The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

This was grown under the Timber Vero 240 LED panel Noob, with the CFLs as side lighting. So yes, once again CFLs made a difference in my grow, but that panel is incredible. I'm working on a plan to lift the plant in there now so I can turn the light back on, but it looks really happy under the CFLs, so I'm not in a big rush. :laughtwo:

I gave this some thought as I was looking at the jars filled with monster buds and decided it was time to raise the DDA2 up to near 2' from the Timber Vero 240 and turn it back on. That was an amazing harvest. Let's do better. :laughtwo:

She's about 25" from the light.

Here we go again. I like the looks of this one already. Loving this light.

Dan, at Timber Lights, tells me they have this unit on sale now for $399. And, he tells me, if you mention my name they'll comp your shipping, in the continental U.S. That was pretty sweet of them. :battingeyelashes:  We're all a little excited about this harvest. I'm still giggling, but then I've been smoking it all day long, so that's to be expected. :laughtwo:

Daily Update: Monday, May 16, 2016

Another relatively quiet day in the garden. Lifting the DDA2 was really the extent of my duties. So let's check in.

Carnival (Day 29) I raised the light a bit today. She's happy here for now.

DDA2 (Day 34)

image12173.jpeg

image12174.jpeg

I decided to spread her open a bit and weight down the upper tips to let the lower branches catch up for a few days before I let her loose. She's already a bit behind schedule because of the topping. Look at those strong leaves. What a hearty strain!

The clones are still not showing any roots. (Day 14)

image12178.jpeg

Lets check on the flowering girls. We're at Day 96 in here.

Nothing up yet. Probably tomorrow.

Off to the veg tent.

image12189.jpeg

Strawberry Blue (Day 34) It's time to step up the restraints a bit and get her oriented to fill the pot. This is gonna take some planning. She's responding well, and I'm in no rush to get her moved anywhere, so I'll take my time and learn a thing or two as I go.

Crossroads (Day 20)

Shiva Shanti ll (Day 13) It's funny, but she has this really laid-back aura about her. :laughtwo:

Bubba Kush (Day 33)

That's everybody. A happy garden. :battingeyelashes:  Tomorrow I do the second treatment of spinosad. I see no signs of anything surviving the first onslaught. Now it's just a matter of stop the cycles. It's gonna to be a busy day tomorrow. Almost everyone gets drenched.

Time for Callanetics. I'll catch you all later. You are continuing to spread joy? :battingeyelashes: Good. I'm doing my best from here too.

:Namaste:

And CM thinks we don't have the space in our room and you are doing all of this in a couple 2x2 areas. Good work sue. Also about your clones, they look great but I am a little surprised that there are no roots. If they were dead, they would be yellow, dry and dead. It'll happen. Few more days.

I got through scanning 12 pages and wow, that was like day 2 of the journal, lots of support and love from this group!

You mentioned being a caregiver and "she's my baby" which made me want to share one of my favorite ween songs, She's your baby, [video]

Awesome looking plants by the way.

Well, technically, I have three spaces nismo. The closet measures 1x2' with smaller slots off to each side that can be used in veg, if the need arises, as in the case of the Carnival. Canna is wisely trying to keep from expanding too quickly, something almost everyone of us does at one point or another. :laughtwo:

Thanks weenmeoff. I'm surrounded by the most supportive team I could hope to have. :circle-of-love: The video was delightful, but also off topic, so I moved it to my Spot thread. The mods will pull this one any minute now.

All the kiddies in the veg all tucked in together ;) Everything looks awesome Sue! Just swingin on by at my usual 4am perusal :high-five:

Always a pleasure to have you stop by. You're one of those people I mentioned in a previous post that I always like to stay up for. A past couple nights I've been in bed before 1 AM. :thedoubletake: Still waking up after five hours though, but now I'm on a schedule more in tune with the community I walk among. As sweet as that is, I find myself already missing the late night hour crew. :laughtwo:

Good Morning everyone.

Bed by one! You are such a good girl Sue! Makes me proud of you for making the effort. Your circadian repair mechanisms were like "woo lets get to work!" +reps!

I came across a video last night before bed that showed how to make a quick batch of shatter. I've never tried shatter, but I do have all the necessary supplies and a desire to test out my concentrates pen I won in the MOTY contest, so I have 2 gm of my Dark Devil Auto drying at 200 degrees F, after which I'll toss it in the freezer for five hours with my solvent and give this a shot later today. :slide:

I must admit Shiggity, I'm waking up feeling more alert and my days are more productive as well. Thank you so much for caring enough to speak out on my body's behalf. :battingeyelashes:

Alarm's set for 12:30 PM

Now since you are using ethanol Sue go for a longer soak. Freeze everything like you are doing then soak the ethanol and the bud together and put back into the freezer for 3 full minutes swirling every 30 seconds or so. The rest of the procedure is the same including doing a second wash. Have fun! Can't wait for the Sue Dab post!

Btw got some pics up now that will show you why the twister is such an amazing 60% sativa. She's putting out the pistils and trichs like a madwoman!

Thanks Shiggity. You're such a dear. I'm so excited. I've heard about shatter and I've wanted to try for the longest time. That pen's been teasing me since mid-February. :laughtwo:

I'll be by in a minute to see the pictures. I'm doing the second CAT on my CBD Critical Cure today and trichs are just starting to show.

Oops, won't happen again but I'm glad you got a chance to hear it before deleted.

I moved it to the Spot thread. :battingeyelashes:

Check this out!!!

My Dark Devil Auto stalk is blooming. :laughtwo:

It'll be fun to see how your vaping concentrate comes out, Sue.

I've been wanting to try my hand at rosin and you efforts spurred me into action. I picked up the hair straightener after watching a few you-tubes a week or so back.

Started with 2g of 5th Element. Didn't take any pictures since juggling the parchment, hair straightener, and clamp was all I could manage. Got some decent splatters for a first try. There is a learning curve with this stuff...

Here's what I ended up with after gathering it up.

I think rosin may be the easiest way for most folks to make connoisseur quality dabs. If you have a hair straightener give it a try sometime.

I tried an extraction the other day using Everclear alcohol, trim, strainer, and a double boiler. It took all of about 20 minutes and was the first time I ever tried anything besides butter. I can definitely recommend it.

How delightful PeeJay. My first wash is almost done. It's not a whole lot. I only used 2 grams.

image12236.jpeg

The second wash'll be done in about a half hour. I had to let the alcohol evaporate out of the plant material first. It's been in the freezer for about 2 1/2 hours now.

I purchased a hair straightener last month in anticipation, but I haven't tried it yet. I love all this experimentation. :laughtwo:

How much did you make Brixnewb? Also, how did you consume it? I'm looking forward to trying this shatter later. I haven't ever used a concentrates pen and this will be my first time trying shatter at all, so I have no idea what to expect.

May I present......

Zamaldelica , fresh out of the dirt.

Welcome little one. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I never measured. It was just trim from the 2 plants I harvested most recently. Not much, maybe 2/3 filled a 12 ounce Mason jar. Then enough Everclear to cover the trim. It yielded enough to get a daily heavy smoker insanely high. Probably enough for two sessions, but we were going for broke. I used a glass bubbler with a glass nail. Heated the nail and dropped the wax right on it.
