BioBomb brownies for the next week. I've already eaten one and a half. Frustration. I just returned from my yearly checkup and visit with my PCP. This delightful man is one of the best doctors I've met over the years, perfectly matched to his profession, a caring and thoughtful man who dabbles in his musical passion as part of a band. We've weathered the health storms together over the past 15 years, although he just became my own doctor. I didn't have medical coverage until Sept. of last year.

In our conversation he asked about my daughter, also his patient, so I described the almost miraculous response she's had with her cannabinoid therapy. He's pleased to hear this, and pleased that I'm doing well. So I encourage him to prepare his staff to be able to come at cannabinoid therapies with intelligence and training.......

You know where this is going, don't you?

He informed me that he has no plans to prescribe "that stuff" because he doesn't intend to invite "that element" into his practice. Too many people just wanting to get high.

*sigh* See? It still makes me cry, and it's been over an hour. I stood in the corner of the exam room while I waited for my flu shot and quietly cried for all the needless pain and suffering that will continue in the practice of this man whom I consider a good doctor.......

.....because the medical professionals are concerned that people just want to get high.

I'm still relatively new to this path. Sometimes I wish I could walk away from the battle. I won't. I'll become more resolved. That's what I told myself I was doing, crying in that lonely corner, building resolve.

Mostly I feel sad. I can't stay at sad. I'll work back to driven in a couple moments, but first I'll finish off that second brownie. This was mighty deep frustration. Those brownies have a gram each in them. I don't think I'll be sad much longer. Thoughtful yes, but not sad.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Sue...as members of the 420 global human laboratory, we are all immersed in our passion of growing and advocating for our patient's and loved one's health outside of western medical medicine and synthetic pharma...we are a living and breathing receptacle of first hand cutting edge knowledge, experimentation, and shared information of what works and what doesn't....remember, we know more than most....

Because of our federal government's schedule I classification, very little or no research is being done here....did you know that Israel has been doing cannabis research for more than 55 years through the state government dollars and research grants....in fact, an Israeli pharmacologist named Raphael Machoulam, who discovered and studied THC and CBD receptors and how they work in our bodies to combat certain diseases....is speaking to a Cannabis Symposium coming up in Denver...

Doctors are scientists who can and will not accept any medical opinions that are not written by other academics (peers) and backed up by references in a white paper....so don't take it personally...people like Raphael will do much to change the perception in our country with his lifetime of study, and I think we will be seeing much more of this...

Puttin myself on front street here but I myself suffer from severe depression.....when I was young I used herb more recreationally.....then due to career I had to stop for many years.....within that time frame I ended up takin FOUR pharm meds (psych meds) just to function on a daily basis.....once I started usin herb again BOOM....meds are cut in half and also the episodes of major depression are farther between episodes. Do I still have depression/anxiety...yes....I have PTSD......but as far as quality of life is concerned....Im much happier on a day to day basis with herb!
Shawnee.....I totally agree with your statement on the medical profession. Many Docs act like cannabis is a horrible alternative when 4 outta 10 people seen before & after you are probably prescribed opiods while cannabis doesnt harm your kidneys or liver or whatever. Ok.....sorry for takin your thread hostage sue. (I will gladly release 1 hostage in trade for a brownie!) Bwahahaha :volcano-smiley:

So is this closed? last post ? Well wishes to all who re take this journey sue has lived and we have shared.

May your future thread share all the warmth and grow karma in Peace love and Joy :circle-of-love:

now I am hungry for pie lol damn, that looked like a pro baked desert mmmhmmm

page 400 post #6000 kinda hot lol

Hab.

I didn't time that well Hab. I almost missed that it was page 400. :laughtwo: I haven't made up my mind yet about the change, so if I do it I'll go with page 500. Assuming I don't miss it. Lol!

As for the silica, that's the first I've heard of it being used as a ph up. That wouldn't be to my advantage then, would it? My understanding is that I should anticipate a shortage of both calcium and magnesium in using a hempy. Have you found your experience to be contrary? Is there some way I could avoid this? Very wet behind the ears here. :battingeyelashes:

Don't you ever apologize to me for speaking your mind here Scottay. :hugs:  Thank you, and thank you as well Shawnee. My daughter reminded me that this generation of doctors will be retiring and there's a different generation coming up behind them, many of whom are more open-minded.

