping by. Things got off to a bit of a bumpy start but things are cruising now!

That's awesome. Pretty hardcore out here in AK at times! If the moose don't get ya the bears will haha.

I'm glad things are smoothing out for you.
We also had to pull wolf guard at the local schools in the dead of winter.
I'd spend hours watching the sky explode with colors. The rare silver and blue starburst would blow me away.

Hope you get to feeling better soon, that flu shit sucks!! Wait til you get to see the REDS pop out in the lights man, it’s the best, rare to say the least but oh so awesome to watch. Once we got to see the sky turn deep red everywhere, wicked to see. In my Mrs. culture though it’s believed that when the sky turns Red it means that someone has taken their own life.

Your doing it right brother, watching the lights and having a bowl an enjoying the show that Mother Nature puts on.....not much better than that.

Do you mind me asking what kind of work you're in? I was talking to someone about Alaska recently and how I've always wanted to move to or at the very least have an extended visit there. The question of moving to those ideal locations always leads to the question of what work there is.

I'm in construction management, which is fruitful enough in and around major metropolitan areas, but not so much in rural "look at those northern lights" areas (or tell me I'm wrong).

Your girls are looking good in that tub. I see a little claw forming on one, but from what i see in my ladies, a few claws aren't so bad. But they probably are worth keeping an eye on for that high nitrogen. Not seeing any nute burn on the tips is probably a good sign though.

I currently don't work. Well I mean I'm a stay at home dad. So I certianly have my hands full. I would be working if the majority of my pay wasn't negated by childcare costs. I'm aiming to get back to school this spring at the local university for construction management. They have a good program up here and I was working residential and commercial windows, doors and glass enclosures up until a year ago when we decided it wasn't worth having a stranger raise our child for me to bring home only 4 dollar a an hour.

There is housing boom near me currently because a nearby military instalment is adding f35 fighter jets. It really depends on the year and the projects going on to be honest. That being said, there is a ton of commercial work on the bases, to prepare for the incoming planes as well.

I assume there is a bit more being done down in anchorage, construction wise. But between marinas in the bay, Oil pipelines and everything else if you played your cards right I'm sure there's good money to be made.


And thanks. It does almost look like clawing. I know I fed too high of ppm and flushed the next day when I noticed it. Maybe that's why I can't find any nute burn along with it.... . She has perked up a lot since I just fed her earlier. Well keep an eye on her . I'd love to get her moved into her 3 gallon this weekend I'm convinced her roots are filling out quickly.

Thank you very much for your kind words. If it weren't for your meds I can only imagine how much worse the nausea would be ☹. Thankfully the wife was able to stay home and help me out since our little girl has it too.

The lights are just too cool. I've heard that making babies under the lights is good luck in some cultures too. I guess it's a good way to keep warm at the very least. Hope your day was a good one! I keep waking up to expect snow. Not yet! Have a good one D. I'll catch ya tomorrow I'm gonna grab some much needed sleep!

Hey, who knows, maybe you'll have a new 420 neighbor someday.

We made the same decision with my wife, she stays home with the kid while i work. Parenting is harder than any paying job I've had. When he was a baby she had the better job so i was home. It just doesn't make sense to pay a stranger to do what we would do for such a small income after.

That make sense with the flush (as far as i can figure). I haven't gotten a PPM meter yet. It's on my list for my next grow. As well as an electronic pH pen tester. Using drops is exhausting, especially when trying to push UP because it seems to require a lot more to do so. The first time i pushed UP it took me something like 10 tests because i was worried to add too many drops. Pushing DOWN goes quick with only a couple drops. Maybe PPM testing will help me keep those nutes in check. I've had little burns here and there.

Anyways, keep it up.
 
Yeah I totally rely on the ppm. Don't tell anyone but I don't Ph... I mean I'm paying big bucks for AN Ph perfect, so I don't feel it necessary. Although if I add a hydro bucket in a couple weeks I may have to change that....


I popped in to spend a minute with the girls and they seem happy. Re tied Abbie down and rotated Gloria. Hopefully I can get Abbie up potted today . Should have an update in a little.

Heya Dabber how ya feeling? Hope your doing better and the “crud” stays away. Got a bit chilly this morning, all the puddles in our driveway from the rain yesterday are ice so not much longer and we will be full blown winter.......uuggh! Lol, when I was younger I didn’t care and just did what ever and didn’t really care about the snow and cold. Now, the snow is just another chore to take care of, my feeling is, I didn’t put that shit on my sidewalk or driveway so I shouldn’t have to deal with it :rofl: Time for a night cap and some relaxing time for us, gonna be a busy weekend so gotta rest now to make up for it :-)

I'm doing better AB thanks for asking! The baby and wife aren't feeling so well though. Yeah it was crazy. There was frost everywhere in our yard this morning. I would like to give ice fishing a go this winter. I'm not sure how I'd do fully exposed to the elements haha. Get some rest bud! Tomorrow is finally Friday . I know you work hard, gotta have a chance for some fun I there too right

Her canopy looks nice and flat thus far. I am still debating training techniques. I popped over to 420 and they say the strawberry kush has a very quick flower time and should only get to 3 foot. But then said it performs best in a scrog because branches get long. Very helpful NOT!

Quick stop..hope your all feeling better.
Kush generally are a 50/50 take well to evasive LST techniques.
Simple tech like ponytail, bend to expose lower growth work best.
Also 1st set (lowest branches) are a 50/50 producers or nonproducers.

Any rest and kick this thing before the real cold sets in.
 
Great feed back guys! I will likely strip the 1st node today because it's just wasting energy on growing larf (lower airy rabbit fluff?) I was hoping to turn the second node into producers as well but we already have 7 clear growth centers from the one top. I suppose I could take a shot at a couple clones....

Furci thank you, I am feeling so much better today! I guess it was one of those 48 hour stomach bugs :/
 
Don't strip the nodes, cull the flowers when they form. Leave any fans to help the plant produce sugars for your buds. Only take fans that you absolutely can't tuck if they're blocking the light (indoor grows only obv - the sun moves across the sky). Especially if you will be taking clones (and the leaves the leave with them).
