The Quadsquad Thread: A Community For Quadlining

Hey,fellow quadsquadders-been watching everyones plants and how well they're doing, figured I'd post the last pics for this particular grow-I harvested the Peyote Critical a couple of weeks ago,so she's gone, but I'm doing a 2 stage harvest on the Northern Lights...chopped the main buds 10 days ago,and what's left is getting harvested on Thursday-the lower buds still had a lot of fresh pistils when I harvested the main buds,so I decided to give the lowers another two weeks,so here's what I've got right now-they've actually done quite a bit of growing in the last ten days:
1868349

She's about ready to give it up-the new leaves are coming in practically white- she's still putting out pistils, although not many now...and all the leaves are"funny"
1868350

Believe it or not, there's still hardly any amber on her
1868351

Without the top buds blocking all the light, they've done pretty well catching up-even the popcorn is going to be worth smoking now
1868352

So that's the last look at the Northern Lights-76 days flowering, will be 80 when I harvest on Thursday.
My next quads are going to be 2 autos,so I'll be back in here when they get to training size-
that'll be a little while-I'm going to start the seeds soaking tomorrow, and they'l move into the box as soon as they sprout...
See you in about 3 weeks,if the seeds cooperate, and sprout like they should....:peace:

Looks beautiful @carcass !
Lovely to see all that hard work pay off.

Been a pleasure to watch cass. looking forward to your next one too. peace and blessing mate

Hi All! Not put any updates on here for a while. Barely had time to update my journal. My first quadlining experience was interesting. I don't think I would quadline 2 plants in my little cabinet again. The Candy Kush behaved impeccably but the Cream Mandarine made life difficult. They've both been chopped. The Cream Mandarine is dried and jarred for curing.

She has given me slightly less than I'd hoped for but really can't complain for the setup I have. The HLG65 was only on about 75% for most of flowering too.

The Candy Kush is half jarred and half needs a few more days drying. Probably be a similar weight. It got a little crazy in there at the end.

All in all I'd say it was a successful 2nd grow although quite challenging. Probably looking at a dried total of 90-100g from a 3 drawer cabinet and 65W QB so I should be happy. Thanks to all for contributing to this thread to help each other learn especially @Asesino85 for the great instructions. Really great advice bouncing around as always. Now onto the next journal of cramming a load of autos in a tiny box  Cheers!

I think I cut off too many little tops in the center of the plants so the main branches are kind of bare but I think they will yield nicely. Next time I know what to do.

The blue dream was very difficult to train it grew so fast and the branches kept breaking on me.
This is what I have day 1 12/12

I got one of those Tri-Line girls myself (first pic and back left in the full tent shot). Broke one of the mains on my Peyote Critical by being a little over aggressive with the ties. The Triple Cheese is a nicer square.

Day 45 total, 5 days after the flip, which was day 40

What kinda light is that? It looks awesome, plenty of power

A nice bit of puff there, Vets. Those strains sound gorgeous too. Well done mate!

Auto Quadline Update

Lemon Auto Harvest

Purple Skunk Mass Auto Harvest

Northern Lights. She's been a little neglected but she gets all the attention and the whole tent to herself now for the final stretch. Going to be the best of the bunch in the end.

They will fill out but yeah, I would have left a little more in the middle. All the energy will just go to fatter main buds now and the only way to learn is to try! I think these will still look great in the end. Can't wait to see what they look like post-stretch.

Thanks. Home built, about 300 watts, using Bridgelux 3500k strips. Light measures 24"x24" which covers my 32"x32" quite well.

gh experienced grower. First is Green Crack and second is Cheese. Seeds fem/photo from Seedsman. Both in Sunshine Mix on July 10. Can I turn them when they get to the edge of the pot for more buds/compact plant? Too much stress? I do have plenty of room so I can just let them go past the edge, too. They are under a King LED light(240 wall watts) right now. Soon under 400 w MH for final veg. I'll add a 400 watt HPS for transition/early bloom and cut back the MH a bit for 700 watts total, or so. I'll finish under a DE HPS 1000 watt @ 1150 watts.

Make them how you want them mate. So long as the room is right they’re gonna love the extra attention. That’s what I think anyway, someone else may see an issue I’m missing.
I’m wondering why you want to be running your big light so hot? Are you planning to get an early start on the dry there? ;)

I don't have a heat problem, so throwing as many lumens as I can. I actually use the warmth in the winter to partially heat my house near my bedroom. In the summer, the light's in the cool basement. BTW, I'm in 10 gallon pots, GH nutes and Sunshine hydroponic mix(peat/perlite/buffer)

I'm trying quadlining. I've been blundering around the tent for a year now. I'm going to be honest with you, I've been pulling and snapping, splitting, overfeeding, over watering. And can't understand why they are all hermies.
As you can see, I was in such a good buzz about findingy not only the 420communitty. But this quadlining is the idea that I can't see in my head but I can see the plants leaning towards this training technique quite readily.
The mistake of forgetting to wait until I have potted the seedlings on first. Also the girls are going taller than looks good for trying to train. I've read of one guy who, after removing the first two nodes,he buries the plant up above the 2 nodes and creates a massive root ball. But I digress, I have to bury my seedlings under by half ,,,,cos they all showed up at a distant CFL. 6 inches long overnight. Wobbly.. I've got them in 2gal smartpots , because I have them although I am not sure if I could do the football more good at this stage with solid pots? I've really got doubts about thier suitability for this training. It might end up in full rigging lol.
