The Mega Crop Thread

This is a fantastic thread with more and more info every day! I just wanted to show some healthy ladies enjoying the MegaCrop life ! Currently being fed 5.25g/4L

Flip this weekend so stay tuned for some frosty updates to come!

Amazing looking crop. That scrog is going to be loaded.

It contains the grow in a larger room, making it easier to control the environment.
With filtration, the smell does not move throughout the house.
A tent is generally cheaper than converting a room for growing.
A tent is quicker to set up than converting a room for growing.
Finally, those who rent their homes can take it with them.
I still just don't understand the appeal of the tent, lol... :thumb:

You don't understand the appeal or you don't feel you need one?

I do understand the appeal as Old Salt so ably detailed but I fear all the equipment people are buying to grow may deter new growers or convince people they need much more than they do.

I grow in my basement and by keeping the environment to my liking it is happily good for my plants too and sure if I strictly controlled the environment I could likely get more yield but since I am growing several-fold more than I need I see no point in such a big expenditure. Also, the smell doesn't bother me at all and isn't that bad outside the basement. People who visit say upstairs say they can't smell it.

But the biggest reasons besides what I see as a lot of extra unnecessary cost is that I could not imagine the hassle they are with cleaning them and especially trying to water and trim and such in such a small confined space. When I do anything like that I can just move my reflectors and I have tons of space and have total access. To each their own!! :high-five:

The judges would have also accepted, "a metric fuckton," as a correct response.:laugh::laugh:

Your answer is incorrect since you didn't put it in the form of a question. The correct response would have been "What is a metic Fuckton, Alex". lol

looks like these are finishing earlier than i anticipated..

sitting right on top of the finish....

amber started in on the upper buds. debating if i should chop now or let it run another week.

black indica is the furthest along..

i should probably just take it down no matter what i decide. i had husks in the last run on this and letting them go is probably not such a great idea. certain the light pushed this hard. one run was near 120 days flower on the old light. i'm end of wk 7 / beginning wk 8 and still shy of 60 days on the new one.

hoping i didn't overcook everything lol.

the cbdream are right behind the black indica. probably within the week.

they are enjoying a little late build. check out the new pistils on top.
got three of these and i'm real happy for the meds. my folks are chewing through both the topicals and canna pills faster than i can grow lol.

the master kush has zero amber. its loaded up with cloudy trichomes. don't think this one is gonna amber up.

the fans have completely served their use now lol.

look through the loupe on the master kush

might have to chop this wkend. i'm on shifts and it's tough to get the timing to match up.

everythings been on MC from flip.

yeah a little less.

i was flowering under my veg light. then under one i had for a 2 x 2.
i went from four cobs to twelve. about 6 - 8 would normally be maxed for the space.
jumped from 200 to 600 actual watt.

been running at 90% and coulda pushed too hard.

The temperature in my basement drops below 10°C / 50°C in winter, so that's out as a growing area. My grows, at least in winter, must be in our living space.

My preferred footprint for my tents is 60 X 120cm or 2' X 4' for precisely the reason you stated. I don't have to move the plants, and I can clean and trim them from outside the tent, This is also the reason I question new growers when they want to put a SCRoG in a larger tent. The one plant I have in the Mars Hydro 3' X 3' tent will be put on a Lazy Susan before it is flipped.

The biggest mistake I see new growers make in choosing a tent is their height. Growers lose 2-1/2' or 75cm to the light and their containers, unless they also have a filter above the light. Then it is worse. They lose 3-1/2' or 105cm. Those short tents are only good for mothers and plants from seedling to veg, or a SCRoG. Six feet or 180cm is the minimum height I'd recommend, but I strongly suggest the tallest tent they can get in the room.

Wish I thought that far ahead when getting my 2x4x5  upgrades coming eventually

I made the same mistake. Tents with 2' X 4' floor areas are now available in 7'-8' heights. Gorrilla Tents introduced them, and now clones are available for $180 CAD / $135 USD.

Yep that’s y I stay out of tent or have to take them out cuz there no headroom lol how u Ben brother did u figure out ur setup

I'm good. Been busy, but who hasn't. I do have things sorted. Waitin on some parts. Parts are gettin here over the next couple days, and will all be here by Saturday. My plan was to wait until the holiday weekend to mess with it, but yeah, I'll probably be rippin into it all the minute the last box get here Saturday. Gotta wait on that one, as that's what the buckets is in.

You and me both. The auto run will tide me over, and I picked some good stuff there, but I can't wait to see the hydro runnin for sure.

Next run in the 2nd tent may be dutch buckets. Not 100% sure yet though.

Harvest time for the Cement Shoes. I neglected this plant a little and should have trained her a little better but time was not on my side. I'm still happy with the results and another successful grow with MC!

:Rasta:
Wow Mr S. beautiful girls. I am so guilty of assuming your furniture here now and neglect your grow. my bad mate. No more. Will squeeze in and you wint even know I am there mate , like a little door mouse, all behaved and that !!!!.
great job.

You're correct about the training and I think I was lucky to get what I did with her. I played with several pieces of the GLN line and as you said she didn't burn up. So I know I can tinker with BE and SC and also Calmag(not GLN's) with v1 MC and have good success.
Even better is that you can trust your judgements and logic too. I only play around if I think it will benefit them. Brave pioneering mate.
My Breastmilk grow had me nail biting the whole time till harvest.
