The Mega Crop Thread

hi all. Actually we have been registered on this site since 2017, but haven't been active yet. :ganjamon:
I see this thread exists, so possibly we can answer some questions that come up or anything else. We do not currently have any special affiliation with this website should be noted.

Wow... I have just ordered my 160 gallon free sample... this is quite generous! This implies that they have total and complete confidence in their product and to prove its worth they are giving us at least a full grow's worth of their product... probably a couple at the rate I am going right now. I will be starting my next grow soon and I am greatly looking forward to seeing what this new technology can do. I was telling @Vulx today that it is my belief that this modern scientific breakthrough of aminochelates has finally allowed science to achieve dominance over mother nature's natural organic methods. A cannabis specific fertilizer that leaves no debris behind... wow. Total game changer.
And now I've got it on the way. Thanks everyone! Like I said, I was trying to figure out what to use for this run and after some research into how to use it, this might just be the ticket!

Prediction...if your game is to keep it simple, you will be converted....but might get bored with the absolute consistency.

It has always been my goal to find a way to make the growing of this weed as cheap and simple to do as possible, making growing your own medicine a possibility for anyone who needs it. It appears that Mega Crop has just provided the means... and one that can be used with any growing method. I am beyond impressed... I am enthused!

little update on the girls..
pretty sure i cooked one up, will have to see what everyone figgers...

everything is steaming along for the most part. dialed the light back a touch to about 75%. i'm gonna have to remove the shelf units they sit on for a bit of head room. the light is at eighteen inches, maybe a tad under. probably don't want to get any closer.

this is the cbdream corner..

full

they made it thru the blurry phase... :cheesygrinsmiley:
probably the best save ever. these were earmarked for the trash before flip.

everything threw loads more pistils this time out. all are stacking up nicer and maturing faster too boot.. yay nute and light change. everybody looks ok except for the white cookie i blew up.

another angle.. the pistils are just starting to turn

full

the cbdream will probably finish the best. good thing as my parents have discovered the joys of canna health and are going through three times more than i do. they don't even smoke lol.

note the nute tipping. we have pulled the MC back a touch.
currently at 24g to 9L RO. MC only, no calmag or anything else.
6 plants, everyone gets 1500ml.
ppm hovers in the 1400 range. have not gone above 1450.

this is the black indica. looks a bit rougher compared to the cbdream gals right now

full

usually the black indica is stride for stride with the cbdream. while an improvement on the last run, this one won't match what the cbdream are doing. this was one of my workhorses. concerned about replacing it.

closer look at one of the mains

full

it's eating up the big fans as it stacks. it's a few days behind the cbdream but is looking to catch them.

did a minor three wk defoliation. only removed dead or damaged stuff. left pretty much anything the plants were still pulling from. pics are right after i cleaned them up.

big bush of a master kush

full

mislabeled the pic and description when i saved it. do that a lot.

there is a little taco of the leaves here and there which may be light related. only a guess. i'm gonna grab around 4 inches headroom in a few days to see if it helps. have a monster light now and have likely been driving everything a bit hard.

side shot

full

the master kush is all leaf everywhere. should be a real joy to trim. everyone would likely stack better / more if i hadn't space challenged them so bad.

now my white cookies problem child..

full

third run out with this and have not got it right yet. i am crisping the poor thing right up. this one normally takes forever, all of a sudden it's running for the exit. i really dunno what to think.

side view

full

desperately trying to stack, pulling from whatever it can. it stalled on feeding this wk, which i took bad. ran a normal water through, not a flush. seems to be drinking. putting back on feed today, and will see if it is up taking.

it may have just decided to quit on me.

look at the whole thing

full

pistils browning everywhere. if it's simply finishing faster i'll fridge dry if i need to chop ahead of the others.

curious what you guys think.

hola from the jungle.

I ordered the free sample of MC and I’m excited to start using it but a lil nervous because it’s something new for me. I’ve been using Flora Trio with add on’s being Armor Si, Calimagic, liquid seaweed/kelp and during flower Liquid Kool Bloom.
I currently have 6 girls going that have been above ground for 22 days and just entered mild veg stage. I am growing in Mother Earth coco coir with pearlite 70/30 and use RO water and I use Full Spectrum LED lights.
My question is where should I start with the dose (can I actually use the full recommended calculated dose)? Also since I use RO water and am growing in Coco do I need to still use the Calimagic ?

I noticed a cal/mag deficiency at 4gm/gal in coco/perlite using RO water. I used 1/2 the CALiMAGic that I used with the full line up of General Hydroponics' Flora Trio. That fixed it. I'm going to 6gm/gal tomorrow without the CALiMAGic after reading through the posts here. I'll see how that goes.

Found it. They'll send me 500g of it to Canada for $20. Pretty sweet deal.

Not really. The Grow-Op shop sold me 2.5Kg for $35 CDN out the door. (Akerley Blvd, Dartmouth, NS)

I have two remaining problems with MC. It's hard to dissolve the balls, and it falls out of suspension.

I mix up 18l at a time which is just shy of 5 gal. I'll try the heat, and coffee grinder for this. I have one sitting around that was used to grind flower before I got the rosin press.

I'll put the long handled spoon from the wine shop in the grow room and give it a stir before serving. This should take care of MC falling out of suspension.

Ha! A bit if a drive, but that may make it worth it. Doesnt look like they have an online shop.

Give them a call first. If you are around New Glasgow, you missed free delivery. I had to take my wife in for her final check up following total knee replacement today.

How bout southern Ontario?? Great knee docs here.

that leaves no debris behind
There are no leftover ions or salts by the end of the grow?

Not sure where you get your 160 gallon number from as that only works out to 3g/gallon!

When I see any deficiencies I bump the MC by .5g/gallon rather than add something specific to that deficiency. It has worked well for me.

I mix up 3 and 4 gallons at a time using water out of the backyard hose and don't have a problem with mixing or falling out of suspension. Even at 6.5g/gallon. I use an old tree branch to stir it up, and sometimes leave it for days in a milk jug with nothing accumulating on the bottom. Must be my superhuman arms!

That, or my loss of muscle mass. I'm pretty much stuck with water from the RO. Arsenic levels are more than 10 times the maximum allowed. Arsenic is not one of my prescriptions.

Woah! And here we were making plans to move to Halifax for even more than the great grow shops (we actually have been)! Hopefully that's just a temporary issue.

Would one of those paint/mud mixing sticks that attach to a drill help?

I'm out in the boonies, in a gold mining district. I'm on a deep, drilled well, and also had the lack-o-water disease until a few weeks ago. The past few months have been no fun at all.
