Here is the last of 4. The @Barney's Farm, OG Kush. 2 were grown out for 244g. They were the first to be ready. This strain gets me pretty loaded, it reminds me of the old school Thai stick weed. So far I haven't smoked much.

Tuesday, 5 @Barney's Farm auto beans were put in paper towels to germ. 3 Runts and 2 of the Wedding Cake. They were 2 years old so I started all I had, today all 5 have tails. The plan is to grow out a couple outside. I've grown the Runtz before but never the Wedding Cake.
And the adventure begins!

Yesterday the germed beans were put in soil under a 100w bar light in the tent with a humidifier. Today, 4 of the 5 were up & sprouted. I'm confident the 5th will be up soon. After a couple weeks in the tent they will be grown outside.

Today will be day 1 for the autos. Last night I could just see the last seed head poking up, this morning it had sprouted. All dropped their helmets, no stuck beans. There was a membrane that didn't loosen and needed to be removed. All good now. The best 2 or 3 will be uppotted into 30 liter growbags for the greenhouse outside.
Somehow? I developed a painful tendon condition or problem in my right wrist and thumb. Its called, de Quervain tenosynovitis. Its gotten bad! I've tried using my hand less
, wearing a brace and waiting it out. No luck. Its time to schedule the surgery for while the autos grow outside.

Hi Trala, thank you. It should be a simple, outpatient procedure with a relatively short recovery time. I was just hoping it would get better on its own. No such luck. Lets disband the HTCHi King Barney!

Its day 3. With just the 1, 100w LED bar at 50cm they were reaching a bit too much for the light. Yesterday the light was adjusted down to 40cm and they appear to have stopped reaching. The spread for the 1 bar covers the row fine, but having 2 bars did more than double the coverage. All good now at the 40cm.

Its day 6 since sprouting, it seems like they should be further along. The main stems are going from clear to green. Once the stalks harden they should take off. A couple look like they might already be praying.
Healthcare is funny, Dr. said I needed surgery on my hand. I said I want to see if it improves. Now, I called to schedule the surgery and he wants to see me again in a month before scheduling anything.

Congrats on the recent harvests Stinker. The flowering buds of the OG Kush look amazing, and the young ones are soon to take off. Sorry to hear about the hand issues but all the best with any surgery.

Sprouts! When do you call it? Grow Day No. 1. For me - Day 1 is at the first sign of green. If the seed and membrane are off, its day 1. I see so many interpretations for when to count.
Same with flower. I count from flip day. Otherwise it seems so open to interpretation. First pistil? On 1 or all plants? Pom Poms?
Not saying anyway is wrong. Just curious what others do.

I do the same within a couple days. Otherwise they're stragglers. Your girls are looking very nice.- Outside if wet, I try not to water. I also include a medium dose of epsom salts every 3/5 weeks @ 1tbs per gal.

It could be my imagination but autos seem a little slower. I'm calling today, day 8. The main stalks are starting to firm up. Up to this stage I try to keep the soil spongy-damp throughout by using a sprayer and dripping or splashing liquids. Tonight they will be fully watered and allowed to dry for the 1st time.

Lots of posts! Its day 9. First, the day was started with some G13 Haze. Then I removed the 100w, LED and the 600w was lowed down to replace it. It has red in it. It was adjusted to 65% or 390w and 50cm. I like the Haze! Happy Sunday

On a roll now! Yesterday it was sunny. Approximately 85 liters of old soil was measured out using a 30l grow bag. It was well flushed before drying. Added was organic compost, worm castings and a Pre-Mix that also contains trace elements and fungi for a bit over 100 liters. The bags were watered to cook a bit before needed. The plan is to transplant into the bags next weekend.
Its nice to have the opportunity to switch to organic, even if out of a bottle. It should count. There are a lot of bottles!
