The Mega Crop Thread

Hi Megacrop users. I am on my first grow with mega crop all has been going well one plant has started showing some signs that something's not right. looking for any opinions on what may be going on. One of the Tutankhomun is the one with the problem.

2 Tutankhomun feminized
3 gorilla zkittlez feminized
44 days old topped 3 times
Light schedule 18/6
7 gallon fabric pots
Promix HP
Feeding Megacrop 5 gm/gl
PH 6.0
Temps 66 night 74-78 day
The first pictures of all the plants the pictures after that or of the troubled one. I'm not sure weather to increase or decrease the amount of MC.

Week four, growth really took off after last feed two days ago.

Keeping it simple. One heaping tsp MC per gallon tap water.

Going to try and make seeds with CS. She is a auto. When should I start CS?

If you've grown the strain earlier, start about a week they started flowering last time. If you haven't, start three weeks from when when she pokes above ground, or as soon as you see the first hint of pistils, which ever comes first.

You think I should go straight to 6gm or should I try 5.5 grams first?

i'd go to 5.5 g / gal. about where extended veg seems to sit in a few media.
it's best to go up by .5 g per gal. things can still blow up. approach it slowly. nice to have a bit of head room for flower.
mc kinda tops in the 6.0 - 6.5 g range

Ok thanks will up the dose next watering.

also would get a loupe on a few of those leaves. both sides but would probably concentrate on the back.
see some white spots. possible early mite damage. not a lot and could be nothing, would err on the side of caution though.

I've learned so much from all of you and have enjoyed all the conversation. I just had to create an account and thank you all for the great info. You've saved me a ton of money and headaches by convincing me to switch to mega crop. So, a sincere thanks to all of you.

This is my first ever post here on 420. I hope I'm doing it correctly as I'm not very tech savvy. I've attached a pic of my ladies looking happy and getting their mega crop, thanks to you!

So I dropped to 4.5 grm MC the last 2 waterings and still no reversal of the damn MC lockout. My Mazar's are the worst. But the SODK and the Squatch24 are following right behind them. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. They looked great until 5 grm MC then they went down hill.

I'm not sure why you would think it's an MC lockout if that's all you have been feeding it. It looks like a pH issue to me. What are you pH'ng the nutes at?
Seems funny that all the plants showed the same issues so imo it's not an MC issue. Flushing will do you nothing unless you know what you are doing wrong now.

Do a slurry test on your medium and start from there.

back this up a moment and gives us a quick run down... when was it decided this is a lock out ?
my first gut reaction was they looked hungry...

edit : agree with @MrSauga on possible ph issue as well

the pH range on this stuff is 8.0-5.0.... do we really think he is out of that range?? I am going by my own experience... when I moved up to 6g/g in early flower I got lockouts. I got suggestions that I should flush out the excess Calcium from the soil to get a clean start without lockouts. I went the other way and gradually reduced, and I have solved my lockout... without ever considering pH.

These are my super silver haze (2 in front) and green crack (1 in back) i switched them to megacrop early on in veg, they are on day 3 flower and i haven't had any major issues other than some purple stems and slight calcium def both on the green crack, solved the issue by adding 1ml a gallon ro of calimagic 1-0-0 and 2ml gallon ro silica blast 0-0-0.5to keep the npk ratio correct, currently at 6gs MC a gal. It runs very clean too, witch i love, gonna try it in dwc with the clones i have

2/1/20 day 2 flower
Made up 6 gal of feed ro water
6mls calimagic
12mls silica blast
30gs megacrop
Total ppm 820
Ph 5.9

lol that range is a bit of a stretch. ph rules still apply dependent on media. mc is very clear on this, on both the website, and in any communication they've had with members here.

they are not actually very clear... they make one mention that for optimum nutrient uptake, adjust to your media... and if he is using tap water or RO water mixed with MC, he is going to be right in there where he needs to be. Researching further away than the GLN website informs us that amino chelated nutes work across a much wider pH range than we are used to with synthetic nutes. Let me narrow my statement down a bit more... if he is between 5.5 to 6.8, I don't believe this problem is pH related.

i agree with @MrSauga and @bluter,, and even @Deketx perhaps,, lockout indeed,, if that is the correct term for plants being unable to use the fertilizers provided because the ph range is out of the needed range

deketx's probs look exactly like the issues i was having when my ph pen was out of wack and my ph was consistently 'low'

calibrate and will be great,,

ha,, cheers friend
