So many fantastic looking quads everyone!!
Beautiful garden GG!! Those are some happy healthy ladies and once they stretch out it will really fill up your space!seeing it twice in a few mins from you and ase , i have some work to do again now.lol
I am on day 5 since flip. They have filled back in so rapidly and def having some stretch now. also getting some pistils on some of them , especially an older Hulkberry clone. I want to defol again now but seems waiting for stretch to slow is key with this method ?.
here's acouple of pics. all have quadded nicely underneath the canopy and i am getting air below and above to with fans
I was lucky to have found this training method early in my growing career! This will carry on with me for years to come and I love being able to share the experience and knowledge with new growers now as well! I’ve been growing for almost 1 year exactly now and Im proud to say I’ve come a long way!!....I agree HH, this is a really informative thread.. Lot's of pictures for all of those who are unfamiliar with methods, and results/benefits of growing in this fashion.. Especially because most of the people on this site are indoor growers, which has become the trend that has followed closely with recreational legalization... Me, after 25 plus years of consistent growing, both legal and not, I have found this method to be far more productive than just letting the plant grow with little LST at the very least... We didn't have a name for it in the late 80's through the late 90's, It is just how the old hippies that taught us did it.. LMAO... Organic, train, quad or mainline, heavy harvests.. Max the production for each plant.. Green am to all....
No worries zeroday, it totally happens! I just had it happen to one of mine on this last set of quads. Even Ase has run some accidental tri-lines too and they still grow out beautifully with big ol buds! If you are able to tape it back on, give it a try. If not, maybe the broken branch can be made into a clone? If not, run it as a tri-line and it’ll still be great. Now that everyone is posting such awesome pictures off how to do it properly, I'm off to get pics of how to do it totally wrong. 2 of them had one of the branches that comes out of node 4 snap off at the main stem. It didn't happen when I secured them down. It happened overnight. I think I might have pulled them too flat, without bending them ahead of time enough. When I left them, they eventually separated from the main stem, more than they snapped.
Going into the tents to "snap" some pictures, and cry allot. Was already having one of those days (or two or three)!
POOP!!!
Sound advice as usual Dutch. i do need to slow the Gz #1 so will take some of her powerhouses out or she will overtake too much. Didnconsider supercropping her over but dont want to spread her out of the lights footprint for flowering. How strict is the 18inches away for the lights. concern is to not starve her outer limbs by leaving the good par range. They are powerful but i wonder how much higher i can move them to improve the coverage and spread them out a little ?.Beautiful garden GG!! Regarding any defoliation or bode removal during the stretch period.... I wouldn’t!!!! Allowing a good stretch period from your girls will optimize yield and help to not stress them this early in flower!
I generally follow a defoliation 1week prior to flip and then I won’t touch them until Day-21 and then again at Day-45. Those are my 2 major defoliation days in the flowering cycle!! After Day-45 I’ll just pluck and remove a couple of dead or dying fans every other day!

A big thanks to many helpful friends here on this site for helping me along the way!
Can’t wait to see everyone’s quads flowering and flourishing! I’ll be posting some pics later today of my big girls in the flower tent when I have them out for watering!!!

No real harm in taping to keep air out and letting her sort a knuckle out. i have so many snapped and seperated in my quads mate. only take it out if it starts to die off on the growing tips. any connection will still feed her and she will reroute when needed to. Nothing to lose ? .As promised, here are a couple of pictures of how NOT TO quadline, A.K.A. I F'ed up. :-(
This is the plant I call GG4-4.
The other end of the branch that separated from the main stem, on GG4-4
GG4-6, with the branch completely removed.
Picture of all the plants in this batch. Again, GG4-4 and GG4-6 are the two is had the issue with.
I don't have the patience, or the space at this point to use the snapped branches as clones, and I highly doubt they will repair themselves. Again, they aren't snapped off more than they just separated from he main stem. The end is already calloused over. I am going to snip them off and toss them. The dogs like to play with branches, so what the hell, one for each dog.
Have a Groovy evening all.
literally, that is nothing lol like ggd says bit of tape itl knuckle good and be strong af..As promised, here are a couple of pictures of how NOT TO quadline, A.K.A. I F'ed up. :-(

looking very good falcon. should be a nice harvest.Day 79 Update. Day 28 of 12/12.
I must say I am really impressed by how my 1st grow is coming along. Couldn't be happier that I found this thread and gave it a go.
I had to tape my dwc plant at day 35 as I split the top nodes pretty good if you remember, but they recovered and are as good as gold, as you can see below.
