@RETRIX awesome pic! So you’re supersoil, can you talk a little about how it all goes together? I’m new to the idea of making my own soil. Perhaps there’s a thread or website I could check out on the subject?

Thank you for being so helpful with your knowledge brother!

Hello again AG!! Thank you kindly for the link! I’ve been very curious about growing in organic super soil. I’ve talked to my growshop guy about it a little. I like that you can just water no mixing things.

What would y’all say is your most fave/least fave thing about growing in organic soil?

The tastes! and not dealing with synthetic chems during - which was never really an option for me anyway... organic everything all the way.

@LaquerHead has a pretty much ‘water only’ (i think) organic soil grow going on at the moment too. And bobrown or Van Stank would be the main go to growers for DIY soil mixes.

I'm going to get pretty in depth about organic soil during this grow so hopefully it can help you. I haven't quite figured everything out yet but hopefully I'm getting close.

Thanks for the shout out! @Amy Gardner

I topdress every month or two, depending on what the girls are asking for! Other than that its just water and aloe/silica. Anything else is extra!

Here they are just starting flower this round

Those plants are absolutely gorgeous Laquer. Just perfect. This is why I long organic growing. You just can't beat nature.

Alright damnit I’m getting sucked into organics quickly. I read for the last couple hours about various ways to cook your own, but they all make a crap ton more soil than I’d need in the near future. Is there a more economical way to make my own? Just need like 10-15 gallons worth.

Also can you reuse this soil ?

I grew up on a farm and my family was always gardening so I have a general idea of organics, however I learned a lot of the more specific stuff from a guy on you tube. Search for:
Learn Organic Gardening at GrowingYourGreens.

There is one thing that he said that stuck with me. "Make sure your supplements come from as many different sources as possible." So yes, Definitely re-use your old soil. Along with the root ball as well.
