Thanks guys! Your comments give me a funny feeling in my stomach. :Namaste:

UPDATE

5 weeks of 12/12. Roughly half way through flowering. :cheertwo:

Did a decent defol on all 3 girls last night. This will be the last time I defol them. Will leave them now to get on with the business of building buds. I couldn't believe how many leaves I had to remove. It was back breaking work.

I know I carry on about this, but that black rhino is beginning to seriously impress me. Such an ugly duckling but it is so covered in trichs that the fan leaves I removed actually felt soggy. My fingers were sticky from the very first leaf I removed. The smell is an overpowering lemon menthol smell. I'm pretty sure it is going to be some seriously strong head stash. If this is what OG kush is like, then I will be trying a few breeders versions of that strain.

I think I will need to stake the blue cheese this weekend to support her. She is starting to lean over.

Initially I thought the blue cheese was going to yield far more buds than the sour chiesel. I'm not so sure anymore, because that sour chiesel is putting packing on the size quite quickly.

Anyway, on to the photos:

Good work mate , all looking awesome live the huge cola and wow at the trichs in only week 5 on the black rhino , if u don't mind me asking what breeder is it from and which seedbank did you get it at because I want to get some seeds , for my breeding program , I'd love to add the black rhino into my strain collection and I'd love to cross her with Malawi gold

Thanks Doc!

Just to put things into perspective, the Black Rhino was flipped when she was still immature. It took 10 days for her to show her first pistils so she is a week behind the others. She is supposed to be a fast flowering strain though.

This particular BR was bred by seedsman. I'm no expert on breeding, but the genetics seem a little unstable. So there are probably quite a few phenos. From what I've read of OG Kush, this pheno seems to be leaning in that direction. Maybe it might be better to try an OG Kush instead? I don't know. I bought it from greensmoke room in SA. They have a site. Check it out. I can't find the strain on seedsman's site, which is a little strange. Meant to be white rhino x og kush.

Thanks Tead! Will head over to Bonza now and check it out.

What does your OGK smell like? Similar to what I described of the Black Rhino? Is she is also a frosty girl?

Looking awesome mate your going to have some hefty colas there sir :) great work brother :) Dinafem are great company too I've run alot of their stuff I and I'm never disappointed :passitleft:

Thanks OGman. I've never bought from Dinafem, so I will go and add some strains to my wishlist now. Any strains you can recommend? I'm favouring hybrids (close to 50/50) lately.

Thanks Tead! Will head over to Bonza now and check it out.

She has a strong odor that develops about 1/2 way thru flower. One of my babies just kicked into smelly mode... I can't resist snorting her up whenever I see her.
She's kind of fruity smelling... citrus overtones. Very nice.
Yes... very frosty buds and sugar leaves with some sugar spilling over to some of the fan leaves on occasion.

She definitely sounds like a winner Tead.

I wish I could clone this black rhino. I have a feeling it is one of those phenos that only comes round once in a blue moon. Oh well..

Why no cloning? It's not an auto.... right? Did I miss something?

I only have 1 tent and currently under 12/12 lighting. I've never cloned anything though. Can you put a clone straight into 12/12? Also, can you take clones from a flowering plant, or is it best to do it in veg?

ReVeg the Rhino. Doo eet!!
Then breed her for that special pheno seed.? Then email me a seed so i can 3D print that bitch n plant it:laugh:

I think im sad about OGK. Waiting for mine to pop, still.

Ah... I didn't think of revegging. Awesome idea. Thanks mate!

Can one take a flowering clone? Yes.
Is it a hassle? Yes, a bit.
Can you do it in 12/12 light? No.

One can take flowering clones. They kinda suck because you have to keep them alive while they switch back to veg (1-2 weeks), then they pop out some roots.
Re-veg seems like a better option. Re-vegging makes for some odd growth as the plant switches back to veg. You'll have to leave about 1/3 of the plant un-harvested.
If you do re-veg, take more clones from her after she's established back into veg and you can have many new plants from her.

Thanks for the info Tead. Will definitely try the reveg. That tent is going to be crowded in my next grow.

I've been growing the OGK strain from Dinafem for several years now using clones from the original seed.
Other strains have not lasted as long in my garden. The strain is easy, stable, and strong. I would recommend it to anyone.
If you're on the hunt for an OGK, I would highly suggest the OGK from Dinafem.

Good to know Tead.

By the way Blaze I think Dinafems flagship strain is Moby Dick...:grinjoint:
