Brother with the view you have folk would fight tooth and nail to have a grow spot like yours, and it's only the size of your pots that hold you back, ooh I can see a forest coming this summer time...:rofl::rofl::rofl:

So the girls are all flowering apart from a few sativas that are only just starting to to from buds so I'm looking at harvesting possibly well into may or even June which is winter time for me and that means frost Inthe early mornings which invites its own problems with mold and bud rot..
The girls are covered with 40% shade netting which is being sewn on this week which will help with protection for the girls left during winter.

So I'll start with my favourite girls being the Shivas.... :snowboating:

This girl is just pure solid, there is no give when you squeeze her all the way down the main cola, her lower arms are also identical copies of the main cola. She is my most impressive girl so far in structure, but her sisters are not far behind at all......

She is a hybrid version of shiva and she is no less spectacular than her sister, here structure is more sativa dom but her bud structure is more indica dom, she still has a fair bit of bulking up to do but I wonder if get as fat as her sister, if she does or surpasses that I going to be smiling for weeks to come....hahaha

This lovely lady is sativa dom in appearance as well a bud structure, she'll produce long thin-med thickness colas, with her and shiva 2 I've put a bamboo/wire support frame around the 2 of them as ( never would I have thought I would have to support the buds )......:snowboating:

The arms on both trees have really started drooping to the point that they now need support, the rain we have had the last couple of days i adding more weight so I'm up early and in the garden giving the branches a shake to get rid of the water...
I've already broken a branch or 2 from shaking a bit vigorously.... A cpl buds have beeen cropped too from my shaking but they haven't lost any vigor....

Storms a rumbling, will I get another update in....???? Who knows we shall have to wait and see....haha

Well done on the strip mate! As derby said shell thank you tremendously in the long run.

Haha . I've only moved here in May so Will get next year's grow down solid. Thinking some vertical trellis vibes that I can wrap around my sundeck. That's how I usually grow. Just weave through the trellis, keep the plants flat and in full sun all day. Will see though.
Still nothing like soil and grass under your feet when in the garden and the fact your ladies can stretch their legs as much as they want. My previous place had a great garden. I miss that. I have pretty much full sun the entire day here which is great. Tradeoffs.

You reckon it's a candidate brother, I'll have a nosy and see as don't check the contests being in South Africa with postage and such...

Trellis would be the way to go brother, watching the girls grow this season even in the ground I'm limited to head room with the girls growing as I only planted them in 2nd last week of November and some of the sativas grew taller than I expected.... I also found they get unruly at certain stages and if I don't stay on top they go all over the place....
I'm already planning summers spots as I'm thinking of topping all the girls and training them like your monster crop girl as I think i would get a better yield maby, my spacing at the moment is a metre between each girl.

Hmm yeah I'd go like 2m maybe more in between. Depends though... are you planning on doing a spring plant? I like to start on spring day hah. Then you have an 8 or 9 month grow. I'm always surprised how much better the smoke is after a long ass grow season.
Yeah top the girls if that's your vibe and then just gotta stay on top on tying down and plenty super cropping.
You could always take a few small pop corn buds at harvest time, root them and you have a monster crop for spring. Do you grow indoor or have a space to keep cutting going over winter ? Would love to see one of your babies monster cropped and in the ground for a full season grow.
Hah now I remembered I have a friend with a massive garden in bishops court I can try it. Winning
 
I have 2 chemovars from SA, one is from Transkei and one is Swazi. Neither are pure landrace, I would love to know what they were crossed with. We will never know for sure but I’m guessing both have potential.

I reckon I might attempt the cropping route, as I have 16 spots to fill come spring time and I'm a big fan of the quadline style of growing which is similiar to your monster crop girl with all the training and cropping.
Check out @Asesino85 hes the guy who honed this particular method and named it, he is crazy good.
There are 4 monstercrops in the garden, they are a local sativa strain bred by a guy in Pietermaritzburg who I get smoke from once in awhile, look for the " grannys balls " in my journal they on the 2nd to last page..... They got very unruly and a total mess inside so I trimmed/lollipopped them cpl weeks back and now they packing it on.....
Ill do the " LeRugged " monster crop just for you brother....haha I got some sativas that would be prime candidates, they are also monster clones from a jack of spades girl from last year and then a Candyland also ripe for the plucking but now you've got me thinking and I'm wondering if I'll get away with 1 of the shivas as they were my favs this season and I wouldn't mind having them next round....

You won't get much finer than Transkei and Swazi even if it's been crossed somewhere along the lines, have you run either of them....???

I say if you don't have a cut of your favorite plants better to take them than not. Leave like 4 on the plants at harvest. Popcorn are perfect ones to use as you can dry some bud and smoke it before the cure and see which ones are the ones you want. Then you can fill your space with your favorite plants.
I hear you with unruly. I should have cleaned up long before I did and if I'm honest I would have had better growth.
So jealous of your space.

Morning everyone hope y'all having a blessed weekend, had an almighty lightning storm last night but I never heard a sound go figure....haha

I don't actually have much to report really the girls are doing fine, getting bigger in the buds department and other than some bud rot in my favourite Shivas main cola and a cpl tears later she's happy I'm happy....lol
