They both clone well and are worth a second run.
\Now I just need to figure out what to do.
Cloning is easy. Here is what I did:
Materials Needed
- Sharp scissors.
- Shot glass
- Solo cups
- Razor blade
- Rapid Rooters, Jiffy pellets, or Rockwool
- Small bag of Perlite
- Clonex Rooting Gel, Miracle Grow Fast Root, or a similar rooting compound
- Bottle of distilled water
Instructions
- Choose several lower branches from which to take clones. The stems should be 3mm or larger and the leaves should look healthy.
- Use scissors to cut the stem at a 45-degree angle about 4-6" from the top leaves. Trim off any lower leaves and nip the tips off of the upper leaves. This will encourage the clone to focus it's energy into making roots instead of growing leaves.
- Put the clones into a Solo cup filled with 2" of distilled water.
- Place the clones under the canopy of the mother to soak for 24-hours.
- To make rooting cups, fill each Solo cup with 1" of perlite, place a Rapid Rooter in the cup, add perlite to fill in the gaps around the Rapid Rooter, and then add 1/4 cup of distilled water.
- After the clones have soaked for 24-hours, filled a shot glass half full with rooting compound and pour a little rooting compound into the hole of each Rapid Rooter.
- Dip the razor blade in rooting compound and then lightly scrape the bottom 1.5" of each clone stem.
- Dip the clones in rooting compound, then place each clone into a Rapid Rooter.
- Lightly water each clone.
- Place the clones 1-2' under a low-intensity light and wait for roots.
Roots normally start appearing 1-3 weeks after cutting the clones. It's really just a waiting game at this point. Try to keep the temperature between 65-80'F and the relative humidity over 50%. If the leaves start to look dry, spray the top and bottom of the leaves with distilled water several times daily. If the rapid rooters start to dry out, add 1/4 cup of water. You can leave the clones in these cups for a month or more before transplanting them into soil or a hydroponics system.
My setup and clones:
After placing the clones in the Rapid Rootes with Clonex.
14-days after placing the clone in a Rapid Rooter.
Most of the clones have rooted, but I'll keep them in the rooting cups for another week or so until I'm ready to transplant them into soil.
As always, you got it going on girl!
You're gonna be drowning in ganja in a few short months my friend. Yes....I am jealous!!
Kind of the way I'm jealous of Ziggy. I'm so excited about watching this happen the way I had intended, before the death spiral. The sense of relief, of moving forward, is somewhat heady. I've been singing and dancing through the apartment as the coffee brews.
Is there anything , aside from the smell of our plants blooming of course, that smells better than fresh ground coffee beans? I don't think so.
6AM brew coffee, add thick crema, light joint, sip, feel morning sun on my face and watch a couple squirrels run around our pine tree.
Coffee and weed go together extremely well. Add some bacon jam and a few toast points and you could upset the balance of the world.
But it's about time I took my daily routine back to the Yerba Mate, in the gourd, with the silver bombadilla. Seriously, check out the Mate/Weed combo sometime.

Bacon would definitely be up there in the top 3.
You got that cupboard turned around quickly SweetSue
Man that African Buzz is REALLY swelling up!
Yes it is CC. She's amazing, for such a little thing. She's 100% Sativa. My introduction to Sativas, so she can just keep packing it on.
