The Legion Of Doob: Perpetual Chaos

Congrats on the haul Doob

Blueberry didn't look so good. I've let plants dry out too much; that looks like something else.

Whats on deck??
I think as soon as it started to get too dry the whiteflies infested it. The leaves were covered in sticky stuff, which I think was whitefly honeydew or whatever, and I think it suffocated to death.

On deck I’m undecided. Going to jar and sample the goods in the next couple days, then I’ll decide, but probably not Blueberry . I actually just put both Blueberry clones to flower so whatever happens happens.

The It’s It Punch didn’t have a lot of smell or flavor when I jar’d it but it’s getting a bit more fruity with the cure. It’s got a good upper high but I feel a bit disappointed with it considering how great it looked.

To deal with the remaining whiteflies I started a full blown insect war in my tents. I released 1500 ladybugs, 500 lacewing eggs, and 5 praying mantis eggs. I’m scared every time I open the tent, but haven’t seen anything except ladybugs so far. The whiteflies seem a lot less active now. They must’ve just loved that Blueberry cause the rest seem mostly fine.

Lacewings are active here in our outdoor gardens. I don't see many pests out there.
Some plants are pest magnets. The pests that leave honeydew are the worst. They suck then stick to the plants. Won't even wash off.

GL with your next round. IIP - I've tried it several times from a few different sources - always has a very fruity flavor with a light fruit smell. The taste is a lot stronger than the smell. Good weed too.

I'm partial to weed that tastes like diesel fuel and smells like an old beat up PT bus, or cookie dough. lol

Me too. This Unknown #1 is my jam, I really wish I cloned it. Just rolled up two joints of it as the GF is getting coffee, just to get day day going right. The other two Unknown OG decedents also have that fuel stench going on so I can’t wait.

Good to know the IIP tastes stronger than it smells, I haven’t really smoked it a lot to test.

Hi Doob. Glad the watering breakdown wasn’t more widespread :thumb: the survivors look fantastic. I thought your gummies looked really good. Very neat actually, especially considering you say you’re mr messy :D
It's kind of nice for them to gravitate to a single plant. I tend to get one plant infestation at a time as well.
We nearly always have one in the veggie garden, a plants that gets it all - usually while ever they Ing else is fine. We call it “the fall guy”.

Got everything all jar’d up and stored. It feels good to have a good full larder for the winter.

The It’s It Punch looks as good dried as it did growing.

Just rolled one up and ate 10 gummies from my almost perfected recipe. Should be a good Saturday, although I’ve got to work tonight at 9:00.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Nice stash of jars there bud. That should keep you busy for a little while.

Larder?? Had to look it up, thinking I already asked you what it was.

Thought it had something to do with like bacon wrapped around a roast beef or something??? So confused now. lol.

I got no idea why I even typed it like that. I think it’s something I heard in old westerns and stuff, people had to fill their larder with salted meat (lard maybe?) and canned veggies to stock up for the winter. I figured it was just like a big storage cellar or something.

Lard had something to do with it. Remember those crocks many had before refrigeration? One of the things they were used for was to store sausage for the winter. They'd load them up with as many sausages as possible, and then cover them with rendered pork fat, which is lard. They'd be stored in the cold cellar, and you'd dig out what you needed.

We used to do this every fall when we slaughtered a hog or two. Processing the meat, smoking the ham, rendering the fat, and making sausages was a lot of work.
