The Quadsquad Thread: A Community For Quadlining

Great job KM! Perfect angle. The wrapped wire is a good add too, not quite as harsh on the stems. I’d just say as you continue to adjust the ties as it grows, keep an eye on your main stalk and try to keep it as straight as you are able. It’s not as crucial, but it will help build a solid base for the monster colas coming your way. Great job :thumb:

I love this thread! So nice to see so many people helping and giving good information. HH is definitely right here with everything she has said. Everything looks great @Knifemaker420 Glad you let up a bit on the ties (now it looks about a 20% angle and that is right where you want it) and good job using the metal stakes as anchor. Those rubber ties are the best way to make sure the branches don't break as they have a little give to them but any branch will break if they are tied down too tight. Overall you are doing a great job.

Thanks Ase, I think this Gelato was the perfect choice out of my group to try the quadline on. She really seems to be thriving under the restraints. The bend in the top bit of the main stem didnt straighten back up when I released the staples but I tried to leave that side s bit looser for now and hope it will be ok.

You may notice in my pictures there is one fan leaf at the top node that I almost broke off when I was starting the training. It broke but was still attached and it healed up off to the side funny. This made the limb growing out over it to sit lower than the other side and when I started training those limbs I tried to make them level with each other causing the bend in the main stem. Hope it will be fine...

HEDZENMEDZ - FULL UPDATE
Hi Everyone, hope all is well. Here is my QUADLINE update
Day 75 for the original quadline group (photo periods : 1 Bad Azz Kush - 1 Gorilla - 1 LA Confidential manifolded - autos : Early Miss x 2, 1 quadlined, 1 LST). Yesterday, made my first attempt at cloning. I took 5 clones from the Gorilla and 2 from the Bad Azz Kush. There were not enough branches on the Gorilla to take any more as I had hoped. The reason I let these girls go so long in veg was to get some clones. Transition to flower started 5 days ago. When does everyone start counting the days in flower? Is it at the start of transition?
There’s quite a size difference between the 2 early miss auto plants. Clearly, the quadline was the right choice.
Day 27 now for the 2 surviving MK-ULTRA autos. Started pinning them down yesterday. Please let me know what you think (good or bad). It’s all good for everyone to have 360 degrees of constructive feedback. Cheers!

I’m interested in watching the MK Ultra grow out. I start counting when I see the first pistils.
Thanks for that Penny - I’ll be sure to post lots of pictures as they grow. We have been buying the MATTEGO strain buds from Aurora which is their proprietary name for MK-Ultra. Nice and smooth for vaping and also I decarb it, grind it fine and put it in capsules for my wife and she really likes the pain killing quality. We got our seeds from T.S. Seeds. Not impressed, as a out of 5 seeds, we only ended up with 2 plants and it looked as if the smaller one would not make it, but it’s doing ok now. We also have 5 photo seeds of the same from the same seedbank. I am expecting that they will do better, plus we can clone.

What’s up everyone! So as you all may know I jumped in head first with this massive Pheno Hunt and so far all is well! I’ve transplanted a few into their final 5Gal final homes in which they will be flowered in and I’ve transplanted the rest Into 3gals to continue their veg and to continue the quadline training!

Now I couldn’t think of a better spot to be in with my quads and I wanted to share them all with you! Here they are yesterday on Day-29 from seed! Let the quads go!

She's sitting in a DIY octopot as I was curious about it, not quite sure I got the hang of it yet but I got no complaints......

Lovely!

Gorgeous. Mine are 2 weeks old now and have just gone into their final pots. Just need them to grow out a little before the bending begins.

Great growth for two weeks, should be a good one to watch :thumb:

2 weeks and 2 days if I'm precise. Surprised me how much they've grown already. Could be a challenge keeping them from outgrowing the cabinet but that's part of the fun. Where there's a will there's a way.

challenge keeping them from outgrowing the cabinet
I can relate to that...It's funny - we do all we can to make them grow big and healthy, and when they do just that,we start to worry about them getting too big and healthy...
You're right though @VetSmoke85 -part of the fun is making them fit somewhere that they shouldn't...

so i popped the girls in their final pots tonight, 3 days now since quadline began, wanted them settled ready for tying down..
