Wait until you can leave at least a bit of stem (half an inch or so) above the 4th node. That means node 5 will be out and open a good bit.

After topping between 4 & 5, take off 1 & 2. Leaves you with 3 & 4, and there’s the start of your quad.

Did I see some where that u shouldn’t do it after day 22 or something like that?im on day 14 since seed sprouted, is like to wait a little bit don’t want to pass the window of opportunity

is this an autoflower? some say day 22 is the deadline, yes. ive got a few plants that i topped after day 22. theyre taller than the rest. i think its just about reading your plant. understand high stress training can stunt growth temporarily and when you have a limited window like with autos, every second growing "counts".

but, id rather my plant be a little bit smaller than i would have liked, than having it grow into my light or just have one main bud site. so the risk is worth the reward in that case, at least to me.

Was supposed to leave those two little leaves?

When I top any plants, I just cut the main stem off. But if you clipped the leaves next to it, I'm sure it will be fine. May look odd untill the leaves grow out. Otherwise she will be cool.

She recovered nicely and is growing again, I see some new growth starting
