The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

image33714.jpg

Anyone ever try to reveg a kit plant? Is this even possible? I would think so, and I have nothing to lose by trying, but I understand it would take some special thought. It just looked like an interesting experiment.

Morning Ms. Sue.

Good morning Cajun. I can't believe I missed my favorite mountain man. Maybe I'll track you down later, since it's the weekend. You have a wonderful day, hear? :hugs:

Instead of a breakfast brownie I'm testing this piece of the AJHxAA I took down yesterday. This is a small piece that I flash dried last night. It tastes deliciously fruity, even as a flash dry. There's a sweetness on the lips after the hit and the fingers taste mildly of grape(?).

Can you believe the color in this? I think there might be a potential NOTM in that specimen and I need to keep that in mind as I do a final trim to jar.

Loads into the bowl sooo pretty. :laughtwo: I'm a visual artist as well. These things matter. I just squeezed in under that fourth hit, which took me by surprise when it exploded in my lungs. Let me load the fifth now, or I won't be able to, 'cause I can feel this climbing in the most delicious way. :laughtwo:

Burns sweet and clean, a staple of produce grown using Doc Bud's Kit. Even given the consistent quality of my LOS produce, I must say the kit has been across-the-board consistent in this regard. My no-till has been sketchy so far, but improving. This clean ash residue is a big consideration for me. It speaks to a higher level of health in the growing plant and should be the goal of every one of us. This kit has delivered these results 100% of the time in my experience. I know for a fact that I am not alone.

image33734.jpg

Alrighty then. It took longer to connect the dots on that last passage, so let me take this last hit and wait to feel the effects, so I can share before I post. If I'm not back ........... :laughtwo:

I bravely took a sixth too. I won't be getting off the floor for a while. You think I jest. Hahaha! Dead serious here, or as serious as one can be laughing this hard. What was I thinking? There's no water to drink nearby! :laughtwo:

Obviously, using the kit more in line with its intentions has paid off with improved product. Oh Yeah. :slide:

This is the AJHxAA next to my Cheese Candy. It's becoming a series of colorful harvests. I like that a lot. :blunt:

Haven't yet, but yes I believe it's possible. I don't think Doc will mind. Call it 2nd run soil.

Oh, and talk to Sorenna, she revegged and didn't even mean to.

Oh, and top of the morning/afternoon to you!

Thank you. She'll get excited. :laughtwo: I'll give the process deeper thought when I get back from the store.

Destined for the freezer bag of goodness.

Tomorrow she'll get hung out here in the hallway with AJH x AA.

image33731.jpg

Need to make a run to the store before I post the next segment. I still have transplanting waiting for me. AWK!!! Who loaded me with responsibility? :laughtwo:

:ciao:

Is that bag seed I spot with my eyes?

I have no idea where that seed came from. How funny that MysterySeeds himself should be the one to spot my mystery seed? :laughtwo: I noticed it there yesterday, when I had a piece of African Buzz out as well. I need to go back through pictures and see how long it's been there. Seeds aren't something I expect to see on this tray.

It's a nice-looking seed though, eh? Looks to be a male, but I'd need to check under the magnifier.

Hey guys, look! I have a choice. :laughtwo:

SweetSue's Selections

Upper left corner, Auto Jock Horror x Auto Amnesia. Lower left corner, Cheese Candy. On the right

image33741.jpg

Auto Jack Herer, possibly the smoothest thing I have ever smoked. Every hit brings the thought of silk on the throat and a silky slipstream that runs through the body and mind. Whoa! Unbelievable smoke, and this is still a bit damp. The rest of this dries and cures. This is something special.

image33742.jpg

Back in the beginning someone said he was unimpressed with this auto. I can only imagine it's the medium. This knocked me over every hit. I need to go out and I'm considering another. Weighing the options. It's brisk, a cool breeze. Cat Stevens charming my auditory senses through the earbuds. I won't be going far or for long. Oh Girl, just take the hit.

Alright then. That was sweet. Hints of exotic spices. Hmmmm. And there goes that smoooooth again. Wow!

Off I go. :ciao:

I forgot to post this. It's the perfect day for this shirt. :battingeyelashes:

.

Having dinner out. The perfect venue to represent.

Food I didn't have to prepare, priceless.

SweetSue, enjoy your dinner out, maybe a nice Rib Eye with garlic mash potats and a brisk spring salad? Anyhow enjoy girl! Cheers eh...:circle-of-love:

Thank you Duggan. I'm a cheaper date than that. :laughtwo: I've been tasting this one for days. Baked potato, swimming in butter, smothered in cole slaw and drowned in brown gravy. My all-time favorite comfort food meal. Mmmmm. Hit the spot. Now a cup of coffee with a slice of this pumpkin cake they have a promotion on.

Life is sweet. That Auto Jack Herer is one fine smoke.

I am soooooo stoned it would be scary if I didn't love the way it feels. LOL! I could definitely get used to this.

Jack Herer:tokin:

Hi Sue....
Hope you don't mind; I thought I might get a bit serious for a second and share with you some song lyrics:

The seed is planted. Let the roots reach far and wide.
Let it grow tall. Let the rings remain intact on the inside.
And though the autumn brings a fall of leaves (let it grow tall),
We come anew. We come anew. We come anew.

The song is Drumhead Trial by Protest The Hero, from the album Volition.

Ironically relevant for any number of reasons (every time I hear this I think of growing weed); I guess my interpretation of the song is basically no matter how hard life seems, storms do pass and the world is frequently beautiful in spite of itself or of the hardships of individuals. You just gotta stand fast and take it as it comes. The above lyrics just really cement that whole theme for me..
My Dad recently went through similar situation as yourself, although it happened much, much faster. His wife and virtually constant companion of 30 years (step-mum) was diagnosed only 2 months before she went... My Baby-boomer ex-cop 1950's tough-guy Dad was devastated and a little lost for a while. He's getting better; keeping busy etc but he's lonely and still a bit bewildered.
Anyway don't wanna bring you down or anything like that; the point I guess is inspiration/affirmation can be found anywhere, even in the lyrics of the songs of Canadian prog-metal bands...! (If there are any Canuck PTH fans out there, 'The Mist' always makes me wanna go see Newfoundland..), and I see yours in your garden..
I just happened to be out scavenging leaves this morning for my compost and heard this song in the car and for some reason I just had to come home and share.... I sometimes still get that adolescent, life changing shiver of joy when I hear music I like... I've been a metal head for a long time and the power of the music; the intricacies of the riffs (also check out Periphery); the surprising sensitivity of some lyrics.. Still gets me at 44.. I love some classical music for the same reason (violins/string-sections really rip at my heart; think the theme from Platoon.. Awesomely sad piece of music)
You may not like heavy music but check out Protest The Hero...they make great (funny) videos also.

Nice to see your life is percolating and bubbling up more than ever Sue. If that's the GHS Jack Herer you're smoking- it was probably me that was unimpressed with the strain- but coulda been the hell it went through before I harvested that did it. It wasn't the auto version. I gave it away to some people and they gave it back!!!!. Imagine giving back free herb! And no they weren't the type that's normally fussy either! And you wonder why I'm humble about my growing skills, lol...Nice shirt by the way..

Daily Update:Perpetual Tent - Week 12, Day 6

Maintenance notes:
- Harvested Auto Jack Herer (Day 80).
- Decided to reveg the rootball, so I gave it a light but thorough Growth Energy drench.

Let's see what's left to cover. Today was a fairly light gardening day. Tomorrow will probably make up for it. LOL!

image33721.jpg

Just a few left down here and then this area gets reconfigured again. From this point on, every time there's space out there someone gets moved out.

image33736.jpg

The White Widow's flowers are building.

image33737.jpg

Her top is beginning to bust out in trichomes. :woohoo:

image33738.jpg

Carnival adapted quickly to the pink sun. She's right at home in here with all this room and all these new companions.

image33739.jpg

Things are getting ready to surge.

image33746.jpg

The flowering girls are smelling divine.

image33747.jpg

image33748.jpg

Afghani #2 is enjoying the space increase too. She was awfully cramped back in that corner.

image33749.jpg

Another joyful day running at full tilt. Haha! I may not get the transplanting done until tomorrow morning. Too many distractions today. The beginning of the month has many financial obligations and those are still challenging me since he died. It's like the money hits the bank and I freeze. Bills still need to be paid in a timely manner Susan.

I don't plan to harvest anyone tomorrow so it's just a round of drenches and the Brix foliar I missed today. Sleep took priority this morning, dinner this evening. Sometimes those schedules drive me crazy. Then I look at these plants and take a couple hits and I'm ok. :battingeyelashes:

Get out there and spread that joy far and wide people. We do a bang-up job of cultivating it on this site and I like to imagine it seeping out to cover the earth, a sweet golden shimmer of giggly pleasure. Remember me, the unquenchable optomist? Yeah, I'm always gonna go to joyful. :laughtwo:

I'll be seeing you around the threads. I may have more to update later, if I'm in the mood to do anything more when I get home. Right now I have the driving syncopated rhythms of INXS "Never Let You Go" running on a loop and it's pushing this buzz like nothing I have ever experienced, so I'm going to enjoy that for a couple more reps and then head home. That pumpkin cake was delicious.

:Namaste:

I must say, this was one of the sweetest shares we've had in a while. Thank you. I feel for your dad. There's no way to prepare for the lonliness. I'm 61 and I hope I never lose that rush music gives me sometimes. I love to be stopped in my tracks by something unexpectedly beautiful.

Weaselcracker, that's right, it was you. The sad returned Jack Herer. Times have changed. :battingeyelashes:

I'll be watching for your picture in your shirt.
