The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

I've been to Jamaica. She makes me remember that trip. I look in here and I relive the drive up through the rainforest to the mountain plateau.

Drenches: Dark Devil Auto (Day 38)

This is one of my other specimens of Dark Devil Auto, also in kit soil, at 25 days. How can they be so different?

I guess they're not so different, except the poor color on the younger one. She just got her transplant drench. The next one should be TransWater. I'm thinking if color doesn't improve by then do a Growth Energy instead? Any opinions?

The sad specimen in the foreground is a beautiful Desert Rose that will, at some point, rebound and reward my nearly killing it AGAIN by doing a spectacular bloom. This poor plant spends winters in my daughter's apartment, with south-facing windows, but then doesn't get watered. It's been saved every year because I move it outdoors at the earliest opportunity and the planet herself with the help of the sun revives it.

This year that didn't happen. I decided to find it a corner in the tent. It can survive nicely on the ambient light bouncing off the reflective walls. When it blooms it will lend an air of elegance even the cannabis can't compete with. Tomorrow I'll rearrange the interior and give it a space all its own.

Edit: This was also the point in time where the switch on that gooseneck lamp I love so much broke, making it a worthless piece of s**t!!!

Nectar For the Gods and Dragonfly Earth Medicine are both reputable bottled "organic" nutrient companies with huge support groups. I know of individuals testing different Fermented Plant Extracts and soil mixes. Many organic growers are growing nutrient dense / high brix cannabis. Some farms are testing every input, runoff, all parts of the plant, and even the ash.

Sue, have you checked out the Modern Microbe Mix at BAS? Have you looked into Earthboxes, gro-kashi, or LABS?

Thank you for the back up info 36. Always good to get your informed voice in the mix. I want to incorporate the gro-kashi, just waiting for funds to recover from my grief-initiated disaster. Probably next month. I've known for quite a while that I was missing an important piece of the puzzle by not incorporating fermented elements to the mix.

I have not checked out the Modern Microbe Mix yet 36, so thanks for that head's up. I'm going to be putting together an order for them later this month and may include that in there. Earthboxes is new to me - let me google that.

I've been thinking about what I posted earlier about wanting to grow plants this alive, and every time I think it I see flashes of your grow and flashes of BB's grows and laugh. It's only a matter of time before I get my own soil tuned in, now that I know I'll be working exclusively in the LOS. As much fun as this experience has been, it's been a distraction from my first passion and I know I need the stability of one approach. LOS is my passion. I need to get back to it.

I leave the job of enticing growers to the Kit in the capable hands of the many successful cultivators doing just that with their own exciting grows. After all, it was Graytail's exquisite beauties that drew my attention in the beginning.

PeeJay, when the dust settles I suspect SweetSue will be happily growing predominately autos in her closet of choice with the occasional photo for grins and challenge, all grown in LOS, bigger plants in no-tills. The plan is perpetual. I have lots more lights now. :slide:

Give me six months. :battingeyelashes:

Gawd, I love a tight syncopated rhythm. This "Never Let You Go" by INXS kicks. Yes, I am stoned. Have you seen what I grow? :laughtwo:

It's always a sad thing when the last drop of coffee falls out of the thermos.

Wow! That Modern Microbes Mix is incredible! I'll be looking closer at product info, but I was impressed enough that it's already in the cart.

Thanks 36. You're so handy. :laughtwo:

I have a hard time going to the BAS site. My cart fills too quickly. LOL!

Sue, google Everwood Farm. Far superior to the BAS gougers. This is not a penis joke! Honest.

I believe you PeeJay, but it will be one now. :laughtwo:

Thanks PeeJay. I pulled up the site and I'll give them a look through. I appreciate the heads up.

Make it a joke if you want Sue... BTW I purchased the phallic pipe for the Cheese plate photo in my NOTM entry special for the photo.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I swear PeeJay, you're one of my favorite playmates!!

He's had me laughing uproariously all evening and it's the strangest thing. My oblique abdominals, well, all the abdominals actually, have strengthened significantly over the past two sessions of Callanetics and laughing feels completely different and very cool.

Amazing how it keeps changing. Walking feels at once lighter and more powerful. Laughing is filled with new sensation that adds to the joy. Sitting in the floor becomes the preferred option. I'm likin' this a lot.

"PeeJay, you little shit!"

SweetSue

You dredge up that stuff? Gunny sacking is not permitted on these premises. If you ever catch me doing it, call me on it. This time you get away with it because it was a term of endearment, 'cause I love you, you little shit. :circle-of-love:

See how I did that? Love conquers all. :battingeyelashes:

Any flavor you want. You make me laugh. I like that in a traveling companion. You can have two. But eat one before we get back in the car. :laughtwo:

SweetSue, I've enjoyed reading your journals. I've been sending positive vibes your way when I read these. I'm a greenhorn to this side of gardening, but you and Doc have helped me tremendously. My heart and life's work is in the service of the people around me. In particular, social programs that provide healthy food, medicine, and spiritual guidance for people in need. I just want to say thank you for sharing your experiences and heart with us on 420. I'm on board for this and any future grows that you have. I'm definitely subbing in on this!
:bravo:

Well, aren't you the sweetest thing? And here you caught me with a fresh and friendly Sativa buzz going! Lucky you. :laughtwo: :hugs:

I'm glad you decided to step out of the edges Iprfr2xx. I just got the username. :laughtwo: More attractive as a fellow human by the minute. Thank you for the lovely compliment. It's wonderful that you've gotten some joy from my writings. They let me keep going, which is so nice, because by now I'm just addicted to the work of building the community.

If there's ever anything I can do to help you get more out of our community you have only to ask. I expect you to jump into the fray on occasion now. The power of this site is in the diversity of our voices. I like the sound of yours, filled with vision and compassion. You'll fit in here well.
