Looking good over here Retrix. Love the extra effects. Very easy on the eyes.

Thank you Derby. Hopefully she grows up to be a very large and healthy woman. LOL

The Moon and the Wind are fighting.
October 13, 2018

I had the tent open the other day before lights on. Luna was out of the tent under softer lighting to relieve some heat stress, when I noticed the tent power up. The MoonShot lit up in usual fashion with a quick flicker and then blinding light filling the room behind me. Then in a more labored and slow start up, the exhaust fan started spooling up-- It takes about 10 seconds to get up to full RPM with the speed control turn all the way down to low.
Then I noticed The MoonShot go out on one side. I quickly turn it off. Then on again. It continued to flicker then go out on one side. I turned off the exhaust fan and the light stayed on with no issues. I know that the Kasa Smart has a 15 Amp limit but I thought I was well under that. If you add up the vero's at lets say 2 amps each, that's about 8 amps. The Noctua's are about .5 amps each so 2 more amps bring us to 10. My box fan pulls another amp, with the exhaust fan pulling .75, if you believe the data sheet. A quick search on the manufacturers site and the claim is 1.78 amps. Who knows?
Here is what I know for a fact. The amperage of any given electric motor will double for a few seconds upon start up. That is the reason AC compressors have to use a starter motor. (A smaller motor to start the bigger motor to keep the Amperage down.)

If I add all of these things up, I'm pretty close to being either at the 15 Amp limit, or slightly going over it on start up. So with that, I will be putting the MoonShot on it's own dedicated smart plug with its own 15 Amp limit, and I will use the power-strip to run all of the fans (and in the future) the water pump(s)

The drawback is that we lose energy monitoring on the MoonShot, as the mini plugs don't have that feature. Oh well. It would probably be better that I can't look at how much money it's costing to run the damn thing anyway.

This week we start calcium dosing at 1 part solution, to 500 parts water Or 7.4 ml per gallon.

It is also time for the first magnesium foliar spray at 3/4 teaspoon per 32 oz water

There you go who needs a furnace this fall/winter? Looking great Retrix the Journal and the baby girl.:bong:

I know right? I'm kind of shocked right now but I'm sure this won't last. lol And thanks for the compliment. I'm hoping that I can finally have a grow where I'm not dealing with calcium issues. So far so good.

Wow Retrix talk about a high tech grow setup lol. Your GSC is looking lovely as well. Can't wait to see how this one grows for you. Enjoy your day my friend!!!

Thank you Cav, and welcome. I have looked at quite a few pictures of this strain and I'm always mesmerized by how the buds look. I want to see this in real life. She is like a 33 dollar lottery scratch off ticket. to date, the most expensive single seed I have ever bought so I hope it is worth it.

Come to think of it GSC is one of the big name strains I haven't tried yet. I've seen it at the dispensary but always went a different route. Depending how yours grows I may be purchasing a $33 scratch off myself lol.
