The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Made some concentrate. Had a few mishaps like my collection vessel turning sideways and spilling into the water bath! Lost over half including some into some very dank smelling snow! Haha it's been awhile. Will post a topic on converting said concentrate into cannabis ejuice later today. Will post a link here for all interested!

Just for you Reg! Because you asked so nicely. :circle-of-love:

Morning SweetSue! Can't wait for you to get back. Although you really never left!

Tead, I hear you. :laughtwo: The legal states already take for granted what the rest of us are still hoping for. i get such joy at watching that expression though. Soon it'll be all of us.

Shiggity, I'm so thrilled to see you're progressing on this project. I look forward to the post. :high-five:

It's funny, I know I've been here all along, but I also feel like I'm missing all of you too. I think it's because I can't join you in mind expansion. :laughtwo: Nine days and counting. :slide:

Having breakfast at The Rio this morning. You wouldn't believe the amount of food!!!!! I'm going to post a picture on the Spot 'cause it was that shocking.

To be fair we don't take it for granted. I was part of this fight in CO for years and now up here and it took real work to get it all to happen. This is an example of how people can really make change in how things work! I know you know this Sue but I want people not to think this happened in places like CO and AK as an accident.

Also, I used to live in a state where this never was going to happen and had to leave (for many reasons politically). That also wasn't sacrifice free but meant I could live around people of like mind. If people vote not only with the ballot box but with their feet, states will change. Let's face it, Washington and Colorado are booming now because young people want to live there.

The change is coming folks, just go out there and be that change.

Sorry for the political rant. Back to your regular program now.
Bob

will be around more. Being away I didnt even know you were not at home where is you now

I'll confirm that what Dr. Bob said is also true in Oregon.
We still have to fight for our rights on a daily basis. Even though it is legal in Oregon, there is still a ton of work to do. City after city has banned grows and dispensaries (even medical). Others put crazy requirements to limit what happens, like requiring a 450 foot set-back from property lines to grow. I have a neighbor with 10 acres but it is long and narrow. The property is a existing medical grow and fenced so nothing can be seen, but because the land is only 800 feet wide they will be in violation if this ordinance passes since there is no spot 450 feet from all property boundaries. Also, banks will not accept money for deposit or give loans to anyone in the cannabis industry. They are worried about losing their FDIC charter since the Fed's still say pot is illegal and accepting any money would be viewed as money laundering. The state began collecting taxes Jan 1st. Local growers, processors and sellers now have to take huge sums of cash and drive it to Salem with bodyguards.
I could go on, but ...

Damn legalized state residents.... acting all like "gee... I just pick it up off the shelf like a pack of gum...."

I dream.

Lol. Ya damn skippy my friend.
I sacrificed alot to be here, believe me.

But, yep, actually buying gum is harder than buying these.

They're awesome for public places. No smell, smoke, Nada.
They're good for keeping high once your there. Not so great at getting you high compared to other stuff. So, you dab/vape at home, go to the movies & use the pen to stay high.
They're now made by 100's of Mfg's, all differ in quality. The best are from dispensaries that make their own out of their own strains.

We have gas stations that dispense weed now too. Lol. Sorry Tead.
In all honesty, I hated ppl from CO because of all this.... until I moved here.

That is the truth. There is a small but highly involved populace that is still very against legalization. But, they are shrinking in number very quickly and the other side is growing. Just be positive and say positive things whenever you have a chance to people who doubt. Often their doubt is simply ignorance and they have been filled with misinformation to serve someone elses purpose.

Wow! It's 2 AM and I just got here. What does it say that I spent an hour over at Graytail's before I even made it here? :laughtwo: He was on the way. LOL!

Bear, I've been vacationing in Phoenix since Dec. 11, and we've been in Vegas since Saturday. We head back to Phoenix tomorrow and I fly back home next Wednesday.

I'm impressed with the discussion on legality. I've been compelled to spread the healing word about cannabis lately, and it's been surprisingly well received by people I know up until very recently were vehemently opposed to cannabis in any form. Being knowledgable about the true facts about the plant and it's many uses, including, but not exclusive to medicinal uses, has been a good part of that acceptance. Being non-threatening and rational goes a long way.

I remember something Oldergrower said about not getting argumentative, because once you argue you've lost them and they'll dismiss all your valid points. He made essentially the same argument about being truthful about your level of knowledge. If you don't know with authority say so. Being honest about your lack of knowledge wins more respect than desperately throwing out something that's thin or erroneous just to win an argument. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Our numbers are growing, and in this country we can change policy through the power of the vote. There's a link to 420 Magazine Activist Central in my signature. 420 Warrior could use all the boots on the ground we can muster. It's in everyone's best interest for us to be more active and better educated about cannabis.

Duggan, I know this is way after your post, but thanks. It warms my heart that you're excited about seeing me get back to it. I promise, this time nothing smaller than 7 gallons. :laughtwo:

STIHL LOGGER..... :welcome: to my journal. Yes indeed, we have quite a crew and they carry on some amazing conversations. I'm thankful you've chosen to become part of those discussions. Don't be shy now. :battingeyelashes:

Last, but by no means least Shiggity, you're amazing my friend. The terpene expressions are something we could all gain so much from. I'm just now beginning to get interested in learning more about them. I posted some interesting information on my blog about the curing and degradation of terpenes that was done years ago. The chart showing the timelines in both directions was worth a look see.

Olive Oil Extract Update

Thanks for the post on the eliquid Shiggity. That deserves some rep points. And a big hug. :hugs:

Coming up on 3 AM and I need to force myself to put the iPad down and try to get some sleep. We travel tomorrow and I'm notorious for not being able to sleep the night before I travel. I'm exhausted by the Vegas activities. Two major shows in three days and all the wandering has worn me out. :laughtwo: I never did place any bets on the tables, and really never played a slot machine through the cycle more than the first time, when I won $0.25. :laughtwo: Turns out I can't make myself gamble.

This next week I'm insisting I do Callanetics every other day and do so early in the morning before I sit down to do anything else. I let the body get out of condition, and I'm not happy about it. After working on fitness and alignment my days will be spent completing the preparations and planning for the grow. Seeds get dropped as soon as they arrive and/or when I get home.

 Fell asleep at the wheel there. Hahaha!

Goodnight all. Thanks for being part of the joy.

Good Morning everyone.

We're all packed up and waiting for bell service. Time to head for Pheonix. Eight days and counting until I'm home guys. :yahoo:

I'll be spending the next week firming up my plans for the grow, getting in the last of my orders for supplies and getting back to my fitness program and get the body back on track. Vacations are so indulgent, and isn't that grand? :laughtwo:

My water distiller, most of the oil-making supplies and the tents are all delivered and waiting for me. I just need some incidental supplies for the oil-making, some vermicompost and one gallon Geo Pots and I think I'm good. Seeds are in transit. Cross the fingers and toes everyone. I have other options in the personal seed bank, but no autos appropriate for the daughter, so they need to get there before I do.

I'll catch up with everyone when I get back into Phoenix. The Internet access is spotty at best between here and there. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:
