Those of us who practice bud washing question the sanity of those who don't. Hahaha! That doesn't sound snobby at all, does it?

Seriously, if you check out any pictures of the water in our buckets, particularly from the first wash with lemon juice and baking soda in a food-grade bucket and aren't convinced, then I don't want to smoke what you're offering. Just sayin'. I'd rather offer you some of my clean and sweet harvest as a friendly alternative.

Did that answer your question? :laughtwo:

The simple answer is "try it, you won't regret it". My answer was more entertaining. :battingeyelashes:

The expansion thing? It NEVER ends. You should know that upfront. You've been warned.
Yeah the buds do look better after a wash and the buckets are a mess . I am gonna try it definatly. Only one week to wait for my tent still deciding on which led I want.

Quick question Sue. The wife and I received some change from the wedding. And have a little extra fund available.

We're in the market for a carbon air filter and I don't even know where to begin. How did you go about getting yours? And who did you choose? And what do you think?

Sending lots of love,
The Birdman!

Damn Sue i just wanted to see your second closet grow. It took me about 100 pages in the second started journal just to see a picture, i just started clicking 10 pages at a time. You move the journal to here and I don't know what plants are what anymore. Too many things going on at one time and I can hardly follow along anymore.

I consider it a work of art :)

My second closet grow was quickly overcome by the additions of the tent, the light and the change to perpetual. Yeah, that second journal was a lot of pages. I had over 60 subscribers, which explains a lot. A note to help you out Cruizer; there's a "Search Thread" button at the top of the page, right under the heart. If you type in "Daily Update" you'll be able to find most of the pictures, since most are included in the update. A couple pages back there was a picture of the seeds with the final revised list. That post will tell you who's planted where.

It's only confusing until they're growing and they become personalities instead of just names Cruizer. I'm sure you can figure it out. The Tiny Closet has been pressed back into service as a veg area, to feed into the tent, which always runs on an 11/13 light schedule. Inside that tent are the tiny pots that sit on SWICK trays. There are 6-8 pots on each tray, one tray gets added every month, three trays to a complete cycle.

There will be up to 20 or so tiny SWICKed pots, split between HB Kit soil and LOS, one 7 gallon LOS pot and one 7 gallon HB pot at any given time (once the HB 7 gallon gets planted). It's a perpetual system that will run like that indefinitely as I search for the strains that work best for myself and my daughter.

Did I help to counter your confusion?

Sue.....? You got this one!? :blunt:

Hi SweetSue,

I think I incorrectly posted this in another members journal ... sorry!

So I can assume if one is looking for the ultimate in sleep assistance that Dark Devil is not the correct strain? I'm already of hyper mind and have a chance to grow a Dark Devil from seed, but not sure I need to be more speedy, especially of mind!

Sorry Dale didn't get a chance to sample it, but perhaps raise the last gram high in his memory upon consumption. I've read through a decent portion your journal and I offer my condolences on your loss. Also, big props to you on living through and with your grief, it is a strange journey. I really don't know you, but I do appreciate the magnitude of your loss as I too have walked many miles with heavy grief. May the best of Karma smile upon you throughout your journey, I think you just may have earned it as the loving caretaker.

Do you have a fan already Pigeons? Here's the filter I purchased to go with my 6" Ostberg fan. Such a thing of beauty. The flange is necessary to connect the filter to the fan and the variable speed control is needed to extend the life of your fan. Keep it at 80% or less.

I'm not sure what size you'd need Pigeons. My recommendations would be to consult with our favorite electrician. Hey Duggan, can you take this? :battingeyelashes:

Ya , got it Sue....P420....get the exact combo Sue has with any speed controller for motors. They run around 20-25 bones. The fan /filter combo Sue and i both have is the shit brotha. Make sure to follow Sue's lead when she says keep it at 80% or less but not below 70%....that's not good for the motor in the fan. I recomended an Ostburg fan cuz that's what i have and it's pretty much bullet proof...i've bin running mine for 30 months 24/7/365 and it's great, nice and quiet and reliable. Running it at 70% will keep the noise down a bit and help it last longer plus sizing it like we did means ya don't have to have it SCREAMING to do the job. Hope this helps P420! Cheers brotha :thumb:

Pigeons if you have any specific questions feel free to p.m me I Don't want to hijack your thread sue. But I should be able to answer any questions you have from plumbing to electrical to reccomended brand .... sorry it's been a while sue I have been elsewhere my heart goes out to you.

