The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Oh I think I may have added the R, idk. Either way, we are on the same page I believe.

Jasmonic acid - Wikipedia

I've been trying to remember this ever since Cajun mentioned the oils. It was your post that I was trying to recall. Yep, we're on the same page. We'll be using it as a drench. Well, I can't speak for Cajun, but I'll be using it as a drench.

Ah, step right in. Right behind Reg.

For 14 easy payments of only $999.99 (a steal) to my off shore account...
And I'll pm you how too.

Sue, I told ya we'd be rich.

So nice to see you planning ahead mon ami. :battingeyelashes:

Oils for veg foliar, botanicals for watering or foliars.

I hear you 36. This is an experiment we're doing to try and duplicate the effects seen by the dispensaries and it's very small amounts, 2.5ml per gallon. I like your idea of using soaking the herbs and using the infusion as a drench though. Have you done much of that? If so, are you seeing any substantive results?

I have to share. We're going to Vegas this weekend, my first time. We just found out that my friend's daughter-in-law got us tickets to the Blue Man Group. :woohoo: :slide:

We'll be in the first two rows, and I hear one doesn't go to this with the expectation of coming out dry. Hahaha! So cool! I'm feeling rediculously pampered.

Thanks everyone. I am getting a rough idea about the tacking. Like Susan, I need to check on a few things before I get into a better post.

One question I have is, what is considered a normal amount of oil in grams per day after adapting to using it?

I never know

The standard is working up to a gram a day Canyon. That's spread out over many applications throughout the day, of course. I'm new enough to the process that I can't tell you what a maintenance dose would be, but for treating disease, one gram a day. If you ask this question on the dosing tutorial thread someone could tell you about the maintenance levels.

Is it the leaf microbes, is something else extracted? How much time or temp determines what? There is so much we don't understand yet.

That's why we find the process so addictive 36. There's no end to the learning. I look forward to the time when the Federal government finally gives in and removes cannabis from schedule one and we can start running some serious tests with proper scientific method. It's starting now in the legal states, but most of us are still out in the cold. About the best we can do now is keep good records and hope we see the patterns over time, but the prospect of large research grows is still nothing but a dream.

In twenty years we're going to know so much more about the plant and how to maximize strain potentials. What we're doing here amazes me, but with proper funding........

Question for all you Oilers::cco:

Can the oil you make be used in the re-fillable battery operated e-cigs? Those things are so common now that it would be the perfect solution to medicating in public.

I've enjoyed ecigs with canna juice before. It was way fun. I didn't acquire the doodads, so I can't tell you anything about it really... but they do exist.

I was just strolling over to your yard. How sweet to find you here in mine. :battingeyelashes:  I'm going to check your journal out now. See you there. :kisstwo:

Hello to All My Medical Marijuana Migos!

I just wanted to personally thank everyone here for the wealth of information, especially regarding CCO which I had not even heard about until I visited this site.. I have already convinced 5 people outside of this wonderful 420 community to research the positive effects of CCO.
I do have a question. I read the link in Sweet Sue's sig on how to make CCO. However, at this time I am on a fixed income and cannot afford all the components at one time. If there are any appliances or methods I can substitute to make this cheaper, your suggestions/links would be greatly appreciated! For example, I do not have a rice ccoker, but I was give a slow cooker and a pressure cooker for Christmas. Could I substitute these appliances in the place of the rice cooker?

NO EXPERIENCE at all with the CCO, MzSiroz & company

From what I have read, it seems that the heating process is a tricky one, not to hot, not to cold. This makes my chef gears turn.
Why not use a double boiler, like you would to slowly heat up a soup or sauce.
A pan with water on the stove, with a snug fit pan on top containing your oil, solvent mix. Regulating heat this way is easy as pie. I would still use a thermometer but it seems logical.

Thoughts anyone?

The original process uses a double boiler (of olive oil) and non-contact infrared thermometer to finish the oil.

Because the solvent used, usually 95% grain alcohol which is very expensive, the distiller is substituted to recover the alcohol while the extract is being cooked down. Otherwise, something like the rice cooker is used and the alcohol escapes as volatile vapors.

Do tell Tead! What's canna juice? Is it the same as oil or tincture? What do you mean by doodads?

Sorry B A R... you've triggered a story in the minefield of Tead's random thoughts.

So, I'm a fairly friendly guy... not at all afraid of chatting up strangers. Grew up in OR. Now in The Big Easy.
One day, I strike up a chat with a dude hanging outside a hotel wearing UofO Duck colors. It was right after legalization. I point the discussion in that direction.
He just hands me a little e-cig pen and says "Knock yourself out", then strolls away.
I was left fairly gobsmacked and happy. Awesome juice/oil/magical liquid... whatever. Made the rest of my travels that day awesome.
Oregonian luv. I sure miss it.
