Good evening all far and near, I trust you've all been having an awsome weekend, I've had a quiet one as its been mostly rain filled couple of days...
I apologise ahead of time if I disappear mid way as there's a bad electrical storm approaching so switch my router off as I've lost 3 due to lightning strikes last few years...lol

So the girls are all flowering apart from a few sativas that are only just starting to to from buds so I'm looking at harvesting possibly well into may or even June which is winter time for me and that means frost Inthe early mornings which invites its own problems with mold and bud rot..
The girls are covered with 40% shade netting which is being sewn on this week which will help with protection for the girls left during winter.

So I'll start with my favourite girls being the Shivas.... :snowboating:

1743891

That is my " View of the day " I couldn't think of a more beautiful sight to end the day with as the sun sets just behind that compost bin...

1st girl indica Dom.

1743892
1743895
1743896

This girl is just pure solid, there is no give when you squeeze her all the way down the main cola, her lower arms are also identical copies of the main cola. She is my most impressive girl so far in structure, but her sisters are not far behind at all......

Shiva 2...

1743913
1743914
1743915

She is a hybrid version of shiva and she is no less spectacular than her sister, here structure is more sativa dom but her bud structure is more indica dom, she still has a fair bit of bulking up to do but I wonder if get as fat as her sister, if she does or surpasses that I going to be smiling for weeks to come....hahaha

Shiva 3...

1743922
1743920
1743915

This lovely lady is sativa dom in appearance as well a bud structure, she'll produce long thin-med thickness colas, with her and shiva 2 I've put a bamboo/wire support frame around the 2 of them as ( never would I have thought I would have to support the buds )......:snowboating:

The arms on both trees have really started drooping to the point that they now need support, the rain we have had the last couple of days i adding more weight so I'm up early and in the garden giving the branches a shake to get rid of the water...
I've already broken a branch or 2 from shaking a bit vigorously.... A cpl buds have beeen cropped too from my shaking but they haven't lost any vigor....

Storms a rumbling, will I get another update in....???? Who knows we shall have to wait and see....haha

Wow Smeegs... nailing it! Looks like you got a bunch of Christmas trees in there. Shivas look great as you said. I can see why they are your favs!
Stay well Smeegs!
Looking like Christmas there, Smeegs. Fir(like) trees all over :)

Morning guys cheers for the kind words.... :snowboating: had a crazy storm last night almost nervous for sunrise....lol will probably need a life preserver to float through the garden...haha.
How's the evening been guys...?

Morning everyone hope you guys have all had a ppleasant evening and your gardens are overflowing in abundance and I can think of a few you.....:ganjamon: So after some loving rain last even though I wish it was less I'm not complaining, I could do with a cpl hundred more open containers to catch the rain though...haha

So getting back to yesterday's update I'll move onto the " Banana Experiment ' girl which I took 3 clones of ( don't think I showed last week ) they are sativa dominant as well ( Jack of spades bag seed ) and have only just stated budding properly so 8-10 weeks left I reckon, I should write this down but I got a journal so I'm safe for now....

Jack of Spades.....

1744494
1744495
1744496

Out of the the 3 clones only 1 resembles the traditional Xmas tree shape, where the other 2 both have a lower branch on either side that is almost at tall as the main apical stem, they each a tree on their own almost....

Last week Monday I got stuck into the Candyland and gave her a good trim under the skirt and lollipopped everything below the net. I let her recover the rest of the week and with the rain and lightning she went a bit beserk....hahah she really grew a lot I was shocked and it was only after I took the pics I cropped all the leaders of the pack. I was a bit pissed though as the 1 leading branch looked nice and supple but when I super cropped over my thumb there was a audible snap and she was gone hanging by a thread of outer skin.....
So I'll snap a pic later and show you her canopy.

1744501
1744502

She's going to a beast hopefully depending on how much more they going to stretch I might need to start thinking how to support her, what do you think...??

I never thought I would say I'd have hanging/sagging colas but the Grannys balls are all over the place...haha not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...haha So I spent the afternoon rigging up a bamboo/wire support frame around the girls as those branches would be hanging on the ground this morning with the rain last night or worse snapped branches.....

Grannys Balls......

