So I was planning on setting up a scrog net for my quadlined photos when they're ready, but now I'm wondering if it's really gonna increase the yield enough to make it worth the hassle? If they were just topped, and left alone to do what they do naturally, I can see the point of a scrog setup. But with all the LST involved in QLing, I think I will be better of without the netting?
Preach!! Quadline creates a stable enough structure to not need a net! If you ever need extra support you can add in yo-yos or bamboo sticks!!I did it one time with the netting and the netting just got in the way. I would just quadline them.
Thank you, will doIf your plant is growing strong and is healthy most of the time they can take the topping and node removal together at once. Sometimes people like to space them out to reduce the amount of stress or shock a plant endures but from the looks of it yours should be fine!
I would suggest taking your time though if this is your first plant and experience your first grow!! Do some node removal let her recover and then top her!
Off to a good start!

Cool, then I'll not use the netting. Might as well not make it any more difficult than needed.Preach!! Quadline creates a stable enough structure to not need a net! If you ever need extra support you can add in yo-yos or bamboo sticks!!
Finally got a little free time,so here's a little update on my quads-I'm not sure, but this may be the Peyote Critical's last appearance, she's real close to "done"
Here they are in their cozy little box: (PC on the left,Northern Lights on the right)
Took them out into the overcast to get a few pics:
NL...(guarded by Pretzel,the wonder cat)
And a top shot:
Pretzel the wonder cat apparently doesn't like the smell of the PC-he ran away when I brought her out (in his defense, she is rather "pungent":
She's got a few horizontal buds-they keep falling over, and I keep propping them up.
If I hadn't quadded both of these ladies,I don't think they'd still fit in "the box"- on the PC,you can see the general "rectangular" shape, thanks to the quad training:
And here they are,"stuffed" back into their little home
Getting the first one in is easy,it's the second one that's a challenge, but once I get her through
the somewhat narrow door, they fall into place.
So that's it for this weeks update, just waiting for a bit of amber on the PC,so she may or may not be with us next week....
It's great to see how successful everyone's quads are-they all look sooo good!
Keep on quadding!....see you in about a week!
Pheno Hunt Quad Update
With my Pheno Hunt progressing along these girls have really begun to show off! A tent pack with colas and frost coming up!
Thanks Carcass! It’s still early so I’m hoping for some serious frost rails come harvest!Man, you've got some serious frostiness going on in there,Dutch !