In the meantime we continue on as dedicated lab rats.

The brownies were a nice touch. Good cosmic timing. Street meds don't have the same flavors as home-grown, but the brownie mix overcame that deficiency and they were moist and fairly potent. That was a nice save of plant material that I was having a hard time using.

Time to check in on the girls. Be right back. :ciao:

The order confused me I always mix nutes then calmag if needed (my water is high in Ca and Ca toxicity locks me out so i am carefull sometimes) then ph with silica a ml or two depending on how bufferd the water is, or in winter when ph gets higher less watershed run off I use citric acid powder to ph down.

lex and tead mentioned order of operations so I was just curious to reasoning.

I think you should do exactly what you did last time with dda#2 Sue :green_heart: I'll just watch and learn...

There is science behind it. I forget the science (cuz I'm an old stoner)... but I know of it's existance.
Most nute routines published by the makers of the nutes will include the order as well.

Words from DynaGro's feeding chart....

Always add Pro-Tekt to water first

:laughtwo: That's sweet of you, but what I did last time was to panic. Lol! I'm shooting for a little more grace this time around the dance floor. I'm glad you're gonna be riding along Hab.

Got some nice lentil soup into me, so let's get some of this posted already.

Quiet elegance.

Supplementing silica. I have Agsil 16, which I use in all my LOS drenches. I'll get some Cal/mag next time I have excess funds, and just make due with the epsoms and milk until then.

lexort, thanks for the heads up on the calimagic. I just checked that out. I have access to a Prime account and I'm sure I can swing this right now, so I'll have it in a couple days. That'll make lots of difference, won't it? Make my life simpler. And thanks on the input on adding it first.

Can anyone tell me, will it matter at what point I'd be adding Agsil? I'd think at the end wouldn't be a problem. Just checking.

Thank you gentlemen. I don't know if I'll end up a hydro grower Tead. That's a lot of equipment I don't need to add to my belongings. Of course, I don't always intend to be here, do I? :battingeyelashes:  When I meet the next man I'll smother in love until he dies I'll push for more expansive growing accommodations. Lol!

Ya the calimagic should be a good supplement to the GH 3 part. I found it kinda nessacery due to using distilled water so when i would want to give a slight flush or whatever i could actually get a ph reading i also add in a bit to my feed water. See the way i found out about adding the calimagic first was because i downloaded a pdf for a drain to waste scheduale for the GH 3 part plus calimagic and it says on a side note that calimagic should be added first. I don't know about the science behind it really i just assumed maybe adding it last would screw with the ph or something so i just put it first now to avoid any possible problems lol. So yes it should be of use and help and remember hempy is the lazy growers hydro no need to overcomplicate everything lol thats one thing im still working on myself lol.

Here's how I evaluate the situation, Sue....because of my corrupt state government, my governor pulled a fast one to keep legalization off the ballot this November....yet he held closed door meetings all summer long with the police departments and refused to allow citizens to participate and vote....he just passed more regulations....still, 60% of Americans are for legalization, so your Doc falls in the minority of the 40%...the tides have changed, for sure....a nation-wide Marijuana Policy organization is visiting my state next month in 3 cities to "listen" to citizens and help put it on the ballot again in 2018....I have to attend and do my part or I could never look in the mirror.....

In addition, I just had to renew my state medical caregiver card....I sat before a DR. who was in his late 70's, perhaps 80's, obviously retired, who spends 4 part time days a week at a dispensary filling out paperwork to send into the state...very well run...he was kind, and understood our cause and the importance of the work that we do....I left with a huge smile on my face....

I'm still in shock at how well the clones took. Happy as I can be about the future possibilities.

I got my Crop King Seeds prize package today with the White Widow Feminized and Candy Cane Auto seeds. :slide: I'm excited to try the White Widow in particular. It could be just the oil I need for a friend.

I'm on to domestic chores. Clothes need put away. I'll catch up with you all later. Thanks for stopping. :ciao:

:Namaste:

There's hope. I'll refuse to give up my hopeful expectation of true freedom, but I'll take the advancements, one step at a time. My own state is just starting down that road. It looks like rocky days ahead.
