The Mega Crop Thread

It meets my criteria of being easy to use, low cost, and good for the plants. Beyond that, at this point I'm unconcerned with the theory behind it. It's the same mentality that most folks that drive have. They don't know how an internal combustion engine works, just that it does.

For sure, to each their own. At the end of the day if it works for me ill use it whether I have it figured out or not. But I am curious and like to learn. Just like how I leaned how an internal combustion engine works ;)...well for the most part

Fed roughly 3.5gr/gallon MC today, ive grinded the balls in a coffee grinder so all is very fine. However, when mixing in a red pail after stirring it for about 30 seconds i still noticed the fine pieces of what im assuming are the balls not dissolving. I stirred it some more and let it sit for about 10 mins and it went away. Point im making is just double check the little balls have fully dissolved before you feed your girls! Only noticed because of the red pail else i dont think i would have noticed.

I don’t think this means that it isn’t a salt based product
MegaCrop has the same salt-based ingredients as other nutes (nitrates, phosphates, and sulfates), but like Felipe mentioned, they are chelated with amino acids rather than EDTA. For anyone looking for information on chelating or salt-based nutrients, @farside05 did a great write up on it here.

I don't see any references specifically to the PH of the water or nutrients though.
Searching the scientific and academic research on pH and plants, you will almost never find a reference to the pH of the water. They refer to the pH of the substrate. You will notice in the article you linked, the reference is always to soil pH.

MegaCrop is a little different - it uses amino acid chelation.

I owe @FelipeBlu one, aparantly as Shed mentioned using amino acids to bind instead of EDTA makes a difference. EDTA is not absorbed and can be toxic to the medium, amino acids are absorbed and beneficial.

Day 24 for these ladies. Upped to 4.5g yesterday, expect to be at 5 very soon especially for the White Rhino. I've been supercropping the heck out of them, or trying to, branches are like solid hard rubber or something, they are right back upright within a couple hours with barely a sign I pinched them pretty much as hard as I could.
