The smallest mix I make is 1/2 gallon. I use a 2tsp medicine syringe I picked up at WallyWorld for free (they hand them out at the pharmacy). I just split my 1gal measurements in 1/2 for the 1/2 gallon mixes.

Of course, be careful making 1/2 mixes... it's real easy to give them them 1gal nutrients by mistake.

Mistake made by me many times over. I started to use excess from my gal for veggies round here. Eggplant love GH products. But I eventually made a 1/2 gal container that has measurements written on it. Designated for this plant exclusively. Usually kept with corresponding nutes. Always rinsed.

Probably not of much use to yous guys but I hadda try.

I really think you're just seeing the difference betwixt hydro and soil. There's a reason so many choose hydro after all.
The drawback is the hassle of course. I avoid most of it with the Passive Hydro Drain to Waste Hempy pots, but normal res based hydro is a good bit of work and can be quite touchy.

I'm calling it here and now... I predict an active hydro grow in your future.
 
Since your using GH sweetsue i would recommend calimagic from GH its pretty cheap on the amazon rainforest site. If you go with calimagic just know its always supposed to go in first when mixing nutes, i didn't know that at first and was hard to find that info. So basically if your mixing nutes it would be calimagic then micro then the rest.

Plus, if you're supplementing Silica, that goes in first as well. Silica, calmag, nutes, ph adjuster.

Supplementing silica. I have Agsil 16, which I use in all my LOS drenches. I'll get some Cal/mag next time I have excess funds, and just make due with the epsoms and milk until then.

lexort, thanks for the heads up on the calimagic. I just checked that out. I have access to a Prime account and I'm sure I can swing this right now, so I'll have it in a couple days. That'll make lots of difference, won't it? Make my life simpler. And thanks on the input on adding it first.

Can anyone tell me, will it matter at what point I'd be adding Agsil? I'd think at the end wouldn't be a problem. Just checking.

Only one more THC capsule to go, and not enough DDA on hand yet to risk an oil production. I'll wait until I have the last DDA in. These are my baseline meds though, so something has to replace them. Yesterday I started the process for making the brownie oil using the street meds. This should convert them from tasteless filler to yummy edibles.

It aids building strong plant structure and helps in hot gardens.... like my own. Having said that, I've been out for a while and have not seen a difference.

Well... a little bubbled DWC setup is pretty simple and cheap. You'd have to incorporate PPM measurement. Gotta control your temps.
I could see it. After all, it's an un-kicked tire. Might depend upon the depth of your curiosity.

Wow! I just realized we've hit page 400. I've been thinking guys...... Maybe we need to cut these journals at, say page 500, and just step into a fresh room every now and then. That way we don't end up with a journal into the thousands of pages. That's pretty off putting for most members.

We could cut it at 400 and have me start anew today.

BioBomb brownies for the next week. I've already eaten one and a half. Frustration. I just returned from my yearly checkup and visit with my PCP. This delightful man is one of the best doctors I've met over the years, perfectly matched to his profession, a caring and thoughtful man who dabbles in his musical passion as part of a band. We've weathered the health storms together over the past 15 years, although he just became my own doctor. I didn't have medical coverage until Sept. of last year.

In our conversation he asked about my daughter, also his patient, so I described the almost miraculous response she's had with her cannabinoid therapy. He's pleased to hear this, and pleased that I'm doing well. So I encourage him to prepare his staff to be able to come at cannabinoid therapies with intelligence and training.......

You know where this is going, don't you?

He informed me that he has no plans to prescribe "that stuff" because he doesn't intend to invite "that element" into his practice. Too many people just wanting to get high.

*sigh* See? It still makes me cry, and it's been over an hour. I stood in the corner of the exam room while I waited for my flu shot and quietly cried for all the needless pain and suffering that will continue in the practice of this man whom I consider a good doctor.......

.....because the medical professionals are concerned that people just want to get high.

I'm still relatively new to this path. Sometimes I wish I could walk away from the battle. I won't. I'll become more resolved. That's what I told myself I was doing, crying in that lonely corner, building resolve.

Mostly I feel sad. I can't stay at sad. I'll work back to driven in a couple moments, but first I'll finish off that second brownie. This was mighty deep frustration. Those brownies have a gram each in them. I don't think I'll be sad much longer. Thoughtful yes, but not sad.
