TheBlaze: Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1

Are you hyping some new strains Blaze? You already have me wanting to order Purple Envy and Exodus Kush!

My SA buddy told me a story about staying somewhere on vacation where they kept lions penned in, next to a road to the accommodations. He went out for a jog one morning, and got freaked out and cut his jog short when he noticed a lion stalking him along the fence. Where I grew up, the big animal you had to worry about in the woods was a mother moose with a calf!

Yeah, I've stayed at the lion park as well. You can hear them roaring at night. Probably the best sound to fall asleep to. I've watched a doccie about a teenager who got half his body dragged under the fence, and the lions were happily eating him alive. Like I said... they're not to be fucked with.

Purple Envy is a fantastic strain. Darlin's Net is in a different league though. Not as easy to grow as Purple Envy, and maybe not as heavy yielding. I can guarantee without ever having smoked it, that it is going to be some of the best smoke around. I'm really confident about that. It is just so different to anything I've grown before. I still like growing fems. They're so simple and easy, and you get plenty of great fem strains. I would like to run a few fem beans every round. It does seem like the truly special stuff is hidden away in reg beans though.

They are pretty hectic animals..... but it is very funny when you hear them meow and purr like a cat though. Totally wrong sounds coming from a beast like this.

And Blaze was your Dnet from a regular seed?

Yup, reg beans. You only get them in regs. It's worth the extra effort though. In fact, it wouldn't feel right if it were fems. Almost like it's too easy then. LOL!

Chems/og/diesels... you can't go wrong if they're legit.

Yeah bru I got sucked down the rabbit hole last night reading up about strains I'm trying to grow now. The Loco crossed with GSC has lot of good stuff packed into it. The Cuvee looks crazy good too.

Any clue how the naming conventions work? Would the locomotion crossed with GSC be "loco cookies" or a disturbing name: "girl scout motion"?

There is no set rule when it comes to naming conventions.

Do yourself a favour, and read about chemdawg/dog and the different cuts. chem 91, chem d, chem sis and chem 4. You can literally spend days reading about it, and you still won't know the whole truth but it will start to give you an idea of which breeders are working with proper stock.

Actually read some about it last night pretty cool story about it and must have been amazing weed for it to produce such winners. Any recommended sites for reading up on strains and history? Seem most just have a smallish write up like the seedbanks have.

Search for a thread called "good ole dog" on another forum. I C ...

By the way... the user "good ole dog" is actually Skunk VA. Read about him.

I really want to try good GSC and I have 0 Chemdawg experience. I’ll read up when I have time Blaze. Are there other strains that dip into those lineages like Darlin’s Net does with GG4 that you would put on that same level? I was hoping to get some Chemdawg exposure with Liberty Haze but I can’t get it to germ! So I might have to buy another Chemdawg strain to give it a try.

I woulnd't go with Barneys if I was hunting for some chem. Give 91 Krypt a bash. Has a nice chem/sour smell and taste and looks like a decent plant to grow as well. I'm not sure if it's on the same level as Dnet though, but I'm willing to bet you will find something really good if you pop 6 regs of it. Also try Archive and Karma Genetics. They have proper chem and og strains.

All caught up again. Started me some regular seeds last week. It's going to be fun.

All looks well over here Blaze.

Nice one Jim! What did you pop?

I think I'm gonna start digging for gold with the regs, you know your shit blaze. Never done regs but it sounds interesting

You can definitely find gold with regs, but just make sure you research before choosing a breeder. Try Bodhi, Mosca, dynasty etc.

Also, I'm still learning something new almost every day. So I'm no guru. ;)

True that, I'll have a little research later. I got some cali sour og at the sec, What's your thinking on that shit? Supposed to be original sour diesel x ibl og kush, dunno how much I trust that shit though.

Cali connection, I've just started the flush and they look and smell total dank, but just curious if the true genetics are there and I've heard that this swurv dude is a prick lol

Yeah, swerve is a bit of a con artist. He doesn't get much respect from other breeders. Having said that, his Deadhead OG is supposed to be straight fire, and this comes from growers who don't like him. LOL! So I'm willing to bet he has some decent stuff in his lineup as well as some fake ass shit.
