Themaddabber's Hempy Bucket Bathtub Grow 2017

Them, if you're in gallon jars you might need more than 1 Boveda per jar based on their size/jar ratio. Check their website to see.

They also sell different sized packs as well for different sized jars. I personally add a couple packs in regular Ole Mason jars one on the bottom one towards the top I'd definitely I'd more than one in a gallon container if they are the standard sized packets.

Looks to me like someone poisoned it. A neighbor maybe? Dumped some bleach on it and kicked it? .

I got no freaking idea... I wish I knew... and i cant believe after just a branch braking that this will happen... and Yeah it could be the neighbors... but it's all my Girlfriends family that lives around... Yeah weed is seen here like a hard drug but i don't see why they would do that...

Hope ya don't mind me looking in..... I try to get out every once in awhile..

Hope ya don't mind iffin I throw my 2 cents in. I just look at pics mainly,, but every once in awhile something writen jumps out at me. I never learnd to read...

I see ya talking them vacuum sealameals. I was going to send some to a homeboy once,, nice prime 'FRESH' buddage. Threw it in a tester vacuum bag. Suck turned into a solid ass brick. Needed a hammer to bust the SOB up. Worthless after that.

Congrats on the harvest. If you have alot to jar,, remember air space is your enemy. Get it dried and keep it closed in a cool dark place and it lasts for along time. Some get better with age like a wine. Not that I like wine,, but. And if you have something that needs alittle moisture,,, besides the packs,, I buy the small ones off eba*. Like 10 of them smallest ones. But you can tape a small piece of apple or pear to the lid. Just a small''''' pice and screw the lid on for acouple days. It helps... I seen people using orange peal but that leaves a nasty taste.

It's 1 per 6 or 7 gs. It says on the packet. So I will check.
What do you think about the big seal-a-meal bag to monitor RH more effectively? I feel like it could be a winning option, just a pain to burp and re seal burp and re seal...
I have one more half gallon but the outdoor thermometer/ hydrogmeter takes up a lot of space .. Luckily no other nugs are ready for jars today.

Personally, I think that the burping process is part of the drying process. Refresh the air in the jar and clear the air of the chlorophyll etc. that is degrading and outgassing. That hay/grass smell needs to be aired out of the jar. Once they're ready for the cure they just go with a (two?) B62 in a cool dark location like Norcali mentioned and you never touch them again until it's time to get a nug into your system!

Website recommends :
4 gram pack = 1/2 oz
8 gram pack. = 1 oz
67 gram pack = 1 lb
320 gram pack = 5 lb

Wanted to post the screen shot but they're still fixing things with pics

Maybe a pet pissed on it.

I personally keep my jars 25-35% full during cure and once I'm satisfied and am finished burping I fill the jars entirely up with bud. Definitely love curing for as long as possible myself as after a month+ I notice very good changes in taste flavor and how compact it is. Hell some people store the cured bud for a year+ before smoking it.

Hey woody thanks for driving by!

If I used the vacuum seal bags I wouldn't actually vacuum out the air. Just seal off the end. So it's like a 3 foot long jar almost. Idk if that makes any sense? I too made the mistake of driving some weight back from Cali once and sucked the air out and it took the buds a full day to spring back into shape. But if it vacuumed any more it probably would have turned into a cinder block :laughtwo:

Everyone's 2 pennies are accepted here! Especially when they grow plants like you do :high-five:

I think it personally depends how you do it. I've seen ganja that litterially needed a strong knife and a hammer to cut up and then start breaking up by hand. But I've also seen some that broke apart rather easily and fluffy right back up overnight.

They make differnt models. The cheap one we used sucked all the air out or none at all. But the one I have now let's me pull as much or as little air out as I want.

The key with the cheapo version is to put the flap into the runoff area and suck out a little more air than you want and quickly slide it out and seal. Not ideal at all but it kinda works lol

Not once you close them up. Then the atmosphere in the jar heads for homeostasis. That's why it goes back up (if it's dry in your room) after you seal it if there is still moisture in the center of the bud.

I did not know that curing buds was this complicated :jawdropper:... What people say online looks way more easy than this... But I'm glad that I'm learning at the same time and wen my turn comes for curing I will know a bit more

Gotta say you are an outlier Led!

I just do it the first week and a half maybe two weeks and I burp twice daily until the buds are back to slightly crispy on the outside and close them back up and repeat until they stay a consistent texture that's around when humidity stays at 65% for me that's how I like it at least and have had no complaints. I like to keep it towards the half way mark less for regular sized Mason jars because I like to be able to shake the buds around and get air moving between them because they'll start to clump towards the bottom but a shake fixes that. I don't really like taking the buds out of the jar all that often I just give them a shake and I've never gotten mold or anything on them and once I quit burping I fill the jars up and just check on them every couple of days. Then I also have smaller jars I use and I'll fill them up to around 75%. They are also what Ill just stash a quarter in and smoke while the regular sized jars keep aging.

That's just all me personally but also it really depends how dry the bud is when I finish drying. sometimes I do dry enough that I can go straight to jarring fully more or less but I usually jar it wetter versus drier and just cure for as long as needed. It's just how I like it I'm not a fan of letting my bud get drier versus wetter for my personal consumption.
