TheBlaze's LED & HPS Grow - Coco & Perlite

Thanks Dusty. Can't wait to open the tent tonight and see if they've grown some more.

I topped the 2 lemons. Then topped for a second time on one BV and LC-OG. These were the tallest and I want to let the others catch up in height. I have just one concern. On the one Lemon, I accidentally cut the top off one of the new growth nodes. I know you're not supposed to do that, but how bad is it? What will happen? It was just the tip.

Thanks Feral. I hope you're right. I hate it when I make stupid mistakes.

Don't we all. 1.25 TSP gal, ha no glasses, 0 25 TSP gal. I've been there.

Cheers

LOL! Yeah, we all make them, it's just annoying though. It was just pure carelessness on my part.

Eye has new Ceramic HPS lamp coming out soon. I'll be using it on next grow. I'm breaking out the cooltube and going for it this summer.

I have 5 Gorilla glue regular beans and 6 Auto AK , but I'll get some others. I'm getting a bigger place 1st of month. I have a few weeks to get ready. I might just start with clone's. I could get a good pull in 80 days from clone's.

Cheers

You still a fan of autos?
Not sure, Auto AK got 102 g dry, decent smoke, not quite as strong as any of my photos. Narco Purple did not produce much and taste is not desired. Good smoke it's just not for me. And 45 g dry a plant is a joke. 138 g off three plants is not worth it to me. I've seen good looking autos at RTK'S grow but I'm on the fence. I might try a few more after I get going.

Cheers

Looking mighty fine blaze! Unbelievable really. Just got back in town and I got to chop some beauties. I love the low canopy. That's when I get my biggest yields. :)

Thanks Doc! I've never had plants stay so low and bushy. Might be the cold or the early topping or likely a combination of the 2. I saw your beautiful buds. I'm jealous!

This is a great boost psychologically.. I quite often make myself not look for 2 or sometimes 3 full light-cycles (just after watering, of course) just so I can see a big difference between waterings. It's agony, as I'm massively impatient. But checking them every 12 hours is worse sometimes; seeing not much growth is frustrating!
But it's SOOOOO satisfying to see that definite extra growth, or buds that have doubled in size.....

You have more patience than I do bud. Although in coco, you can't really ignore them for more than about 36 hours.

I have it on good authority, that 'just the tip' doesn't count, so you're all clear. :)

Looks like a nice spec on that EYE. Using Ushio now, but might give that a swing a too, thanks millertm :Namaste:

I've tried that line a few times in my younger days. Didn't always work... sometimes it worked just fine.

Ushio are great, I had the opti red. Moved to Eye based on grow store guys, works great but costly. This new Ceramic HPS looks great but I'll have to wait till Aug to get one. I called Eye and their not released till end of July.

UPDATE

Day 37 and 30 for the lemons.

Ok, so the LC-OG are now the stars of the show again. To be fair, I think they were the stars of the show all along. I was impressed with the growth spurt the Lemons put on about a week ago, but they've have slowed right down. The LC-OG's have powered on pretty much right from the start. I like the look of them as well. Looks like some nice sativa in the mix there.

So as you guys know, I duffed up the topping of the one Lemon OG Kush. That plant has completely stalled for the last 2 days. The other lemon seems fine and has bushed out a bit. I decided to rectify my error, by topping it again this morning one node down. Looks much better now. I will show you what I mean in the pics below.

I will hang the one LED light this weekend and then space the plants out further apart. They are starting to encroach on each others space.

Can you spot the 2 vigorous LC-OG's?

These are the 2 plants I topped twice. Plenty of new tops coming through on these 2.

BEFORE: Note the left growth node. See the hack job?
