They are super dim. But definitely on. None of my other lights do it at all and the platinum does it randomly for 20 minutes at a time. Literally nothing else does no matter what timer it's plugged into.

Some units are built with a heat shut off. So if it runs too hot it will power down some lights to cool.... basically a result of the light not having the proper cooling and ventilation. So yeah I'd agree with your assessment of platinum. Overpriced pos. K got the same light under another name 1/6 the price .

It's likely a faulty switch anyways so the driver should be okay. And idk if you saw arctic post. But he has a guys for boards you get 5 for the price of 2 from hlg

I'll be contacting him soon.

And I just can't figure out why it turns on. Like rider said it would appear to be the timer but it does it on two separate timers. They are the same make but they keep every other light 100% off during all the dark cycles. The mars the cfls the t5s everything but those same diodes on the p4.

I'm using a Mars Hydro Epistar in a 3 x 3 and it's killing it! If you want to pay more then go with cobs or QB's

Hey arctic. Pretty sure the azamax soil drench wipes out aphids the same as gnats.
It stops breeding. Makes them sterile so everyone that hatched can't breed and slowly their numbers dwindle down and they die. Only takes like 1 soil drench every week or two weeks. Probably depends on the severity of the issue
