The Stoner’s Book Report By Deeboy: Perpetual Autos

Congrats on the harvests, DB!

Took me awhile to get here, but I finally made it, and I'd like to follow along, if that's cool?
I first thought I'd missed the whole thing, but then I noticed "perpetual" in the title, so I figure this one will be going for awhile...
Congrats on the 3 nice harvests, and judging by the way the next generation is starting out, future harvests are going to be even better!

Never heard of Grove bags before, but they sound pretty interesting , especially the "no burping" thing ..

Great to have you! This is going to be my journal going forward and I plan to follow 4 autos followed by 4 more autos until I don't know what to do with the weed. I give a lot away...
I saw the Grove bags on the Redit autoflower group. A lot of big growers use them but, they sell them directly in whatever quantity for home growers now.

My seed order arrived like this yesterday... My Ace of Spades autos from Gnome Automatics survived, but my Humboldt Sour Apple freebies were nowhere to be found. Seed bank said I can have double freebies next order.

My October girls are really fading. Just a little amber. More waiting... Also looks like I'm making a dent in the fungus gnat population!

Girls of December are training well. They are all mostly staked to the edge of the pots. Just gonna watch them form candelabras now...

I think the local mailman ran over it. The box was wet...

Looks like someone didn’t tip the postman over the Xmas break!

My dad was a postman (letter carrier) he would correct. He used to bring home lots of Old Spice At Christmas time. But you’re right I didn’t give shit to the mailman… and the box was still wet…

Unexpected smoke report! My favorite nighttime smoke from my 1st grow Big Bud x NL ran out a couple of days ago. Why did I give so much away? So, I snuck some of my 5 day cured 3 Bears OG. It’s a little burny. About 5 minutes later I couldn’t feel my face and I was talking to the TV, and my wife basically said something about me being high AF… looking forward to the cured stuff!

Just as soon as I harvest Toof Decay and Pink Panama I want to pop my next 4 beans but, I don’t want these gnats to come along. I have lots less fliers but, a fe of the others still have larva. When I want and it briefly pools up, I can see thousands of the little white squiggly bitches! Tomorrow when I water, I’m going to flood the top, watch them float up and then suck them up in the shop vac! Manual removal will help a lot. I’m not reusing this coco. My next batch of coco has been sitting under my tent exhaust to be thoroughly dried out before I pot the next 4.

Before and after some dead leaf removal. Once again at the “in a week or 2” til harvest stage.

Thanks Bill! Have you got your fire proof grow shed all planned out?

Have you tried using Mosquito Dunks in your plant water?
Just drop part of a dunk in your plant water, and leave it sit for 24 hours, so the BTI can populate the water.
The first watering with the treated water will kill most of the gnat larva- the second watering will kill the rest, then you just wait for the adults to die off- usually about 3 days.
I water with the dunk-treated water every time, just in case the gnats try and make a comeback.
They're cheap, effective, and easy to use- Both the Dunks and the Bits use BTI to kill the gnat larva- it's harmless to you or your plants.

Unfortunately winter has set in and put a freeze on everything.
It'll be spring before I can start anything.

Stay safe

I’ve been using the bits. The instructions said use once a week for 3 weeks and I just gave them the 3rd dose. I’ll start putting in in every watering. Is it ok to add nutes and adjust ph when using the bits? Also, I was wondering if I put a layer of the bits about an inch down in my new pots as a preventative?