1744522
1744523
1744524

1744526
1744527

So some very top heavy colas so going to see if anymore need supporting other than the main ones I did yesterday...... With the shade cloth on now it's provides shelter from a storm but still a lot of water accumulation on the colas....

Lastly is my #StitchedupKush auto she's also been getting lots of rain but I've move been moving her in at night for her dark periods... She's about a ruler length in height but she has very compact buds and trich production is coming along nicely....

#StitcheUpKush.....

She hit the 60 day mark on Saturday I beleive but I'll check that bit later..

Have a great day guys n gals if you just waking or sleep well if your evening is ending....:thanks:

And this is what I'm using for pest control on the outside and indoor girls....

Ludwigs Organic Insecticide...

1744554

It covers thrips, spider mites, white flies and a cpl others and seems to be working well on the outside girls as haven't had anything other than the odd caterpillar and a bug or a fly.....

I’m late - oh my. I’m so late!

I only just realised you were growing outside Smeegol. And wow what a garden :yummy: Totally a growers paradise with so many beautiful untopped trees outside. You must be having a ball.

The harvest festival is going to be perpetual in your outdoor garden for a few months it looks like - chop! ... chop! ... chop! ... chop! ... Smeegs’ friend: “and what are you doing this weekend?” ... Smeegs: “oh... chopping!”

SO many plants! I lost track because I caught up mostly by looking at pics over the last 15 pages, so I don’t really know what’s what - but wow those shivas :D:yummy

Such an awesome sight - all those beauties lined up under the sun!

:snowboating:Evening ms.Amy you are most welcome and thank you for the kind words.....

Yip harvest time is going to be fun, don't think the perpetual part has sunk in....hahaha
I actually started growing in a box in my lounge when I joined in jan 2018 but moved outdoor for summer and this is the result...haha but all that is in part to all the soil growers that i follow/lurk...lol

I've followed your journal last year and your new one I just follow and read and learn but sometimes the topics go way over my head in regards to growing and soil and docs kit......:rofl:

My favorites are the shivas as I have the full range from indica to a pure sativa by the looks of her...
Have you ever grown your local abc strainas there's grower here at home whose been growing a plant from seeds she was gifted and I have to admit it is a very unusual looking plant.....
Is it a viable strain to grow to use for meds or not enough plant material which I would assume from the pic I saw.....?

I hope you having a wonderful day and say hi to the weekly critter and your old kangroo.....haha

I love the Sativas! Super looking colas on them.

Morning mr.Penny thank you for the kind words brother. I've never liked sativas as to me they ugly looking ( but that's because they are everywhere here in South Africa ) when I head into town or go for a drive you see local sativas growing everywhere, wherever smokers find a place to roll a smoke and toss seeds something pops up sooner or later...
I take my dogs for a walk and check out my neighborhood for stray plants or speak to the homeowners if they are at home and offer advice or ask them to remove the offending male if there's one..lol
But I saw yesterday that a cpl of girls have picked up pollen from an outside source but I'm not worried as it will all go to to making meds, seeds and all......lol

I have nothing to say Smeegs... simply awesome seeing outdoor gardens such as yours. Outside is where it's at.
Like many others on this side, we are anxiously awaiting Spring.
:bravo:

Your summer will be magic brother, thank you kindly and the wait is almost over crikey I'm actually nervous to see the beauties you going to produce outside...haha

Go Smeegs!!! :theband::cheer::hippy:

Trimming party at smeegols! golum

mr.Fish brother I'm actually well nervous about a trimming party as it will be my first proper harvest, so you are more than welcome to join me in trim jail, I'll supply all the smoke and snacks..... :snowboating:

Donkey dicks all over the garden Smeegs ! Eff yeah ! You are going to make much medicine with the trim. Canna coconut oil, hash, topicals are a few to spring to mind.

Morning mr.K I can't wait as its going to make some much needed meds for myself and a few folk who who suffer from ailments, my sis in law has crohns takes oil daily but the prices folk charge for 5ml of oil is daylight robbery basically a months salary for some, so she's been without for 2 months now so harvest time couldn't come any sooner....

I like donkey dicks, never had any to call my own brother......:snowboating: Have a blessed evening...lol
