The Jerky Box Project: OG Kush & Haze 2.0

Ok so I think I've got another pic of the Candyland I wanted to show....
Sorry bout that doesn't want to load....

So don't know if any of you remember my Grannys Balls strain I had going last year but due to them growing in those pallet boxes which I removed later on ( didn't survive transplant but luckily I took clones ) the original granny strain came about as an accidental pollination with Road Kill Skunk as the male donor the fe,ale recipient is unknown but the girls are very sativa dominant and the smoke was like a speedway in your head type of buzz.

Grannys Balls...

So these are the 4 granny monster clones, I took them 3 weeks into flower and they really went beserk in the branch department whilst growing, they have been the most unruly out of all the girls I have and I've left them to finish now as they went crazy with mini shoots everywhere so they shall be what they are...
But oh gees Louise are these girls sticky I tell ya, they don't look like they have mushy trichs but once you touch them it's a diffrent story,mi actually had to use soap and hot water to get the stickiness of my hands today so that buoyed my expectations a bit today as 2 weeks back I wasn't really hopeful that these girls are going to produce anything worthy but I think I'm going to be pleasantly surprised......:ganjamon:

And lastly is a little seed project attempted at making reg auto seeds, so far I'm pleased to say I'm really excited about these 2 girls as I dropped 5 seeds to see how they are and I culled 3 males...

Without further lollygagging may I introduce #StitchedUpKush...

KushVanStitch X Kush auto.

The male pollen donor is KushVanStitch auto flash seedz X Kush fem auto seedzman.
They are 2 weeks apart and I'm really liking them so far, I never got to smoke from the Kush auto as it was entirely used for a seed run so it's total new beginnings with this grow as I don't know what to expect from either strains but so far I'm really liking what I see, the are both sticky as hell and really starting to smell lovely... I move them into a trailer that's next to my garden where I've blacked out the only window for the 12 hours darkness and every day I notice them fattening and growing....

In the next run of #SUK that I run I'm going to be looking for the tallest male and tallest female as I'm trying to incorporate the super auto genetics that are found in the flash seed strains as I want to create a hardy outdoor auto that can cope with my summers and mild winters.... I've had a fascination with autos ever since I first got interested in them so figured this is a worthwhile project to take on as photos don't do well outdoors during winter unless you can add supplemental lighting in the evenings. I would like to be able to enclose my tunnel one day so growing outdoors in winter is possible but that's another days project......

Hey Smeegs. that looks awesome. By the time harvesting comes some of those gonna be monsters.
hobbiting along nicely. in the background of one of the pics I saw some smaller plants.
Man I wish I had the space but I also have landlord issues, so I have to try to hide the grows in the greenhouse.
My Buddha Cheese is starting to give off quite a smell as well. Fortunately nobody gets to close to my stuff because all are a little afraid of my Alsatian cross Husky. He's a beaut and great nature but protects the piece of dirt we are on to the teeth.
How long does the plant you want to crop still have in flowering. buds look pretty new so you may still have a chance I think. maybe some wisdom from more experienced guys.
Still, a great grow!!!!!!!
:adore:

Heya she's only been in flower for about a week and a bit as she was the last to start flowering, but I reckon I could do another net on top but I don't have that experience either so I do hope someone else jumps in, actually I think @TheMadDabber mitht be able to help as he's a Scrog wizard I think....lol

Cheers kindly for the kind words brother, I have 2 dogs and a cat that protect my garden as they are in there just as much as I am......

Evening folks so it's been a really awsome day, nice cool weather after a sweltering day yesterday the girls enjoyed the rain and looked real good this morning....

I've been really fortunate outdoors so far haven't had any of the usual pests luckily only had to pluck off the odd caterpillar that's been observed, the bees that live in the yard have certainly enjoyed the garden this year....

All my girls are officially in flower now it's to get them over the finish line without any casualties hopefully....haha

And welcome to another update old friends and new.... :snowboating:

So to recap on what's in the garden ladies and gents....

5x Shiva Shanti ( 2 indica, 2 hybrids, 1x sativa variant )
3x Jack of Spades clones
1x Candyland ( quad and messy Scrog )
4x Grannys Balls ( local bred sativa strain )
2x #StitchedUpKush ( KushVanStitch X Kush ) auto

The Shiva Shantis have impressed the most out of all the girls, the indica and 2 hybrids are going to be my special ones and the smoke I'm most excited to try....lol
The sativa version is what i expect of our local sativa landrace as these seeds were from an outdoor grow.

The Shiva Sisters..

I forgot to take a pic of the main cola, and when I tell you I was actually giddy with excitement when I felt how dense that main cola is....lol, it's quite a feeling when you realize the love and hard work is paying off.....

The lower branches all vary in length but the buds are just as dense so I'm super chuffed, they went into the ground last week of November and probably have another 4-5 weeks to go but that is purely guessing at the moment...

Shiva Hybrids.

