Yeah, things got a little crazy in here. LOL! There is one branch that I forgot to remove on the chiesel, think I will take it as a sample in about 2 weeks. It won't be ready but it might give me an idea of what to expect. I can't wait to smoke these bad girls. I'm sure you can't wait either with those tasty buds you're growing out.

6 weeks of 12/12

Getting closer. Buds are swelling nicely on the 2 big buddha girls. Had to support Blue because she is about to topple over. Raggedy Anne is not doing much other than surviving. She is going to yield almost nothing.

Thanks OGMan. I'm very impressed with both those BB girls. I always knew that Blue would pack them on, but Cybil is really impressing me. I would definitely buy from Big Buddha again. I see he gets mixed reviews, but I'm very happy.

My new seeds arrived a few weeks back.

Will be starting the new grow the second this one is done. Not going to waste any time at all. Will be going 6 plants this time.

2 x White Rhino (nirvana)
2 x Exodus Kush (DNA Genetics )
1 x Superb OG (Heavyweight seeds - freebie)
1 x G13 Super Skunk (G13 Labs - freebie)
 
Awesome selection bro :) that exodus kush should be killer! exodus cheese is super strong, cerebral, mind bender with a little heart race :) crossed with the kush I don't think your be moving much :) I think I'll be adding this to my list :) :passitleft:
 
I couldn't agree with you more. I've grown out exodus kush before, and it is by far the best stuff I've ever smoked. Extremely euphoric and happy, and then hits you with a sledgehammer.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Doc, I'm just as excited as you are but more so for the Exodus Kush, and the Superb OG. Although I suppose it's silly to pick out favourites before even germing the seeds. LOL

Tead, I don't think I've ever grown out Nirvana's gear but I've seen enough successful grows to know that they are legit. Also, white rhino is one of my favourites.

I took a whiff of Raggedy Anne last night while feeding her, and almost gagged. It has a horrible garlic savoury type smell now. Add that to the lemon menthol chem funk and it becomes a truly nauseating smell. Really oily smell that hits you in the back of the throat.

LOL! There is nothing lovey about that smell. I just hope that smell settles down a little when curing. I imagine it would. Logic tells me anything that smells that rank has to be some strong shit. What do you think?

I'm going to do some reading up about this garlic smell and see if others have had this with their plants.

Otherwise, all is good in my world. How are things there in Santa Land?
 
Hey man I like the sound of that garlic smell too :) there is a strain called Garlic bud it was by The seed bank which then turned into the sensi seed bank :) garlic bud is an old school Afghani used is crosses like shiva shanti :) I wonder is it was used in black Afghan?? The smells these girls put out never stop surprising me :) :passitleft:
 
I quite like that jet fuel smell. New Blue Diesel when curing for the first week, would actually burn your nose the smell was so astringent. Obviously, the longer it cures the more that hardcore fuel/chem smell settles down. However, savoury and bud just seems wrong. Like chicken on pizza. LOL

From the little reading I've done now, it seems Chemdawg has a garlic/onion pheno which is supposed to be very rare and very prized. I've maintained for a while now that Raggedy Anne seems to be leaning heavily towards the OG Kush side of her genetics. Alot of growers agree that OG Kush is just a pheno or direct descendant of Chemdawg. F#cken interesting stuff man. I could read about this all day long. This hobby really is amazing.

Really? Will need to go read up on that now as well. LOL! Thanks for the heads up bud! Although, according to the breeder, Black Rhino is White Rhino x OG Kush but who the hell really knows what's in there but the breeder. I don't always believe what they advertise about their strains. It could just as easily be straight Afghan that is advertised as something else to make it more sexy.

Still, the description of the garlic/onion pheno of chemdawg seems to be spot on. I would imagine there aren't very many strains that express themselves with such a unique smell.
 
Oh sorry there are so many different black rhinos and I was using the info from your front page Black Afghan x white rhino?? The garlic bud strain is something that has interested for a while :) :passitleft:
 
Yeah, sorry about that. As you say, there are a few black rhino strains. I made the mistake of reading up on a version from a different breeder. I should probably go and edit that info quick.
