TheBlaze's Sour Chiesel - Blue Cheese & Black Rhino In Coco

Seems I can't edit the post. Strange

If I may ask, why does the garlic strain/pheno interest you?

Try Sannies New Blue Diesel. Although in flowering I didn't get much of that chem/fuel smell. I did get the most wonderful grenadilla (passion fruit) smell with a hint of fuel. It's a great strain to grow though, and it is a powerful smoke.

No clones unfortunately, but I am thinking of re-vegging her. Problem is, she is an absolute bitch to grow. Extremely sensitive and looks to be very low yielding as well. I have limited space to grow in, so it is a tough decision. Do I keep her alive, or do I use the space for another plant that performs better?

If she's one oof those total bitch to grow and u get stuff all off her I'd can her , I love my plants but there's nothing worse than a picky girl that you do everything for , even more than you do for the other plants and she just keeps being a c#nt and then after it all she gives you bugger all back , and all that time wasted pandering to her fussy needs , I for one don't like to keep a strain that takes too much time away from all the others , they need yo share my time equally or turn into butter! Only exception for me is if they are top smoke then maybe she can stick around and be a fussy bitch!

I've had dicey luck with re-vegges. Tried a flowering clone before? You gotta keep 'em in the clone chamber as they shift gears, but if you can keep it alive during the switch, it works.

I've never cloned at all. Always only had 1 grow area to work with. Didn't realise (until you told me a few pages back) that you could clone from flower. If I did try that, I would have to take a clone right at the end of flowering before the chop. Otherwise the clone/s will be going into 12/12 lighting.

Yeah, this is exactly my thinking as well.

There are plenty of great strains out there, that will give you aroma, taste, yield and power. You just have to find them.

Then again, there are those legendary strains/phenos that pop up once in a while and if marketed well, go on to become legend. A good example is Chemdawg. If the story is to be believed, it is just bagseed. I have a sneaking suspicion that Raggedy Anne could just be one of those freaks of nature. Even so, I don't buy into all the hype. I have no doubt that the original Chemdawg is/was something special, but like I said, there are plenty of strains out there that are special and alot of them won't be nearly as fussy either. The Exodus Kush I grew out a while back was absolutely phenomenal. I've never experienced a high like that from MJ. After smoking that strain, I can see why some people believe it is common practice for dealers to "spike" their weed.

You can do it anytime you want i do believe. Tho near end or first 3 weeks is advised to not disrupt her precious flower production time.

I have cloned from flower, and was at the start. About 7days in. Plant Vs 2x4, she lost.. I took the head. About a week later in my lil veg area, the clone started showing hairs. I freaked at first, "wtf did i do? My lights turning off somehow?" then realized..duh!

This is the clone, took about 40day to get new growth, which was about a week ago. Just topped it today after taking the pic yesterday.

Awesome DankWolf. Thanks for the info and the pic. She looks like she is doing well. 40 days??

Dang Doc Green,
Tell us who this woman... I mean plant was that treated you so badly. :)

I just thought of something while riding to work this morning. Who pays $500 for some unknown swag and then pops some bagseed from it and creates a legend? What a crock of sh!t.

I'm actually reading quite a decent article now on another forum which features chemdog and a few other well known breeders. It's an interesting read. It's hard to know what is fiction and what is fact though.

A few things that stood out for me:

- $500 is a fair chunk of change now. In 1991, it would have been a small fortune.
- An 18 year old following a band on tour just happens to have that kind of money on him.
- Then gives it away to some random guy selling some unknown weed?
- Then buys another ounce for a further $500 and finds 13 seeds.
- Pops 4 beans and creates arguably the greatest strain of all time.

It is not impossible, just improbable.

I wonder if he is lurking on some of these forums. Would be great to chat to him.

Don't want to link to that article as I don't think it is allowed.

That article makes about the most sense.

I was given quite a lot of seeds by a grower a while back. She had hundreds of plants. Some good genetics. Some of the plants hermied, busted a nut and then pollinated the whole room. I gave those seeds away like an idiot. I should have held on to them until I had the space and time to experiment a little with them. Guaranteed I would have found some interesting new strains in there. Oh well...

Yeah we agree on that. It's best to just find a few breeders you are happy with, and stick to their offerings instead of trying to find some elusive unicorn.