1739603

This Shiva leans more to the indica parentage in the genetic although you can see the sativa influence in her but he bud structure and compactness is more indica all her buds are starting to thicken up nicely including the main cola.. But I noticed this evening she has a very fruity smell to her unlike the previous girl who does smell of garlic that lingers after you touched it with your fingers....

Shiva Hybrid 2.

1739602

Shiva #3 has more sativa influence in the Linder bud formation and leaves, I haven't quite smelt her yet as lots of fragrances going around...rather pleasant I have to admit...lol

Another Shiva..

1739604

I have to admit it's only been in the last 3-4 days now that she's started developing and becoming a bit of looker so I'm going to be watching her carefully as she develops more, she's also my only pink pistoles girl of the season which I believe is a trait that's not passed on through genetics but more the individual trait of that plant. She has broader leaves out of all the hybrids if I remember correctly....

Shiva The Sativa..

1739622

This is the only Shiva that has 95-100% sativa parentage, her structure is developing nicely although I'm quite intrigued as to what to expect from the smoke...haha

Candy land...

She started out in a 20lt pot and I was training her as you would a quadline, she started getting root bound in the pot and being so I transplanted her into the ground. I lost control of the quadline approach as she she got out of hand very quickly so I attempted a wacky Scrog net which has worked to control the growth spurt as she's the last girl to hit the flowering stretch.

I took a cpl pics from ground level and above to hopefully give you an idea of what she looks, she covers bout a 1m square but I don't whether to put another Scrog on top or if I've left it too late.....????

1739625
1739624

Can I crop the taller arms do think guys to bring it level the rest of canopy and put a last Scrog over or should I rather crop the lankier buds.....????

I'm about 1 pic away from running out of space so join me again in the next post .....:snowboating:
Damn smeegs the gardens looking beautiful mate. Those shivas all look sexy!!!. Like that sativa girl with her super spiky self.
When you say crop do you mean supercrop? I dont have a problem personally about supercropping in flower. If you mean chopping off tops then I would say no. Only sacrifice lowers not tops. I would rather go underneath and take out poor growth down there to free it up than take a top bud thats already developing nicely.

Evening there mr.Budkins my bad I meant super crop brother....hahaha
While I was taking pics earlier this evening of her I took a look underneath and she could do with a good clean up, reckon I'll do that in the early morning before gets too hot....
Ok so you reckon I can super crop to get an even canopy would you recommend putting another Scrog on top or leave her be......???

Afternoon guys n gals, so you ask yourself what can Smeegs have done this time.....

So my gorilla glue autos are no longer part of the living as I freaked out 2 weeks ago when I found caterpillars on both them, I didn't have anything to hand so I rushed out and bought an organic pesticide made of garlic extract....

Sprayed the crap out of my girls and it was like a caterpillar parade comings out of the buds, I also burnt the living crap out of them, I cried......

I only have 2 little buds left on 1 plant...

Moving on.
Shit man that sucks dude

What shit taste left in your mouth eh bro

That one even hurt me

Hate sad stories

Garlic is supposed to help, as well as water and dishwashing liquid.
Did the sun burn them?
I am lucky to have come across this info

Nice bird :Namaste:

:adore:

Nothing beats a cheese smell....haha I've 1-2 variations of the cheese strain which I haven't tried yet, they were gifted to me by another grower they are f1-f2 runs he's been working with which which sound interesting will have to check what they are.....haha

Damn this evenings flown by and I'm still wide awake......

Garden looks splendid Smeegs. She looks early enough in flower to super crop still. If you are worried about her line of sight from neighbors maybe you could move some stuff around on the farm to obstruct the view point as well.

I don't think Smeegol has much of a problem with neighbors. I don't worry to much but I have about 70-80 farm workers wandering around on the farm and guys fixing things, mowing a lawn from time to time, repairing a wind-torn tunnel next to me etc.
My landlord and his family run the farm and they are pro Tomatoes but not Cannabis. ( so far )
Probably my post you saw.

Just was wondering why he was worried about keeping her from going full throttle upwards.
Probably damage control. we get unpredictable winds and storms with wind etc,

Morning guys she is more than welcome to go full throttle upwards upwards....haha
I was just wondering if another Scrog on top would benefit the eventual outcome, I don't have to worry bout neighbours as I'm making meds for the the neighbours wife as she has stomach cancer....
The mielies/corn are there acting as a wind break cause we do get gale force winds which have uprooted 1 of the Grannys balls twice this season but that's also due to my garden being on a slight downhill tilt which levels out slightly to as it enters my garden and my garden is underwater by about 2-3cm for and hour or 2 after a heavy rain storm...

So do you guys reckon I leave the Scrog off and let her go wild and upwards....lol

Morning guys n girls so it's going to be a rather warm day today, mostly cloudy with a high of 32c/89f, better go five the girls a feed before it gets too hot.... And more importantly give my Candyland girl a trim under her skirts this morning got to deal with pesky paper thorns almost like running a gauntlet...lol