Atrain...hows all ? Are you dual ticketed?
I'm a journeyman sparky....since mid eighties....cheers.

I've been working on this since around 1:30 when I discovered I'd left my iPhone sitting on the front step and was privileged to pay someone a $20 "reward" to get it back. It wasn't the money, it was the fact that it was the phone Dale had used. I'd switched it out when he died, so it was one of those connections I'd held onto. The shock of almost losing that had me sitting against the front of the bank clutching the retrieved phone like it was a lifeline and sobbing uncontrollably for who knows how long before a friend spotted me and got me headed home again.

Grief. What a pain sometimes. *sigh*

Anyway, I got the phone back, thank goodness. I'm glad it got "returned "so quickly, but it took a lot out of me emotionally. I personally wouldn't want this guy's karma.

Enough of that, let's speak of more enjoyable things, like growing some seriously potent and easy-to-grow cannabis. I came up with a new term for us - you guys will appreciate this. I think of us as The Elite Cannabis Obsessed. :laughtwo: We're not happy with just growing weed, we expect much more than that. That's why we choose the soils we do. That's why we pump money into things like good lighting and top-quality fans and filters. We're a spoiled lot and proud of it.

Daily Update: Perpetual Tent - Week 10

Environmental monitoring finds us solid. Pigeons, are you paying attention? Since I installed this fan and filter I've not had to even think about it.

I think I'm going to be able to keep her going through her next watering, but it looks like the top may need to be sacrificed to give the lower part more light and get the top before it degrades. I'm planning on letting it go until the pistils begin to noticably pull in.

Cheese Candy (Day 62)

Look at the way she's loading the blossoms on. WooHoo! :slide:

Auto Destroyer (Day 62) She got her first CAT drench today, 5ml of CAT and .5 of Tea. Soaked her real good and she took every last bit of it.

image28442.jpg

image28443.jpg

The seeds are still hidden from view. Last planting the HB seeds shot out of the soil at day three. Excited!!

image28444.jpg

One last glance back before it gets closed up.

image28445.jpg

Aside from CAT drenching Auto Destroyer, my time in the tent was spent lavishing attention on the girls, enjoying their perfumes and simply being amazed that they've come so far. I have much higher expectations for the new cycle.

Get out there and spread some joy guys. I insist! :laughtwo:

When I started this update I was feeling wounded and morose. Not so much any more. What a wonderful hobby, eh? :battingeyelashes: After dinner maybe I'll stroll down to the labyrinth. I missed it two days in a row now and that feels wrong. Nah, I'll get there tomorrow. The last thing I need as I heal is to become dependent on a walk.

Have a wonderful rest of your day. I know I'm going to do my best from here. The daughter brought me pizza and brownies. Mmmmmmm. She's such a good kid. Her mother raised her right. :laughtwo:

:Namaste:

Edit: I fell asleep there guys and just woke up to realize I totally forgot to list that the Kit Girls all got a foliar of DeStress early this morning.

Can't believe I forgot that. Must have been the disruption of the "reward".

You can't hijack this journal. These types of conversations are a valuable resource for the site IMHO. Thanks for jumping in to help. Thanks for the condolences too Atrain. I'm healing well. The community has helped enormously in that regard.

Sue....getting a lil warm in there eh at 84F. That would be my limit....all else lookin tasty girl! Cheers.

Oops! Forgot to mention that Duggan. When I saw the temperature reading I realized I hadn't increased the speed of the fan to compensate for the CFLs. We should see improvement tomorrow.
