Day 49
Yellow leaves persist.
So CalMag is still being administered. I first dosed them last Saturday (5 days ago) with slightly higher than recommended amounts. But the bottle and hydro peeps assured me that a dosage of about 1tbsp per gallon would be perfectly safe for a plant that has been deficient for weeks now. They also brought up that a small dose is quite similar to the mineral proportions of well water. Which got me thinking that I should be adding mineral salt amendments back to my RO water in the first place since that process removes almost all minerals in the water. Something to think about for the future I suppose.
Its getting frostier and frostier. I have to say I was a little worried about Afgooey ultimately being a GHSC product. But it has actually turned out quite well. It flew right out of the gates from the beginning. It has the smell, the structure, and hopefully in about a months time it will have the smoke. Its gone from that deep rubbery skunk to a heavy frosting of sweet citrus tones. Maybe a leftover from its Hawaiian lineage? The two girls now smell more similar than not. But C99 maintains that mango candy aroma which distinguishes the two from each other.
Trichomes are getting cloudier as a whole, with perhaps a few amber ones here and there. I think we are about 10-15 days from entering the chunk phase where the plants start to really fill out. From that point I would estimate another 2 weeks. But we will see. I will not jump the gun. These girls will be perfect.
edit: of course I didn't tell you that I did a drench tonight. Same drench [2tsp kelp, about 1tsp fish, about 1tsp molasses, + 1tsp Cal/mag] to 1000ml.
I watered with another 1000ml of straight RO after that because they want it. They want it.
