The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

Daily Update:Perpetual Tent - Week 21, Day 5

Maintenance notes:
- Everyone, including the no-tills, got a watering of a light TransWater, mixed at 1/4 strength. I mixed up extra, watered all the Kit plants first and then used the leftover water for the LOS pots.

That was it for today. I'm trying to stay out of their way as much as possible, keep the tent closed up tight and let everything cook.

Callanetics will have to wait. The daughter just got a store on the other side of town to hold a Dr. Who Lego set for her and we have an evening of busses ahead. This was my hope for a Christmas present for her and it turned up on the day money became available. I just love it when the universe and I are on the same page. :laughtwo:

Have a wonderful day everyone. Fill it with love and laughter. It's your choice, so get out there and spread that joy.

Just two days left.

dang right.. priorities lol. and wow how the times have changed. we just had plain ol' lego sets. the only way things got interesting was to incorporate a water rocket or a GI Joe with kung fu grip and a hang glider into the mix.

be safe out there sweet lady!

Thank you. I took the time to test some Carnival before I left. I'm still getting used to vapor as opposed to smoke. That was the smoothest ever. Lungs filled and no problem at all. Tasty popcorn-flavored residue. A most pleasant traveling buzz. :battingeyelashes: I can tell she's going to be a spectacular high, fully cured. :slide:

*giggle* I'm having so much fun. Hours on the bus means time to catch up on threads or write or both! Yeah, I like both. Let's start with notifications. See you around the neighborhood. :ciao:

I've been thinking about the drying that needs to happen before I leave town next Friday and I've come to the conclusion that my best bet is to hang it in the tent and let the fan and filter work for me. I need to get the tent down before I go, but I can do that in a couple hours the last night here.

It suddenly occurred to me that if I hang that much out to dry in the open rooms you're going to smell it on the street and through the hallways of the building. Not as good a thing as it might sound like. Hahaha!

Any thoughts or pointers anyone would like to share?

Outside of the tent, ill throw the same suggestion you gave me once, plus alittle, back atcha..

Onions, garlic and peppers.
I made a pest concoction early on. Stunk myself out of my home. Smelt like someone made a fancy dinner, over powering heat and garlic for 30hrs.
..thats gotta cover some herb smell?

That concoction was sprayed, and bottled up. The aroma from that was 30+..

Better, have a post turkeyday dinner everyday until you fly:laughtwo:

I once made a concentrated garlic spray To combat the aphid infestation covering the Japanese Lacy-leaf maple on our balcony. We smelled like a pizzeria for days. :laughtwo: Baking and cooking isn't such a bad idea DankWolf. :battingeyelashes:

To cover up the smell outside of your abode, start growing aromatic herbs and spices. Stuff like lavender, catnip, mint, dill, sage, rosemary, etc.

Thanks GoldenEagle. These are excellent choices and I used to have all of those growing in my garden. I now live in a third-floor apartment with a balcony. Sweet woodruff is another to consider.

Thankfully, even if I had to have it drying out in the rooms I'm top floor and the apartment below mine is rented by my brother-in-law. No one would complain. I'm not going to risk it though and dry in the tent.

I want to be worried about how strong my harvest smells while it's drying! *giggle*

Grats on such a wonderful problem to be worried about :D

I'm not sure if this applies to the wonderful smell of ripe cannabis, but our friend The Unconventional Farmer says that the Lactobacillius serum you made will fight off household odors. Maybe you could give the place a spray down before you leave.

You'll relish every minute of it! LOL! Thank you :laughtwo: I've noticed I'm laughing a lot more recently. Hahaha! Ahhh.... Life is sweet.

Thank you Cy. I was getting ready to do the malted barley grain sprouted seed tea, thinking "What did I leave out?" When your post popped up in front of me and screamed "LABS!" I added the serum too. You saved me Cy. Good timing Bud. :high-five:

Back to the tent. :ciao:

Oooooo..... Great shot. Had to share.

I love the way you can see under the leaf. Such elegant line. The sweep of that curl makes my blood run hotter. Line, light, texture....... You do realize this is a big art project for me? :laughtwo:

I need something to eat. I've been lost in the art and practice of gardening all morning now. Coffee! Must have coffee. :battingeyelashes:

Hahaha! I just got a text from a friend to go out to lunch instead. How timely. Wait! That's the second time this morning. Hmmmm...... I'll contemplate that later. Gotta get dressed and get out the door. I'll catch up later. Ooooo...... This is the friend with the fruitcake. Oh my goodness, I may swoon.

Later. :ciao:

I will miss your updates while you are gone. On the plus side, I will be able to get through my threads in 1/2 the time!!! :) :circle-of-love: :peace:

On the plus side, I'll finally catch up on my subscription notifications, and possibly find a more responsible strategy. :laughtwo:

Time to run.

Dark Devil Auto #3 ( Day 72)

Such an intriguing little specimen. Tiny, yet perfectly formed in every way. And the colors..... This soil with lots of light should give me a much larger and more vigorous plant the next run.

Jamaican Dream ( Day 87)

She's put up a valiant effort, despite my abuse in trying to fry her more than once.
